Food was just average Chinese Food. I actually liked it better when Dave owned it. They cleaned it up a bit and changed the menu a bit also but the quality of the food went down a bit. It was fresh but simply not as good as before. The employees are a lot friendlier and with a minor makeover inside is a welcome change though. What can you expect when the prices are such a bargain.

If you haven’t been there lately you are missing out. Lots of changes and cleaning since the new owners took over. The restaurant has new tables, chairs and carpeting. The bar has been cleaned up and the atmosphere has changed. Lots of new menu items. Several Hi-Def tvs that usually have sports on them. Juke Box for music I have been going there for years and the recent changes are all for the good.

Despite patrons coming in close to closing, they continued to provide drinks and food. This is the first time I’ve seen an establishment do this without someone being mad. They close at 930 and patrons came in asking for drinks and food at 920. They did not refuse to serve and did it nicely with no attitude. Excellent!

You cannot no longer call this place a restaurant!!! This is what you call a dive bar with Mai Tai’s That will knock your ass to the ground once you get to the third one. The restaurant side is just used as an entrance way to the bar. The food only tastes decent if you had a Mai Tai. If you are not here to drink and only to eat. Make sure your shot record is up to date!!! Horrible food, waitstaff is rude, and the restrooms were probably cleaned last year. If you want better food and beverages go to The Other place pub!

If you like dank musty dated generic stereotypical«Asian restaurant» décor, then this is the place for you. I almost half expected the maître d’ to call me Earl and ask for pictures of Walter Brennan. The food: It’s, «okay» Not bad, but nothing spectacular if a bit on the greasy side. I can’t speak for noise level as we were the only people there not long after opening on a Sunday afternoon.

This place rocks. The Mai tais are amazing and the food is super yummy. Their crab rangoons are so creamy and delicious. Their sweet and sour chicken is amazing. The bartender Jackie is attentive quick and has a great attitude.(He’s also hilarious).

This place is the only place left that has a really different appetizer on the menu that is delicious! It is called CHEESETONGA Wow. They are thin crepes wrapped in a creamy Cheese sauce then dusted with Chinese 5 spice And deep fried. They come 8 to an order, and they are very filling ! This was a recipe that was taken from the Honolulu in Norwood that closed some years back i think in the early 2000’s or late 90’s The recipe originated i guess from some place called Trader Vic’s and it is a Polynesian dish. The rest of the food here is not bad either, and i also think it tastes the same as the original Honolulu

If I was a detective, I would come this seedy Chinese bar to crush Mai Tais to chase the case.

Stopped on the way home after work. Ordered fried rice and chicken fingers for take-out. I was told it would be about 25 minutes. Went into the lounge and ordered a Mai-tai. When I gave the bartender my debit card he said no — cash only. I insisted I had no cash and handed him the card. He reluctantly took it. When I got home I read the receipt and he charged me $ 2 more for the drink.

Great Mai Tais and the owner, Dave, is a great host. Not upscale at all, but a fun place wig character. Be careful though. The drinks are strong. Do not drive if you have more than one.

Low quality ingredients and poor service summarize my experience here. The chicken in our vegetable dish was a combination of fat and other sinewy chicken parts. We will never return. Visited the establishment in May 2014.

This place was created by satan! I’ve never been to a worse place in my entire life!!! It is safer to lick the mcdonalds bathroom floor then to eat or drink anything in this shithole! My family and I have a catchphrase for this restaurant… we say«GAGGINATTHEDRAGON!» One time I went there with friends and a moth flew over our food and died in the middle of the plate… it couldn’t take the horrible and possibly toxic smell wafting through the air!!! If you plan on going here you need to go already drunk in order to get through the disgusting EVERYTHING in here! You will find dollar bills on the walls reading things like F*** you! When i got home i made myself puke because i prefer the taste of puke in my mouth then their food but even after i did that the taste was still left in my mouth and I was forced to suffer with that disgusting, volatile, satanic taste left in my mouth! If you think the mai tais are good here you might be an alcoholic because they are made up of 100% pure alcohol(theres rubbing alcohol and other household cleaning products in there too)! If your thinking of going here you may need to check yourself into a mental hospital and say you are insane!!! DRAGON88WHYDONTYOUDOTHEWORLDANDTHEENVIRONMENT A FAVORANDJUSTCLOSE!!! If any person from the board of health is reading this YOUNEED to do a surprise inspection I think you’ll find more then enough reason to shut this place down!!! If you somehow overlook everything I’ve wrote and decide to go, make sure you wear a hazmat suit and carry bug repellent because you’ll be fighting off moths, bugs, rats, humans and other creatures, some never seen by the world before that lurk throughout the restaurant!!! If you do go, have fun going through dante’s seven layers of hell!!!

Okay lol. I do admit i read the reviews before coming here, and i didn’t think it would be that bad. People most definitely come here for the drinks. They are super strong and do the job.(I got a Mai Tai) We ordered beef fried rice, and wontons. The old anal asian dude was rushing us the whole time. We were there for my birthday, and my friends birthday. After food we asked for water and he gave us 3 cups… for 7 people, lmao. Anyways we pay the bill, WITHTIP he counts how much we give him in front of us and starts yelling«Thats not even 10% tip!».(It was). Everyone with me stares at him in disbelief. I laugh and start talking to them about the Unilocal reviews and how i read that this already happened to someone. And i just look at the guy. He shakes his head walks away, and doesn’t come to our table the rest of the night. I recommend you stand. Order drinks from the bar, and don’t eat the food. I also noticed the food menu said something along the lines of «we can prepare food without MSG» uhm, okay. why not do it always? That was my experience. and we just went to another bar to drink after all that. I couldn’t believe it happened to me. It was so fast and rushed. I do admit it was amusing to experience myself though :‘D

This place is a dive. In a good way. It’s a total sh-thole regarding décor. But you don’t come here for lessons on interior design. You come for the really strong, get-ass-hammered mai tais that the dude at the bar is mixing. If you drink more than one, please find a designated driver. I have no idea how good the food is.

My clue something was wrong should have been that the bar was busy but absolutely no one was in the restaurant. I ordered General Gau’s chicken, Lo mien, beef fried rice, dumplings and chicken and broccoli. We threw it all away out of fear of getting sick. The dumplings tasted rancid. The beef was completely pink. The Lo mien had strange flat noodles and a scary taste. The general Gau’s chicken had barley been reheated. I was literally afraid I was going to get sick from the couple of bites I did eat. Stat away

This place is a must visit for anyone who’s never been. Old School Polynesian. with mai tais served from a bucket. Was sitting at the bar once and the bartender /owner(i think) placed a bucket and 5 or so bottles on the bar and instructed the guy sitting next to me to pour all of them into the bucket. The PuPu platter and the Mai Tai. be careful. Call AAA and tow your car home.
