Nice Vermont store but unfortunately the ice cream is not home made, and the portions are minuscule. Not exactly an example of the classic New England creamery experience.

I have to just be honest with everyone about this ice cream shop. It’s hands down the one of the best ice creams that I have ever had. They hand craft it right here at the shop. The flavors are always mind blowing! Creamy and just amazing. The 2 – 3 times we have gone here they have had many new flavors added. It just doesn’t get any better than this place. On top of the ice cream they also offer Italian soda’s, old fashion candies and just some cool stuff to look at! The soda’s are highly recommended. Staff here is friendly, quick and are always ready to help you with your order. They even offer you taste test as well! So whenever we are in Brandon we stop here no matter the time of day or morning. I love my ice cream. So trust me when I say they are one of the best in Vermont. I just wish I lived closer than I do! This really is a true gem of Vermont. Enough said! get to licking your cone! Because this is what an ice cream should be!

I used to love in Vermont and love this place. When ever I was traveling through brandon with some extra time on my hands, we would stop in here for ice cream and then eat it in the park right across the street. The décor is cool, reminds me of a old fashioned candy shop and the service is always great.

No pandas were used in the making of Panda Paws. Finding that out was perhaps the only drawback to this offbeat quirky little store. I mean, if I ordered an ice cream called Panda Paws, it’s *not* that unexpected to have little panda paws in my ice cream. Instead, I had to make do with chocolate-covered caramels in the shape of panda paws. Adorable, but not really panda paws. We found this store in the most accidental of ways. I was randomly driving on Rt 7 because the GPS told me to do so(it gets very angry with me when I don’t obey), when I suddenly saw a sign for homemade ice cream. I made a sharp right turn in order to not miss the store and everyone in my car had a heart attack because they thought I swerved in order to miss a small child. Then I told them that we had to make an emergency ice cream stop. There were some looks. It’s a delightful ¾ antique and ¼ ice cream store. It’s crammed full of all kinds of novelty items(including old timey candy like horehound!) and wonderful little treasures. I ooed and ahhed over their vintage jewelry. Many beautiful little choices and really cheap too. I bought a lovely metallic flower ring with a blue stone for $ 6. It would have easily been tripled that price in Manhattan. They have other wonderful treasures(old medicine bottles, hog bristle hairbrushes, china and silverware). The owner is really friendly and he lets you eat his ice cream in the antique portion of the store. Antiques and ice cream, what a combo!

This is another favorite destination when I visit Vermont. I like the décor, but I absolutely love the maple-walnut ice cream. The service is always great too.

Stopped in here while driving down Rt 7 from Burlington to Rutland on a beautiful afternoon. I stopped to check out the very quaint Brandon center and ended up in here. The antique store section had all sorts of cute goodies. I’m not really an antiques person so I’m not sure how the quality or pricing was. I was there for the ice cream/candy counter in the front. The girl working behind the counter was super friendly and went over every flavor and menu option in crazy detail. After I decided to just go with a chocolate frappé which was very good, she then starting talking up all the candy selections. So good ice cream and super friendly staff made this a worthwhile stop.

Absolutely delightful. Just for fun I took a day trip through Vermont with the fam visiting various antique stores and generally enjoying the local flavour. We happened to pass through Brandon on the way from Middlebury and this lil’ gem caught my father’s eye. Eventually I followed way and wandered in. In no less than 2 minutes was I already completely and utterly lost. Inside Scoop has everything from ridiculous racks of glamorous, antique jewelry, shelves full of retro housewares, linens, collectibles, musical items and records to 3472873481-gazillion different flavours of Vermont made ice creams. The prices were completely reasonable and with so many interesting, unique items, anyone could easily spend hours browsing. Add Wi-Fi, penny candies, a gorgeous small town setting and friendly, talkative owners and you seriously have a must stop for any traveler. If anything it was truly unfortunate I was on severely limited time. With all the lovely goods, fifteen minutes was far too short for a proper walk through or ice cream break. Hopefully this May I’ll have a chance to shop while I’m in the area for my brother’s graduation.
