This place is full of a bunch of liars! I tanned at one location, make that-​I tried to tan, but the spray tan machine was out of product… 30 minutes wasted. Then I was told to drive about 30 minutes away to another location. I did, but when I got to the other location, I was told I couldn’t tan… I have never known a tanning salon to turn down business, especially from GROUPON. Don’t buy the groupon for this one, its a scam. Once they saw I had a groupon (which was a gift), they decided i wasn’t worth their time. NEVER GOING BACK

Have been tanning for many years and cannot get a tan with these beds like others. Any other salon I have EVER used, I get color after each tan; not here.
Based on the many tanning beds and salons I’ve used in the past, this place seems to boast these high powered beds for less minutes but all they are doing is giving you an ordinary tanning bed with far less minutes in the beds.
First bed I used had bulbs out and they knew that but still sent me in. She also said, «Yeah, we really need to change our bulbs».
Will not let you tan unless it is 24 hours to the minute between each tan. Which throws my schedule completely off. went in tonight to tan and since I tanned at 8:30 last night, I couldn’t tan at 7 when I went in.
I called 5 other salons, 3 being local and 2 being salons I’ve used within the last handful of months here in Florida and they ALL said there is leeway and does not have to be to the exact minute.
Condescending minimum wage bitch behind the counter.
Parking is a hassle.
Trust me, I’ve used a lot of salons all over Florida and this is by far the worst… take your money and go elsewhere…

One thing I HATE more than anything is signing up for a service but not getting all the details up front. I signed up for a month membership here yesterday at 5:11 PM. I go in today to tan around 2:30 and was told I can’t tan again until 5:11 PM tonight since I tanned yesterday at 5:11 PM and there is a 24 hour tan rule. I am not against rules and I understand why they’re in place. But when I signed up yesterday I received no information on the policies of what I was signing up for. I was never told of a 24 hour tan rule. If I would have known that I would have waited 1 day and signed up the next day so I could tan at a time that was more convenient for me. Now I am stuck tanning every day after 5:11 PM unless I skip a day that I am PAYING FOR to get on a schedule that works for me. If there are going to be extra rule and policies that apply to a membership there you need to express these when people are signing up. Or, if your staff can’t remember to do that then why don’t you hand out a form regarding your rules and policies to people when they sign up? I only had to sign a form with my credit card info– that’s the only thing you cared about when I signed up is making sure you get my money. Having rules in place are fine I get it but TELL PEOPLE what the rules are so they can be knowledgeable. I am not in your industry– you can’t expect your clients to know every rule when it comes to tanning. That’s why we go to reputable places so we can be made aware of such things. This is so irritating. When I expressed my irritation at the location all the girl could do was explain why the policy is in place and I GET IT but I just didn’t know about it or I would have waited a day to sign up. I don’t want to skip a day tanning as I am trying to get tan for an upcoming wedding. I wish I would have signed up elsewhere– where they would have gone over the rules/​policies of my membership.
I edited this review and added two more stars because the girl who works day shift Monday-​Friday is very knowledgeable and helpful. I don’t recommend signing up on a Sunday. Just make sure you ask a lot of questions before signing up and ask for copies of any paperwork you sign. This place is conveniently located and clean with nice beds.

Don’t waste your money ladies the spray tan isn’t even dark and worst off the beds facial bulbs don’t work. Overly priced for poor quality.

Love this tanning salon… have been going to this location for about 4 ½ years, even when I lived in Lakeland I drove all the here because there beds are so nice. Love the new owners!

Very nice and clean beds but their customer service is not phenomenal. I personally had a bad experience when I was in a level 5 and I can overhear the girls talking about what they did the night before, thank goodness when the bed turned on the fans muffled their loudness. Another time, I came in to tan a little later than usual and I got a dirty look cause it was 9:55 when I left (ladies I know it’s closing time but for that now you have 3 stars from me on Unilocal). When I signed up originally I met with Salena who is very serious and not welcoming at all but I did sign up cause I liked the salon, it was close to home and other staff members where nice to me, there’s a little blond young lady there who is SWEET and I would recommend her, you can’t miss her big blue eyes. Brunette with long curly hair is another Salena.
Manager lady, you can stay forever too! Hope this helps. To SouthBeach Tanning Staff… A sweet friendly smile/​hello/​greeting will go miles in this world, try it… You might be surprised at the response you get :)
FYI… No referral program, no military discounts, and online it says «1 free week for new members», good luck with getting that credit to your account OR ever getting a free week.

I recently went here because my hubbie bought me a Groupon for some spray tans. I’ve been a member of other salons and I must say, they better up their anty, because South Beach Tanning Company is putting them to shame!
Their store is clean, offers a variety of tanning lotions, tanning packages, and super friendly staff.
The girl working took the time to explain their membership, tanning packages, bed options, etc. She was so friendly and then took me into the spray tan area since I wasn’t familiar w/​the booth they had.
This spray tan booth came w/​two options (one for a more natural look), free towels, free deodorant, and free sanitizer for your hands afterward so you didn’t have Oompa Loompa hands.
I think the price is a little high ($ 120 for 6 spray tan sessions), but you know that saying, «You get what you pay for»? You’ll definitely get the service/​friendliness/​quality booths you’re paying for here.

South Beach is hands down the best tanning salon! The staff, especially Hillary, is friendly, knowledgeable on all products and what one is looking for on one’s tanning results. Beds are immaculate and bulbs are always up to date. Lots of packages to choose from, you will be happy with your tan!!!

Back for a second time. There was no wait and there are many different choice of beds to choose from. Staff again friendly and helpful. I would definitly recommend this business !
