New Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant

Did a pick up order got pot stickers and hot and spicy beef with fried rice and a eggroll. Rice was a bit dry but after a few tweaks with sauce it was great. Will order again I’m sure.

The food is amazing, service is quick and straight to the point. The staff isn’t that friendly but it’s worth it

I still order from New Hong Kong but I think I may have to try somewhere new soon.
I recently ordered on-​line through Beyond Menu while we were still away from the house. I scheduled the delivery to happen an hour later to give us enough time to get back. But about 20 minutes after getting the confirmation email I got a phone call from the delivery guy asking why no one was answering the door; he had to leave our food on out front porch. We weren’t that far away so I wasn’t too upset, but why have the option to schedule for a later delivery time if it’s not going to be followed?

We ordered delivery to our home during lunch hours. The food was absolutely amazing! The portions were so large we had enough for lunch the next day. The lunch specials are very inexpensive. When they deliver, they give you all the different sauces and fortune cookies (at least it was all on our order). We received our food in about ½ hour and it was piping hot. I highly recommend!

I normally won’t give a fast food chinese more than 2 stars because I am Chinese and I have high expectations for Chinese unless they’ve got something unique. However I do understand the difference between authentic Chinese and just regular americanized Chinese. I usually only get the americanized Chinese food when I’m really lazy and all I need is an easy way to get food and rice, which is really really rare. I usually order when my co-​workers are ordering and when I didn’t bring my lunch. They deliver!
For an americanized chinese, the food here would only really gets 2-​star because… «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» I usually just get the singapore mai fun. And the chicken and corn soup is way too über sweet… more than it should. However I still get at times because it has corn (I love corn) and I’m cold at the office… all the other soups are not as appealing…
So why the 3-​star? THEY ARE FAST! I can see why all my co-​workers like ordering from them because we work in a «time = money» environment and with only a really short 30mins lunch break, we don’t have time to drive out to any place, devour food, and get back in time, where the manager keeps track and hounds us on the time… This place is able to deliver all the way across town (from Cortez/​59^th to Manatee Memorial Hospital) in 15 – 20 mins after placing the order (that includes cooking food and delivering). I’m very very impressed. And they do this like over 10x a day for the people in my company. I happen to meet the driver one day and found out he was a friend of my mother. He told me that they hired him especially to deliver to the orders that were coming from my company. And so… 3 stars!
