Rude like they think they are the only donut shop around here. The glaze on their donuts is obviously cheap and hard like they do the bare minimum to serve donuts to the people that are their clientele. Bought a ham and cheese croissant and he didn’t ask if i wanted it heated or not(because why should he care) and when i asked him to heat it up he took it from me with this sour look on his face. I’d rather eat dirt than give these ungrateful people my money.

Been getting donuts from here for over 10 years. Should be a historical landamark. Jokes aside Sy donuts are SPECIAL. Idk how they do it but they do and they’ve been doing it for a looong time. Service has always been GREAT, too bad some people have to have a misconstrued reality when it comes to how they perceive they were treated.

Worst customer service I have ever received at a food establishment. I went in to buy two donuts one for me and my daughter. When I went to pay the owner didn’t say a word just slapped his register showing me a sign that said minimum charge for debit transaction. No problem I grabbed a drink and it still didn’t add up to the amount they required so I told him I didn’t have any cash on me and he just shrugged his shoulders as if he didn’t care to do anything. I’m sorry but any place that requires you to just buy stuff to get a minimum charge is ridiculous! He was rude and not friendly whatsoever! I told him forget it we will just go somewhere else. No matter what I wasn’t rude and for them to be disrespectful when I am giving them business isn’t a place I will ever go again. They are donuts for heavens sake

Been coming here for 26 years and it’s the best place to get donuts! Sy is the man! Also try the ham and cheese croissants. You won’t be disappointed

This donut shop is one of the worse donut shops I have ever been to. I can only assume that the people in the front«running» the store are the owners, and have no desire to keep their customer base. I saw the male owner argue with a customer about what the call a certain doughnut chocolate bar vs chocolate Long John. When it was my time to order the female owner insisted that I asked for a half dozen and when I told her I had asked for a full dozen she became upset and began to give me attitude. When it came time to pay the owners charged me more than what was the price of the full dozen saying that some doughnuts are not eligible to be part of the dozen. I told them they should put that on the board or tell people when they order those types of doughnuts and not wait until ringing people up to charge them more, to which the male said in a condescending tone«next time you will know». I know that it probably will not take much out of their bottom line in the long run but I will never go back there again. There goes $ 9.00 a month, so $ 108 a year and over my live the next 60 years $ 6,480. They could have had a late model used sedan in 2075 had they just taken care of their customers hahah

Best donuts in Brea! They have a great selection of donuts, Cronuts and croissants are to die for so fresh and fluffy. The owners always look pretty tired but they are so nice to me and my family. I’ve been coming here for 10 years. Always great!

I’ve been here a few times at odd hours, but the donuts are always fresh and decadent. The lady behind the register has always been kind, despite what others reviewers have said. Selection is pretty good. I always get spinkled donuts, seeing as I’m forever a kid as heart. Bear claws are huge and delicious, and of course more expensive. Prices are fair. Overall, I really recommend it.

Wow been here a few times and every time I feel really a bad vibe in there. I don’t even like to sit in there after I get my donut/coffee. so after today decided I will not be returning for business. and not only that, she demands for exact change… You mean you don’t have change in your register? And I have to spend at least $ 5 to use a debit/credit card? I know some places get charged for card use but this place is a joke. She really needs to get her customer service skills in check!

Best-tasting donuts in Brea. Small shop with very friendly owner/employees. Perfect place to get donuts for the family on a Sunday morning.

Customer service was sucky– when we walked in they were reading, it took them a minute to get up and seemed annoyed that we came in. The doughnuts themselves weren’t that great either, they tasted old, and there wasn’t a great selection it was hard for us to choose a dozen.

This place is doughnut heaven. To a week-long summer seminar I brought 3 dozen assorted doughnuts daily. The treats disappeared quickly, and many folks commented that these were the best, freshest doughnuts they’d ever tasted. I gained 2 pounds that week. Sigh. Sy.

Did you know there are 59 calories in 1 donut? Total fat grams: 3.2g giving you 28 calories out of 59 from fat alone. That equals 47.45% FAT which equals yummy yummy in your tummy! This place has a great family owned vibe, which is why I support it. I definitely agree that they have the best donuts in Brea!

Doughnuts tasted fresh and they were very quick and friendly with the service. My only disappointment was the«assorted» boxes they gave me weren’t very assorted. I got 75% Glazed. So I just need to be a bit more specific next time. All in all a good experience though… AND they take credit card which is hard to find in the doughnut shop world.

The doughnuts were a hit at work, and the service in the morning was quick. In the two minutes I was there, many obvious«regulars» came and went. It is a nice little neighborhood shop with the seemingly-mandatory photos of doughnuts on its walls.

Best donuts in Brea by far. I’ve done the legwork and tried donuts from all the local places but nothing beats the homemade taste of Sy’s. You can tell they are freshly made with each bite. Don’t pass this place up. Next door to Domino’s and it’s the longest lasting shop in that little strip mall!
