After traveling to Southern India last year, I’ve had a difficult time finding an authentic Indian restaurant. I’ve stopped my search! Tiffins is amazing, and really affordable in addition. Everything is delicious!!!

Love this place … it won’t stay a secret much longer. I expect it to outgrow it’s space fast.

Super casual atmosphere. I’d expect college kids in their pajamas, though when I went there was no one else dining. The food is really really good, comparable to Sherpas or Katmandu. The saag is quite different from what I’m used to at the other two places. Many more spices and a completely different texture(really really good though!). I’d say the prices are the same. $ 10 plates. Great if you don’t want to put regular clothes on but still want some authentic Indian food!

It’s not often that I give 5 stars on a review, but Tiffins deserves it. They have Incredible savory dishes with nuanced spicing at great prices. In fact, I’m really not sure why they get two dollar signs — most of their entrees are 8.95 or 9.95 and at lunch they offer one curry and rice for something like 5.95 and three for 8.95. Don’t expect ambience, but this food could be served at a white tablecloth joint for twice the price. The most difficult thing about going to Tiffins is deciding what to get. My favorite dish is their gorgeous masala dosa, a giant crêpe made with chick pea or lentil flour — I’m not sure which– stuffed with a potato based savory filling and complemented by sambhar and some amazing sauces. But each of their dishes I’ve had has been excellent — I love the mattar paneer and bhegan Bharta and my friend assures me the chicken curries are also excellent. It’s great to have food of this quality in a delivery restaurant!

This is probably the best Indian food I’ve had in Boulder. It’s not only delicious either, it’s inexpensive. And this coming from a poor college student. I love getting the lunch deal of one curry and rice with naan. Fills me up for hours for $ 7. The mango smoothie is also delicious.

Best lunch deal in town. And naan for a buck! Great dosas, super nice family who I love to support.

I like Tiffins, casual South Indian food. Budget priced and good portions. You will find a lot of students and Indian nationals dining there. My suggestion: please create an interesting Tali place with a variety of these dishes. You can also order from the menu and portions are big. One of the more original Indian restaurants in Boulder, most places here are Nepalese.

Amazing Indian food – the best in Boulder by far. Great traditional food such as Dosa, idli, vada, sambhar, as well as the standards like chole, saag, vindalu, korma, etc. Very flavorful and they can adjust the spice to taste(and hot means hot). Excellent value, and large portions. I also recommend trying the lunch special, when they have several pre-made items(changes day by day but some are not even on the normal menu), and you can get a variety. Friendly staff, and pleasant atmosphere.

The best Indian food I’ve found in Boulder! I’ve gotten the chicken tikka masala and chicken saag which were both so delicious. The chicken is so tender — it pulls right apart and it’s moist. I also get the masala dosa, which is an ultimate favorite of mine but sometimes harder to find. I was pleased to find it here and even happier when I tried it — yum! I agree the spiciness scale is higher than other places but not by much. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pretty casual so I see it as more of a take out place. A must try!

I’m from Maryland, where there are more options for Indian/Pakistani/Nepali food, so I have had the opportunity to be more picky over there. In Boulder, most Indian restaurants cater to a more«local» taste if you want to be politically correct. But Tiffins is different. The food is spicy and very flavorful. The food is south Indian style, which typically means the use of more vegetables and cheese, but there are meat dishes served as well. If you enjoy genuine good south Indian style food, Tiffins will not disappoint you.

Tiffins offers tasty and affordable Indian dishes in a casual setting. Counter service only, with a fairly small selection, this place is perfect if you don’t want a formal sit-down meal but still crave Indian. A warning though – Tiffins food can be very spicy. All Indian restaurants seem to use a different scale of spiciness and if you don’t know what scale they use you can end up hungry or just destroyed(a Tiffins spicy dish could make you sick). I would advise anyone to order one step down from their usually preferred level of spiciness here. Mild is probably a safe bet for most.

First and foremost I have to say this restaurant’s hours are awesome. When all the other indian places in Boulder shut down after lunch and were closed before dinner, this place was still open. I got the Chicken curry and ordered it hot, it was hot lol The food had a lot of flavor and was definitely fresh. I wish they had more side dish options and it would have been nice if they served beer. Overall good experience and I would eat there again.

I stopped in for a quick lunch at Tiffin’s based on the previous reviews. There are a lot of Indian restaurants in Boulder and this one seemed like it would be quick and good for lunch. It is a smaller sized space with a counter you order from. They have lunch specials where you order combinations of dishes which is what I did. I got a saag and a korma with naan which was served in little metal bowls. All in all not unlike what you experience in the cafeteria of my company in India. It’s a great, convenient place and I will return.

What a gem! Growing up in Boulder and sampling real Indian food in NYC, the search for great Indian food in the Boulder/Louisville/longmont area has finally ended. This place is just what I search for as a culinary graduate and foodie. Simple. Placed quaintly on the end of a strip mall Tiffins is easy to pass. But do not let it! The interior is clean and understated, only about 12 tables in its entirety. Now this is not a sexy, pricey, low lit restaurant, Go to Pearl street for that. The menu is written plainly on a chalk board and the décor is lackluster. I was dining during dinner otherwise I would of chose one of there spectacularly priced lunch items, But I happily opted for a Lamb Vindaloo and a mango lassi. My mom chose the Saag. Upon ordering the pleasant man behind the counter asked how spicy I would like my dish prepared(this question is so rare that I am overjoyed at this point.) I ask for«very hot, I can take it» and I was NOT disappointed. The food took about 12−15mins to come out.(There were two other parties of four in the restaurant with us) but I patiently sipped my perfectly tart and refreshing mango lassi. The food was delivered on glorious silver trays with little silver pots containing our outstanding smelling entrees. My dish was very spicy, but bursting with the flavor one can only achieve by using a plethora of spices and crafty cooking techniques. I was delighted. My moms saag dish was just as glorious. Both of with were served PIPINGHOT(another example of care and great service) and stayed so.(Maybe those magic little silver pots?) I could barley manage to get through 1⁄3 of my meal. It was so filling and rich as could be! It was enough food for 2 – 3 portions for me. All and all I would %100 recommend Tiffins to anyone with a passion for real Indian food. This place is legit.

Best Indian food in Boulder. A good balance of North and Sound Indian dishes on menu. I am a frequent traveller to Boulder from NJ where you have top notch Indian restaurants and hence my expectations are high for Indian restaurants. Tiffin meets that level of expectations. Large quantities and excellent quality. I ordered tandoori chicken, Roti and shrimp curry. I have to warn you all on the spice level. Medium is what you should ask for, Indian level spicy is something not all can handle. I will definitely visit again

This simple little café in a busy shopping area and near the campus and some other big employers seems to have a very busy lunch time. I met some friends here and though near my usual places, it was my first time here. I do not eat a lot of Indian food but I found some simple choices that were very tasty and that met my dietary requirements. They made me a custom naan, a blend of the garlic naan and the cheese naan and it was very fresh and tasty. I paired it with the mango lassi and that was a more than adequate lunch. My friends tried several of the options of the lunch specials and they all seemed to enjoy themselves. The prices were very reasonable and the staff friendly.

Hmmm, this time around is a mixed feeling review… First and foremost, I call them in advance saying that I want to bring like 10 guests or so. I know its a tiny establishment that can at least accommodate more than 15 people at one seating. Anyways, way before Sunday August 17th2014, I call them again saying I am coming that afternoon. When I arrived, none of the seating are set up. Hence I inform Tiffins Staff, that I have 7 guests to arrive for our 12NOON Lunch. This event was on Sunday August 17th2014. The way they arrange the tables though I feel a little cramped for my friends was in a «Diagonal Manner» aka AWKWARD… Hmm… *BIGSIGH* The service was OK, though it does takes awhile for the food to come out. YES, you order at the Counter and the staffs will send your order to where you are seating. By the time everyone at our Party arrives, many more other Patrons came in and out either for Lunch Dining or TOGO Order. Okies, now with the food. Over all, from my friends Feedbacks. Some like it, some don’t. Particularly for those who order the Lunch Deal For the Day, its more underwhelming. aka Lunch Specials of the Day. Once again, I order the Masala Dosa($ 8.95) with tax is($ 9.71). Had my lunch there and TOGO Order aka Lamb Biryani($ 12.95) with tax($ 14.05) for Hubs. Ask for Extra Spicy for both dishes. YES, they deliver in terms of Spice level. but I am indeed torn coz, to recommend this establishment to my friends. To some who live all the way in Parker, Colorado, was a little underwhelmed… Even I see unfinished food of what my friends ordered especially for the«Set Menu». Could they have ordered the wrong things that afternoon. I wonder and ponder. *DOUBLEBIGSIGH* Maybe it was an OFF Day for Tiffins that Sunday afternoon. Above anything else, I will support Local Business of Mom and Pop establishment and since this establishment offer Dosa, and even Biryani OR Vindaloo, I don’t mind returning. As for the TOGO order it comes with«watered» down Raita… doable. Hence in conclusion, personally I WOULD Order OFF from their Menu. Not much on the Thali Menu or «set menu» since I prefer variety. As for the Cost of the Food, its Doable though definitely there can be improvement in terms of the dishes they offer. Please have more Variety and«expand» the Dosa Menu that would intrigued other Patrons appetite to explore on what Tiffins has to offer. Above anything else, I wish them ALL The Success in their Business and Future Undertakings and many more years to come especially in Boulder, Colorado! @165/2014
