The Toad House Pizza Pub

Sadly, after living here for one year and hearing rave reviews about The Toad House for pizza, my family was disappointed. We ordered «The Winning Combo» (pepperoni, spicy sausage, basil, olives, onions, fresh tomatoes). The crust was quite tough and overcooked and the tomatoes seemed to be an afterthought — they were just raw tomatoes placed atop the rest of the ingredients instead of being fire roasted or cooked with the rest of the pizza. Bummed, but a lesson learned. We’ll stick with Spiro’s or Seabeck Pizza.

We ate the toadal protein and added onion and green peppers! The pizza was delicious and very well presented. The thin airy crust was perfect. My daughter ordered the chicken Caesar salad and was also impressed. The picky eater of the group ordered the «build your own» tad pole cheese pizza and loved it.

Really good pizza small atmosphere quaint great selection of music. Definitely will go back prices were a little high but the quality of pizza was high and so it fit. Service was good parking was fine. I’m driving past your if your time is going to Sushi and always wanted to stop somebody suggested this to me and I’m glad that we finally went in. Great selection of beers and ciders. The pizza crust was absolutely amazing it was crusty and bubbly and exactly the way a good pizza crust should be. The cheese was stringy and delicious we brought home each half of pizza two pizzas was around 50 bucks

Good pizza, cooked in a stone oven, beer of all kinds, neat place for family and friends.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while. March 11^th my boyfriend and I called in to order a pizza for pick up. We asked for the margarita with a few added veggies. When we arrived we were told there was an accident and the pizza was dropped (completely understandable, but.) they said they were already working on another one and it would only be about 5 mins. I thought that was odd but we sat and waited. It took about 25 minutes when they brought it out to us. (I just want them to know, it’s better to be honest and tell a customer an actual good guess/​time then to make it sound good by saying less time and having us wait getting upset. The whole reason we were picking up instead of wanting to sit in there was cause one of us had a headache but because of this we ended up sitting and waiting anyways. To top things off, when we got the pizza home it was so uncooked we had to put it in our oven to cook longer and not all of the extra toppings we ordered were on it which is a bummer since it’s pretty expensive per additional topping. I gave three stars cause even though this was a bad experience, we both agreed when we have dined in before it was better.

The toad is fantastic. Only problem is, it used to be FANTASTIC!!! Still 4 star quality but maybe because I am still romantic with the old days.
As a salute to the local submariners they used to have this beer qual card. You drank a beer out of their 100+ beers they offered and they would sign it. After every milestone up to 100 they would give you rewards, your own pint glass hung up at the bar, a shirt, up to your name on their wall of fame!
No longer, the place is now a local legend and they did away with that. They got rid of almost half of the selection you used to be able to get. The prices increased dramatically and the time is almost ludicrously long. The customer base grew and so did the time waiting, such is life for great restaurants. Typically however they will hire on more staff. Not so for the toad.
If you want great pizza and beer the toad is still the place to go, I just wish you could see it in its former glory!

Love the pizza, love the beer, good environment, my only complaint is that it is a little crowded but it doesn’t lower the star rating

If you like pizza and paninis and especially BEER, this is the place for you! They keep a lot of local beers on tap, and even do growler fills!

Amazing pizza! They have the tried and true ones and some unique and trendy ones… loved the prosciutto, apples, blue cheese and honey. Delicious!

Has gone downhill with slower service, more expensive pizza and no more football. Used to have 4 – 6 servers, brewer nights, high volume and good prices. Now down to 1 – 2 servers, $ 22+ pizza, and so frazzled I saw them turn away customers when half empty– which can’t be good for business. Hopefully they will get back on track.

Definitely give it a try. They have excellent cheese bread. Their beer selection it’s great and varied. We have not been let down by the pizza selection once, and usually let our server select for us. Overall, great but spendy

Okay don’t get me wrong, the food is wonderful. The pizza is delicious and I tried the chicken pesto panini during my last visit, and it was a terrific sandwich! On the other hand, the service is something that needs to be improved. I feel as though each time I come to eat the service just gets worse and worse. The servers have never been rude, but just not very attentive and just kind of slow. I mean it took about 10 minutes for or waitress to bring us our check from the time of bringing a to-​go box for leftovers. I want to come back here to eat because the food is good, but I don’t want to continue to be disappointed in the service.

If I want specialty pizza in Kitsap County this is my go to place. The beer selection is great and servers are always friendly. The wait time can seem long for food but you can’t rush the pizza making process, just order another beer!

I was super bummed when I read the menu then ate the pizza. Got the bbq chicken pizza. The onions were supposed to be grilled and they were all finger size and raw (everyone complained at the party). The dough is dry and not really good. I am sure they spent 50−70k on the brick oven. Well as a culinary student I would put in some more time/​love into the dough. The cheese tasted like pre-​bagged taco cheese. Really bad. Some of the worst pizza I have had in a long time.

Best pizza I’ve had… ever? AMAZING vegetarian options. I’m very pleased. Not only that, they have several of my favorite beers and ciders that most places never heard of nor serve, let alone a large variety of beer. Very nice place! I will be back, on repeat!

THIS PLACE IS GREAT … the food is amazing! and the spinach dip for an appetizer is just phenomenal. The building it self is rather small so it gets packed in there but it is definitely worth it.

Best pizza we have found in Washington so far! They are less than a mile from our house so we are frequent customers! Love the tiny atmosphere and the wonderful staff! The host knows what beer I like and is always so welcoming. Always good beer on tap and the pizza is always delicious! Nothing but good things to say about Toadhouse!

I’ve always heard great things about Toad House but finally after a few years, I decided to give it a try. Now I’m left wondering why I waited so long. This place is amazing! Great prices & fresh ingredients. I also really love that the kids can make their own pizza before it’s cooked. It made my son (4 y/​o) really excited to eat it!

This place sucks! I’m tired of hearing locals tell me their pizza is good. I’ve had better frozen pizza…

Decent pizza and a great selection of beer. The staff was friendly and I like the dark, wood interior. The place is a little strangely-​placed next to a grocery store, with a big empty parking lot, but everything around here is kind of like that. I don’t know if I’d go tout of my way to hunt it down, but if you’re in the area and looking for a good meal and a pitcher, you’ll be happy here.
