These guys know their stuff. Some are better than others at using that info to make you feel a little inadequate. Prices are on the high side compared to city stores. These guys love to ride so in my experience if you bring your bike in for service they fix it right and quickly. They want you back out there ASAP because I think they assume you love to ride too.

Great, classic bike shop. You usually only see these in bigger/college towns. Grown up with the community and the bike industry. Great variety of bikes and accessories, for big and small, young and old. Good price on my old bike tuneup/brake repair. Didn’t sell me what I didn’t need. Didn’t mind us roaming downstairs and up, looking at many new bikes on the wooden floors, hanging on walls and ceilings. This will be my bike shop. Kt g.

Knowledgeable dudes. But one’s brooding, one’s friendly-ish, and one is in-between(the dad of the two brothers). If you’re okay with fellows that would rather bypass the chit-chat and just help you or go back to doing what they were working on, this is the place for you. Like another reviewer, I’d offer that a quick«Hi. Can I help you?» goes a long way. After that you can be the quiet type and it’s fine. Prices aren’t great, but now that Amazon and Walmart have floored the cost of things, no small places like this will be able to compete. Buy here if you want to have local options, buy via Amazon or Walmart if you’re okay losing that local option. I’m somewhere in the middle between those two options and try to buy local, until the difference goes over like $ 20… Few years ago they were sitting on more than one Trek 7.3 bikes that were Three years old. And they wouldn’t come down more than 9%. So my budget just wouldn’t work and I had to buy via craigslist. … But you’ve got multiple new bikes that are ‘07s and it’s 2010 –and you’re not slashing the price on that thing? Oh well. I bet they ended up slashing it at some point… I’ll keep going back. They’re fine.

I am a fan because they are a small, local bike shop. There are not enough of them anymore. The very first time I walked in there was a large dog glad to greet us, the place is an older building that has a lot of character. I talked to the man at the counter and he was super helpful. I decided to call this place home for my bike needs. I did return to have my bikes serviced and was almost put off by the another person that I dealt with at the store. A lot less friendly and its weird but he made me feel small about my lack of riding ability. My wife told me to get over it and that he’s probably just competitive and intimidated by my large calves(who knew)… Anyway I’ll keep giving this place a chance, and probably buy a new road bike from them in the fall. So guys, if a guy who wants to get into riding road bikes comes in your store and wants to get fit for a road bike(and has huge calves)… be nice! Overall this place is really cool and I hope that I get to know these guys a little better and improve my ability with their help.
