Really great food and even better prices. Sat dinner was busy and had to wait for a table but during the week its easy to walk in.

Masala art is by far the best Indian in the area. I’ve been eating there for the past three years and I’ve never had any problems.

I got the buffet and some takeout for my wife. The tikka masala was on point but the chana sagg wasn’t as good as others I have had.

Went for lunch buffet and I have to say this was the worst indian food I have ever eaten. The chicken tasted like it was leftover from the day before. There was only chicken and these gross meatballs as meat. No variety!!!

We went to Masala Art based solely on the recommendations of Unilocal users. We were not disappointed. Good food, good service, good experience… and all at a reasonable price. We will certainly go back. Way to go Unilocal!!!

Part of my coworkers regular lunch rotation. I always love coming here. We always get the buffet. Since i’m not Indian, I cant remember the names of all of the dishes but the Tandoori Chicken and the lamb kofka? are delicious. People mention the Naan, they are right, In fact I liked everything I’ve tried there. The spice levels on the buffet are not very hot but very flavorful. The staff and owners are friendly and welcoming.

They do an awesome samosa chaat and the buffet was surprisingly very good — warm food well made and excellent service. The mango lassi is awesome and the kheer(rice pudding) is light and very flavorful. Excellent service as well.

You know this place is good when your Indian and both you and your family love this place. I’ve gone here for dinner and have had their food catered for events at my home and have had nothing but good experiences every time. The chicken tikka masala is the best!

Ok I am not experts on Indian food but this is the most satisfying indian dinner buffet I ever had. Most of buffet I tried were having small selection due to too spicy/too authentic so not easy to eat or anlctualy not much variaty of food. Masala Art has good number of different dishes for dinner buffet and all the foods were tasty and edible. It’s like more adjusted for American tastes. They gave me this wonderful Naan bread and it was the best I ever had. They only have the dinner buffet on Wednesday. I can’t wait to try al la carte manu next time.

This place is better than most indian restaurants. Very fresh and fair pricing with decent sized portions. The chicken curry has a black peppery taste to it while the chicken vindaloo is more of a tomato base. Both are worth ordering. The tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala were more on the mild side, still good though. I don’t order lamb in indian restaurants, but the lamb okra(bhindi gosht) is pretty good. If you’re within a 15 minute drive, I highly recommend this place.

Masala Art is freaking amazing. I probably go once a week. The food is excellent. I usually split the chicken mahkni, vegetable beiryani, and the tandoori chicken with whoever I’m with and it’s more than enough. The service is excellent as well. Everyone I’ve interacted with here has been so kind and professional. Best part is BYOW(bring your own wine) and no corkage fee. You can come here for a really fantastic meal without breaking the bank(just remember to tip well). They have a buffet during certain hours that I’ve never been to, but I assume it’s on par with everything else they do right. The ambiance is quiet and cozy and I’ve never waited to be seated. Don’t let the outside appearance fool you, this place is a diamond in the rough, as most excellent hole in the wall eateries are.

Great food, nice option at lunch for a buffet which is great for this Indian food novice! Service can be a little distracted, but always nice.

I went here for dinner recently upon my girlfriend’s recommendation and it was a wonderful experience all around! Exceptional service, friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices, and some of the best Indian food I have had anywhere. For starters, we ordered meat samosas, which were incredible: perfectly crisped on the outside, yet soft and warm on the inside. Far too often samosas are dry and taste like they have been sitting at the bottom of a freezer for months and reheated in a microwave. Definitely not the case here, you could tell they were cooked to order! Tamarind sauce was thick and sweet and paired well with the savory flavors of the ground lamb. I will order again, though I would like to sample some of their other soups and appetizer offerings, as well. For entrees, my girlfriend ordered the Chicken Tandoori Tikka and I ordered the Chicken Saagwala. To accompany the main dishes, we ordered the Kulcha stuffed with onions and cauliflower. All were cooked to perfection. My Chicken Saagwala was just the right parts spicy and creamy. You tasted the spice upon first bite, but didn’t feel a burn afterwards because of the cream. I’m not normally a fan of Chicken Tikka, but Masala Art’s version impressed me nonetheless. Chicken was succulent and the onions sweet and crispy. I was likewise impressed as it came with a «side» of curried chickpeas, which was actually the size of a normal order of curry. All for $ 11 too: talk about good value for your money! Kulcha was fluffy and chewy and the stuffing added a gritty texture which was to my liking. Service was exemplary all around. The wait staff were inviting and courteous and you could tell they took pride in their restaurant. This pride really shined through in every interaction we had with them. For instance, when the host handed me the menu, he noticed a small grease stain on the cover. Instead of just handing me the menu and hurrying off to his other duties, he took the time to wipe off the smudge with a napkin. Even though I probably wouldn’t have even noticed the grease stain, this was a nice touch regardless. All things considered, Masala Art offers authentic Indian food in a friendly atmosphere, at a very reasonable price. I will certainly be returning and look forward to trying their Wednesday night buffet so I can sample more of their offerings.

This was my first time having Indian cuisine and boy did I pick the right place to go! This restaurant is incredible! The wonder starts right at the door. You open the front door of a typical strip mall eatery but are immediately transported to a different place. The little foyer, with its carpeting and paneled glass door leading into the actual dining room, is a sign of wonderful things to come. Once inside the dining room you find a polished, proper restaurant with soft lighting and linen tablecloths. The hostess was warm and welcoming – pulling out both our chairs while inviting us to please sit down. She willingly made suggestions about ordering but we opted for our own path. The vegetable appetizer sampler for two is flavorful and filling. We had to leave some to take home just so we could have room in our stomachs for the entrées. We ordered the chicken tiki masala and the shrimp curry. Each were expertly prepared to our mild heat request but yet so flavorful and perfectly balanced. Between the rice and the wonderful garlic naan, we could have easily filled up on the sauces alone. The chicken was tender and moist and the shrimp was perfect. With our meal we both ordered the mango lassi to drink. This is a wonderful concoction of yogurt and mango topped with whipped cream. It’s the Indian version of a milkshake and it’s very yummy and filling. We couldn’t finish our main course and we felt that the lassi was so lush that we never made it to dessert. Oh well I guess that just means I’ll have to go back again – as soon as possible! I can’t speak about their lunch buffet, but dinner is a definite must go.

Love this place! This place never fails us — and we have been here several times. Classic North Indian fare, and almost everything cooked and prepared with care and attention. Plus they will dial the spice level. Obviously, very veg friendly. Here are some of our favorites from a recent high school graduation celebration family dinner: (1) Chilly paneer — homemade cheese cubes cooked with scallions and/or onions and green peppers. Uses red chili sauce as a base. No grading on curve here — it’s an A– (2) Yellow daal(lentils) — classic recipe, always perfectly executed. Can’t even imagine a meal without this. Top of the class with A+. (3) Ghobi Aloo(cauliflower+potato) sautéed in a curry sauce — quite aromatic. Consistently good. A solid A. (4) Mango lassi(yogurt drink with real mangoes). Can’t stop at one(actually you can if you count calories). Makes the cut with an A– (5) Baigan Bhartha — mashed eggplant roasted and smoked. Yummy but the smoky taste not always evident. Commendable performance and a grade of B– (6) The bread should not dominate the taste of entrees. Go for plain Rotis with no butter. Tandoori Rotis here are above average and fully deserving of a B+ (7) If eat Naan(flat bread) you must, go for the garlic naan. Cooked to perfection — A– The place is in a small strip mall — a bit dark but well decorated. Friendly wait staff will certainly brighten the experience tho. Soft Indian vocal music usually in the background; no big screen flat tv with gyrating Bollywood hips here — it’s classy enough to have your anniversary dinner. Tips: (1) Watch out for some Unilocal deals when you checkin — only valid for the lunch buffet tho. (2) They do have dinner buffet on Wednesdays — if you are into sampling. However, you will have to live with the buffet spice level. Trying their buffet is next on our list.

I’ve been here twice and the food is very good. However I think the workers must think we are the biggest pigs — we had to be moved to a bigger table to accommodate all the food hubby and I ordered. Oops. I can’t NOT order chicken tikka masala but I always try to get something new vegetarian to try as well. Plus Indian is great leftover. I’m justifying my piggy habits — don’t judge me. Friendly enough staff. Nice décor. Prices aren’t bad. BYOB. I’ll be back with hubby and our piggy ordering. Don’t you worry!

I agree with the average four star rating. My wife and I stopped by today for lunch — ordering from the full menu rather than having the buffet. We both agreed that Masala is the best Indian restaurant which we have tried in a long time. I have been to maybe twelve Indian places in the past five years — which have ranged from bad to just forgettable. This is a keeper. The shopping center is unimpressive and the sign out front isn’t all that fancy, but they do a good job inside. In a nod to a fine dining experience, they use white linen tablecloths, but with paper place mats. Paper napkins are twisted and arranged nicely inside water glasses. Background music is Indian — not too loud. Wall décor is minimal. Service today was prompt and professional. We started with the«Masala Art» appetizer combo — good but nothing special. Naan was nice enough. Both entrees were excellent. I went with the Shrimp Tandoori — eight large shrimp — properly cooked and nicely seasoned — served with rice and dal. My wife had the Chicken Patiala Shahi — white meat chicken in a gravy of yogurt, onions, tomato and mild spices. We will go back to try more of the extensive menu. The buffet lunch is very popular — the restaurant was 80%- 90% full. Probably would be wise to make a reservation for dinner. One pix of the interior of the place makes it seem very dark but in reality the place has plenty of light. The pix is just under-exposed.
