I love qdoba but this location has the worst staff. I feel like every time I’m in there, no one likes their job and is either unfriendly or flat out rude. I went to grab chips and queso the other day and the gal practically rolled her eyes when I asked for that at the cash register. Plus the bathrooms are always a mess.

Im a big qdoba fan(think it’s slightly better than chipotle when it comes to chain burrito spots). Always order the same thing — burrito bowl with no rice, double chicken, lettuce, guac, and hot sauce. Here, the portion is consistently smaller — seem pretty conservative with the portions even with a double meat order. Customer service is also pretty rude — «what do you want?». Maybe I’m just a delicate flower??? But every other qdoba I go to is much much better.

Great experience for lunch this week. The line was fast and the service was friendly. We were in and out for our fastest experience yet

It’s good. It’s not great. I’ve eaten at this location since it has opened and I loved it for many years, but recently the chicken quality isn’t what is has been. Some bites have some chewy or hard parts that aren’t consistent with what your burrito chicken should be. I quit Chipolte a long time ago to eat here. I may have to quit Qdoba to go to Illegal Petes.

Our family of four frequented this restaurant from its opening, up until about three years ago, when we changed our patterns for a variety of reasons. The restaurant back then was clean and vibrant, the staff friendly, and the portions and prices in alignment. In fact, we still see the former staff around town, and are greeted like the old friends that we became. More recently,(this week – October 14, 2013) we stopped in for dinner, for old time’s sake. We should have stuck with our pleasant memories! As it was, the staff was unfriendly(rampant flirting among staff and management took precedence over customer service), the preparation area a filthy disaster area(can’t have met Code – food and filth and trash all over the serving area floor), and the portions less than adequate for the prices charged. It is sad to see how quickly and markedly a business can change for the worse!

I don’t normally eat at Qdoba, because I’ve been underwhelmed by the value for the money. In other words, they charge too much for yucky food. Ordinarily, I try not to write bad reviews, unless I think they’re actually needed as a public service. A friend from work wanted to run out for lunch, and chose Qdoba because they’d received a coupon via text yesterday evening that said it was«good until tomorrow.» We arrived, and made our menu choices, but when we got to the front register, the person said the coupon was expired. The manager then came over and bickered with my coworker, who was completely reasonable throughout. Finally, he agreed to give her the discount, but snidely said«not because of what the coupon says, but because you’re insisting on it.» That was incredibly jerky and unprofessional. When we got back to the office with our food, the rest of the fun began — trying to eat it. I got some sort of barbecue chicken burrito thing(I can’t remember the long, pretentious version of the name). First, the“tortilla” wrapper was sticky and rubbery(I tried to cut it with a knife, and it would just stick to the knife and pull like taffy. It was like unbaked bread dough, not a tortilla. Second, every single ingredient was below room temperature. That’s not only unappetizing, it means they’re not storing their ingredients at a safe temperature, and are probably breeding loads of bacteria — that is if the bacteria can stand to consume the kind of mess I was served. our workplace is literally two minutes from the«restaurant» as they surely style themselves. Not enough time for food to get cold. I ended up heating the sodden mess of mostly rice with sauce all over it in the microwave. And then the best part of my meal. Sugary, nasty, overpowering, cheap barbecue sauce, with the occasional bit of what should have been chicken, but which was mostly gristle. Every other bite of chicken had nasty, gristly cartilage bits in it. Completely disgusting, and I ended up not being able to eat it. So, misleading coupons, bad attitude from the manager, lousy ingredients served at unsafe temperature. Oh, and this meal that I couldn’t even eat? It cost me about ten bucks. At least the ladies who actually assembled my inedible foodlike substance were nice. I pity them having to work for that manager, and touch that food. Revolting. Utterly revolting. I’ve had better meals at Taco Bell, and I’m not even sure what kind of animal goes into their meat. But I’m serious — There are Taco Bells where I will eat again, but this experience has written Qdoba off my menu.

This is definitely one of the better locations. Besides the clean environment they have free student drinks to compete with the Chipotle across the street.

I have been to this location multiple times and have yet to be impressed. I am usually greeted by a very unfriendly«What do you want?» With that being said, there is one young lady that is always really nice despite her rude co-workers. The food rocks but the customer service is horrible. I am only now writing this because I am done going to this location. I’ve given them enough tries. The two stars is for that one awesome employee.

I work really close to here so I visit this location a lot. Some of the employees have worked here for years and are consistently friendly. This location now offers brown rice or wheat tortillas which is a nice bonus if you’re looking for more whole grains. I only wish they would mix their burritos like they do at Illegal Pete’s. They will do it if you ask, but they always give you a funny look… I mean, who wants to bite into a burrito and get nothing but a mouthful of a single ingredient at a time?

I ordered the three cheese nachos late in the day on Sunday with the sour cream. Apparently the sour cream had gone bad and I had an almost immediate reaction that included vomiting. I reported it and got a blank stare in response. Sour cream cannot be left on the serving table at room temperature or it will go bad.

I guess I’m just a Chipotle fan, Qdoba just doesn’t do it for me, the meat seems weird, the salsas are not flavorful, the workers would be great if they were building a car and didn’t need to interact with the customer, but alas they seemed annoyed when you tell them what you want. I do think their special of 3 street tacos and a 2 oz cup of beans for $ 5 is quite comical though. I’ve tried them a few times but ti just doesnt compare to Chipotle.

Let’s see, out of all the places in town: Big City Burrito Chipotle Fish Taco Dime-a-dozen I chose Qdoba. Why? Because they’re consistent. And they’re on 28th. And they don’t suck.

FYI: Z is gluten-free(which means she can’t eat wheat, rye, or barley) so our reviews are all from the gluten-free perspective. We care about how many gluten-free options the restaurant has and how helpful the staff is in dealing with our concerns. When restaurants don’t have very many gluten-free options or if the staff isn’t helpful or knowledgeable, eating out can be difficult and frustrating when you are gluten-free. We’ve developed two categories for 1 Star restaurants: Gluten Gluttons and Hardly Helpfuls! If you are hungry and gluten-free, we recommend you try someplace else! Qdoba Mexican Grill — GLUTENGLUTTON So long as you steer clear of flour tortillas, Mexican food is ordinarily a good option for gluten-free dining. However, when we asked at Qdoba if they used wheat in their seasonings, the employee informed us that there are traces of wheat in everything at Qdoba, so there was nothing at all for me to order. But they do get bonus points for being able to answer my questions right away and being apologetic when we had to turn around and leave. — — — — — – GLUTENGLUTTON! A restaurant receives the title of Gluten Glutton when, in our experience, the menu has extremely limited or zero gluten-free options and they can’t or won’t make alterations. HARDLYHELPFUL! A restaurant receives the title of Hardly Helpful when, in our experience, the staff has no idea what«gluten-free» means and they are either unable or unwilling to help you order.
