Brandon Army Navy Military Surplus

Bleh, another lackluster military surplus store. Nothing exciting here, and parts of the store it’s tough to see the merchandise due to the poor lighting. The only item of note is a display case in the middle of the store that has a few unique items locked in it, but it’s not enough to prompt me to return. I’ve now been to both of the big military surplus stores in the Tampa area and was seriously unimpressed with both, is there anywhere in the area that is worth fighting the horrible traffic to check out?!? I used to be a fan of this place, a long time ago. It mostly has not changed. Some of the staff are wonderful and helpful, some are tedious layabouts that view you, the customer, as a conversation interrupter. They still have a lot of cool stuff and their prices range from good to priced a bit too far above good. Every once in a while there is a great «surplus“deal but those seem less common. I still like this store and, I think, it’s the only one like it in the area.

Pound another nail in the coffin of customer service. It’s nearly time here in America to bury it! My son and I, along with his girlfriend drove down after work Wednesday knowing this business closes at six. We arrived at store at 5:51. (Yes, I checked). The two «guys» working (maybe owners, don’t know) were letting two customers out. As my son and his girlfriend tried to get in, one of the «gentlemen» stopped them and started some sort of interrogation process with them. It was obvious they were ready to nock off a little early. I had gotten out of my vehicle and walked to the door and told him we had driven from North Tampa but he said «we’re closing». He looked at his «partner» and there was an awkward silence when I finally said «we will take our business elsewhere».
I know that your thinking «so what, it’s just a tiny army navy store in Brandon». But I would remind you it is another example of the decline of our great nation. Once a nation of hard workers that took pride in what they were doing, Slowly being infested by laggards coming in late and leaving early to get home and watch reruns of Big Bang Theory. As you might surmise, I won’t be returning.

I’ve visited here a few times and the service has been great from the employees when I can not find my size mixed in with the millions of other sizes! I wear tactical pants a long with my Glock Shooting Sports long sleeve shirt and the tactical pants they sale fit nicely and comfortable I own a couple of these pants I love them. They have a lot of different Military items a long with patches, shirts of all kinds, pants, belts and many items you may need for the service field your in.
