I had service with Aaa out of Elizabethtown for years with no problems. Select security took over and customer service took a nose dive. Previously I had been on a month to month billing with Aaa on a take over 5 years prior. I was billed annually. After select security took over I started getting false alarms on my back door. I wanted to try to troubleshoot the issue with a rep but they told me I had to have a tech dispatched. When asking what that would cost they couldn’t answer and it took me a few calls to get a straight answer. I finally decided it would just be cheaper and easier to change companies and I called in late November to cancel. They couldn’t accept a verbal cancel and had to send a letter or email. The rep I spoke with didn’t know the email address to send the request to but I could call back later and speak to more competent rep. I finally got an email address and sent the request in early December. I made several phone calls trying to get someone to confirm they received the cancelation request and it never seemed like I could get a straight answer. Its April and I’m still waiting to get confirmation. They finally verbally confirmed it and even though I was paid up for 7 more months they told me they wouldn’t bill me anymore. They claim that their billings are contracts annually even though I never chose to do business with them and I will not get a refund. I hope they take my money and invest in training their employees. I give them 1 star because zero isn’t an option.
