Great pizza, excellent service, and a wide selection of beers. If you’re into fancy foods, try the chicken wrapped with prosciutto and a salad with Gorgonzola dressing. We go here often and are never disappointed.

Have been here 3 times the 1st time it was very good the second time the service was horrible and not the servers fault I blame the management as they were busy and under staffed and the lady I found out later is the owners wife did nothing but bark orders rather than try to help– the 3 rd time was the last as we listened to the same rude lady reprimand one of her employees in the bar area and used foul language towards him when I complained to the server about this he informed her that we were not happy about having to hear her and she made it a point to say to bad I am running a business here so we could hear it needless to say she is running a business without me as a customer now for sure.

We ended up here on September 11th after we decided not to wait at Bistro… really wish we had however. The restaurant was only about half full on a Friday night which should have been the first indicator. We sat for at least ten minutes before anyone addressed us. A table came in about 5 minutes after we got there and their drink orders were taken first… they were given bread(Which we had to request not one, not two, but three times before we ever got it) and my partners entrée was even given to that table by mistake which ended up making our food order even later. I ordered the ahi tuna picatta… it was terrible. The tuna was cooked all the way through and was the texture of tuna you would pull out of a can. The bread was ice cold and flavorless. The table was greasy and covered in oil when we sat down and I actually cleaned it with my napkin which came out filthy… when i asked for another napkin the server didn’t even ask about how the napkin became filthy but just took it and returned with another about five minutes later. The server incidentally was pretty useless. All he did anytime we asked for anything was tell us «not a problem» which normally i don’t mind but in this scenario it got to the point of flat out annoying. We finally started keeping tabs of how many times he was saying it… it became a game. The table behind us who came in after us, gotten served before us, was given our food, also was given a free desert by their server for all the mixups… our server did nothing and didn’t even offer to. Its not that we want free stuff but at least try to make the situation right… all we got was food… eventually…that was terrible… and a bad dining experience. Save your money, wait for a table somewhere else if you have to… and don’t go here.

This used to be such a great restaurant in Bowling Green. My past two visits have been awful. In summer 2014 I went on a Wednesday night with a group of women to have drinks and light food. It took 30 minutes to get our first round of drinks and over an hour to get our food. When asked to speak to a manager, we were told than no manager was there that day. I should have learned my lesson then. Tonight I took my family and parents there, and we had four adults and three kids. We were sat at a big table on the indoor porch at the front. They had ONE menu available for our whole table. The food took so long to come out that we finally asked for it to go because our children could not take any more. Other tables who arrived after us received their food about 20 minutes sooner and I started to wonder if we were getting bad service on purpose to discourage people from brining their kids. They gave us the check and a $ 20 gift card for a future visit. ??? I don’t think we will be back.

My husband and I went to Brickyard for dinner tonight with another couple. We have eaten at Brickyard several time, but not recently. After looking through the menu, we ordered two Margarita pizzas and jambalaya along with salads. When the server brought our pizza, the smell of garlic was so strong that I knew there was a problem. The menu says fresh tomatoes and basil, but dried basil was sprinkled on… not fresh. I saw too much uncooked garlic on my pizza, but I did give it a try and YUCK!, way, way too much garlic. I couldn’t eat another bite. The server was very nice, both pizzas went back and we ordered spaghetti. My husband sat with his jambalaya and picked at it while we waited for our substitute dinners. The server did offer to take his back and warm it, but he thanked her and kept the dish. When the spaghetti came, there was a long hair in one of the dishes. My friend just left her spaghetti and didn’t tell the server. After all, what could she do about it? We had been there two hours by that time and just wanted to leave. My husband asked the hostess for the manager, but no one ever came out to talk to us. They did comp our dinner. I had to stop and buy some gum, then couldn’t wait to get home to brush my teeth! All in aIl, it was miserable and I will not go back to Brickyard. If gave one star because our server was accommodating and she did apologize profusely.

Avoid — poor management & tasteless food. Substandard management loomed throughout our experience. The meal took an hour to be brought to the table, but only after having hunted down our waitress asking for our food. The manager was informed of our displeasure with our wait and then admitted to the lack of quality service. Other tables were equally perturbed by the same treatment. We were unfortunately convinced to stick it out. When the pastas came, they were limp and lacked any worth. The dinner rolls were cost-cuttingly cheap(possibly store bought) and not warm. The waitress also admitted to the poor service and promised to take the drinks off the bill. Without the manager showing to our table, he denied her already-made offer behind the scenes making for an extremely awkward moment when the waitress brought the final receipt. We were stunned by the lack of professionalism and guts behind the management of this establishment. There are plenty of other restaurants in town that should earn your dollars and time before the Brickyard Café.

I’m having a hard time writing a review about this place because our experience was good and bad. We got there at 6PM on a Saturday, with our 14 month old granddaughter and her parents. We didn’t have a reservation and because of that we were told the wait would be 30 minutes. The place was ½ full and others who arrived after us — also without reservations — were seated first. WTH!!! They finally seated us and took great pains to make sure our table was in a suitable area to accommodate the baby(good for the front of house on that score). Our waitress was very good, but after putting our order in, it took the kitchen nearly one hour to bring out: a calzone, lasagna, chicken parm and spaghetti. Really? One hour? Awful kitchen service. Dicey front-of-house management. When the food finally arrived, it was very good. The chicken parm boasted one piece of chicken — for $ 17.99. Prices were a little high — New York prices in BG, KY is not what I expected. We probably won’t be going back anytime soon.

A large Italian menu with everything from classics like lasagna to fresh seafood to specials that change daily. By far the best Italian in Bowling Green. Romantic and fun atmosphere with beautiful art on the walls, a variety of small, intimate dining rooms, and a large patio area for parties and outdoor dining.

Good restaurant. They have stayed in business close to ten years, so they know what they are doing. They serve Italian food. Dinner items are 12 – 20 range. Specials might cost a little more. As another reviewer pointed out, this place is hit-or-miss. For example, when you order a pepperoni pizza, one day you will get a pizza that is perfectly cooked, with large slices of high quality pepperoni(or perhaps spicy salami) on top. Next time you order it, you get a pizza with burnt crust and cheapo pepperoni(like those little circles you get in a grocery store — the ones that don’ t need to be refrigerated). So, consistency is an issue here, but usually the food is good. Their basic spaghetti is good, mediterranean salad is good and pizzas is typically good too(I usually get italian sausage)

This place is hit-or-miss for me. I’ve been there twice now. Once for lunch and once for dinner. The lunch salad I has was amazing and I will be going back for that again, but the dinner I had was just so-so. I had the trout, which was one of the specials and it was good, but not great for the price. I went with several friends for dinner as well and the food was all ok, but not spectacular. All of the menu items sound amazing and have the potential to be show-stopping by the descriptions, but the taste of most of them is just ok. Not as impactful and flavorful as you would expect. It kind of makes me think they are trying to do higher end recipes with lower end ingredients. For the price the ingredients should be mostly higher end. I’ll go back occasionally, but my second experience was by far not stellar.

This place seems small on the inside, but takes up a fair amount of real estate on the outside. The restaurant is divided into small, cozy, comfortable rooms. The food we ordered was really good. The service was not rushed, but in a venue like this, one should not expect to be rushed. The décor was nice. It was a comfortable place to eat. We would return again.

If you had asked me to rate this place a week ago, I would have given it 5 stars. This has been my favorite restaurant in Bowling Green for a long time. I always used to think of The Brickyard as serving fresh, creative and delicious food. Also, the ambiance is cute and romantic. This weekend, I went to a rehearsal dinner there. We were in a separate banquet room that seated about 30 – 40 people. There were three items that we could order: lasagna, blackened chicken or vegetable penne pasta. Although I ordered the lasagna, I tried a bite of all three dishes and was really disappointed. None of it was fresh and all of it was bland. The«blackened» chicken was tiny and only seasoned with salt and pepper. The lasagna had obviously been frozen and re-heated. It appears that The Brickyard slacks off a bit when serving large groups. I will add that the Bride told me that she moved the location of the dinner only days before it happened, so there was short notice.
