Oh Andy, your name is so misleading. Your only sometimes handy. I used to frequent you so much more when I smoked! So lets see if your not Handy then what are you? How about adequate Andy or I sometimes have what you came in for Andy? Its not terrible, but its about par with a standard mini-mart. One issue I have with the place is the stock rotation. They know stuff is expired and they say they’ll get rid of it but I’ve seen them keep it on the shelves. Lastly is the housewares section. They have some really weird stuff that hasn’t sold a single item in years. No hair ties but about 40 do rags. No charcoal or lighter fluid, but framed picture of Bob Marley in prismatic colors? Check! So if your in need Adequate Andy might have your back.

This is a quick walk from my apartment. It really is handy, but $ 11 for a small bottle of NyQuil? Give me a break. It’s a little odd that there is a sign on the door that states that no more than three kids allowed in store at one time. So for those folks with litters of children, this isn’t your place to go.

Nice neighborhood market for when you forgot to pick up the milk or bread at the grocery store and don’t want to go all the way back. Also handy for snacks and beer and other good stuff. It’s located in a plaza that has 2 resturants, a bar, a pizza joint, a coffee stand, a asian market, place to do you hair and nails and a couple of other businesses im not sure of… Sorry went off track there, more about the store. It has a ATM, some items like caps, glasses, smoking stuff and probably a few more things that I haven’t noticed. Owners and staff have all been friendly and courteous each time I have been there. So if you’re in the area stop on in.

Handy Andy’s is my least favorite convenience store. They have a tiny selection of merchandise, even by convenience store standards, and an impressive number of sketchy customers. I never go there alone and only stop in if I’m desperate for a quick item. Their location is convenient, but that is the only positive. They are right next to a bus stop that attracts strange folks… which might be a large part of the problem. Also, the previous reviewer is mistaken. You cannot fill up there as they do not have gas pumps and haven’t for a very long time. Avoid.

I like this little store… convenient to those last minute items needed in the kitchen as dinner is being prepared. While they do not have the selection you would find at Fred Meyers or Safeway, they most likely will have what you need. They are a bit higher in prices than the typical grocery store, but hey, this is a convenient store for those last minute items you either didn’t put on the grocery list or you just forgot then when shopping… so expect to pay a bit more for the items. This location also has a couple of gas pumps, but it has been some time since I filled up the car here. The store help is real casual and laid back… no real cares or concerns in their world.
