Honestly, was really disappointed. The wash was uncomfortable and harsh then the blow dry was badly done with a brush rather finger blow dried until pretty dry then used a flat iron to scorch my hair strait and put a small little«wave/curl» in my ends with the Same straightener. I had asked for lots of volume and a wave at the end. I could have done better by myself at home

The threading here is not worth your time or money. The person who does them I swear must have no experience and this could be her first job. I got a groupon a few months ago and the woman who worked there got up and quit. They took months to find a replacement who is an amateur. I go there for threading and she plucks more than threads. Ripping up the groupon and won’t go back there again.

It’s straight up. If you want someone to talk too about what you want done don’t bother they don’t help. It’s also located inside a mall. It is what you pay for. She burned my scalp with the hair dryer, I’ll get over it.

I have to get my eyebrows threaded and the girl here does an AMAZING job but the reason I give this place 2 stars is because it seems that almost every day the girl who does the threading«calls out» and the one time I was pressed for time one of the stylist said she could wax my eyebrows and she didn’t shape them at all and ended up taking off half of my skin. The owners really need to hold their employees accountable. I have ended up going to the threading spa in the mall if the threader is not there. I would stop going there all together is she didn’t do a great job. I do recommend the threading but call first to make sure someone is there because more likely they are not.

So it’s in the mall. If you don’t know that, it can be tough to find. I had a groupon for a half-off eyebrow threading, making the price $ 6 instead of their usual $ 12. They take walk-ins so I walked in yesterday afternoon. My threader’s name is Asia. This was my first threading, so I have no other experiences to compare it to, but she was friendly and did a good job. I would probably not go again right away since I live 45 minutes from Quincy — but next time I’m in the area, I will. I would recommend it to others.

I have been to Drybar in chestnut hill several times and was hoping styleout bar in Braintree would be a closer option. First off, all the prices on the website are incorrect. Apparently they are for their other location. Misleading. I showed up for my appt on time and was taken 20 minutes late. When I scheduled my appt, I asked for a blowout with curls. I guess i should have asked how long it was going to take because I had plans that night. The girl at the front desk was beyond rude. I felt like I bothering her when I walked in. When I finally sat down, the stylist Tina who was nice told me my hair would take 1.5−2 hours just to blowout!!! And it would be $ 40 + $ 20! Drybar gives me a blowout and curls in a little over 45 minutes for $ 40 flat. And it’s always amazing. Since I was so pressed for time, I decided to just have curls put in my hair. Tina blew it out a little(about 30 minutes!) and then another 30 or 40 minutes for the curls(with a curling iron). I wish I was kidding when I say that the curls had fallen by the time I got to my car in the parking lot. Total waste of time and money!!! Never again. Drybar blows this place out of the water.

The first time I went to Styleout, the stylist fixed a bad haircut I got from a Newbury Street«Best of Boston» salon. It was exactly what I wanted and totally amazing. I went last week for a cut and it was like night and day. I went in with a shoulder length voluminous flip and left with a «I don’t know what this is» bob. I asked for a couple of inches to be cut off the bottom and that’s what I got but the rest of the cut didn’t make sense. I went back last night to have it fixed and because of the first cut, the second stylist had to take a ton off the top to create layers and even out the front and back(which were completely uneven and didn’t blend together at all) Now it’s short. It’s so short that I want to cry. My beautiful style has somehow become a short pageboy that’s not me at all. I completely understand that the second stylist had to do what she did to fix the first cut but I just styled it on my own and I’m not kidding when I say I want to cry. I don’t want to leave the house. The only saving grace is that hair grows out. At the rate my hair grows out, it’ll probably be decent by the fall but I’ll just have to do what I can until then. I feel horrible for the second stylist in this review because she had to chop of a ton of hair to fix the first cut but that doesn’t make me look or feel any better.

Ask for Tina if you have curly, thick hair(or even if you don’t). Gave me a great style which is able to be worn curly or straight. Took her time and was meticulous. My hair looked great for my daughter’s dance recital and Mother’s Day. Thanks Tina!

I was really excited to try out this place, I have been an avid drybar client and love the idea of blowout bars. First let me say that this has nothing to do with customer service– my stylist was very nice and attentive– all of the employees were friendly and welcoming. My stylist spent quite a bit of time on my hair, which I appreciate, however I was there for at least an hour and a half and my hair was less than satisfactory. The stylist used too many products, and tried to be fancy with making my curls, but the curl did not hold and the sectioning caused volume in areas that shouldn’t have been voluminous with gaps in my hair. Also, I couldn’t fix with my hands bc of all the product in it. If you do decide to go here, I suggest you tell them ahead of time to not use a lot of product, save the fancy stuff for someone else, and use a curling iron for curls. I was really disappointed and do not see myself going back.
