Best Western Plus Landing View Inn & Suites

This is an older motel but seemed to be kept up pretty well. I was thinking it was right on the landing but is up on the hill above the landing. (Short walk down plus a trolley if you need it) Compared to the hiltons hotel on the landing (150 –200 a night) this motel is worth while. We had all the amenities we needed while staying the 4 nights with no problems. The road facing rooms can be loud at night due to traffic but keeping the air on helped to keep noise out. Bed was comfortable and oversized fridge was nice. We enjoyed the deck and morning breakfast the hot tub is missing most of the jet and over bromined. I would stay here again.

The hotel was good for the price. We enjoyed the décor, though the paint is not bright/​light like the pictures. However the darker accent wall adds some ambience. I enjoyed the antique wood sink pedestal and Gold sink as well as the antique bronze towel bars, etc.
I too felt the hotel could do a better job vacuuming though I did not see a bug anywhere.
I do not recommend this hotel for those who have mobility challenges; the sidewalks are uneven and there don’t seem to be any flat parking spaces… everything is on some sort of an incline.
The hotel is close to the waterfront landing, but if you want to be closer to the shows, head about a mile on Main Street in the other direction.

Our room was a like a dark dungeon from the dark paint on the walls and awful stained carpets. There was poor lighting in the rooms that sadly could not hide this fact. OR the fact that housekeeping missed the dead bugs on the floor! The AC caused the room to have so much moister that we felt damp the whole time from the humidity. At first we thought it was just our room but could feel it as we walked down other entrance ways. The «so called upgrade» of a faux marble sink looked like a block or petrified chocolate.
The worse was the house-​keeping. When we laid down we could see the dust all over the lights (which had missing knobs to work) and it was caked on. Della was the person on the Swan on the bed. The towel trick hanging does nothing for me if I am afraid to use the toilet that had mold down the insides. We had stains on the wash-​clothes.
The housekeeping came in but the same bugs were on the floor AND gob of stuff on the bathroom wall. Not to mention, they didn’t vacuum the floor. My husband was there for a race… so I tried to not stress him. He was not trying to stress me with the state of the room. But… when I had a bug crawling on me in the bed! I had had enough!
The smokers (just so you know they are everywhere even the workers and guests) you have to walk through sucking that air and the bugs! This place is so bottom of the barrel. That the location isn’t even worth it. They need to do a rehaul of this place. Even the parking is horrible. Would NEVER stay here, if we ever came back to this city. Even typing this review I am itching, thinking about my stay.
