Chuck called to tell me what was wrong with my car and I told him I had an extended warranty, he was suppose to check into the warranty but he called me back within 5 minutes. He stated I had a limited warranty and it didn’t cover the water pump or thermostat and it would be over 1020.00 to fix it. I requested the information to call he warranty company myself and I was told they would have to call me back. About 30 – 45 min later I received a call that the water pump would be covered but we would have to pay for the thermostat. The total was 180 for the thermostat and 100 for the deductible. We approved the work and it was suppose to be ready that afternoon or early the next day. The next day I received a call that my car was ready but they started talking about a fuel pump so I’m not sure if they called the wrong person or possibly replaced the wrong part. The 3rd day my car was still not ready and we weren’t getting any answers. My husband called twice and got left on hold for 15 mins twice, he finally went up there to get some answers and that is when he found out the timing chain was now messed up. They couldn’t give us any idea in when the car would be ready. It took three days for us to even get a loaner car and that’s only because we kept on them about when it would be ready and why it was taking so long. When they called to let me know the car was ready 8 days later they told me there would be no charges, the timing chain was covered on the power train warranty, but when we got there we were told the charges were $ 288. We got no where talking to anyone while we were there. Needles to say this isn’t the first time Campbell Chevy has tried to screw is around. We will tell anyone we know to never use this dealer and we won’t be purchasing any new Chevys.
