Elements Massage

I love the therapists and the staff here. They match the pressure level that I want with the therapists pressure ability. Therapist listens to my specific needs and tailors the massage accordingly. Very professional and friendly, easy to book, relaxing and clean space. Highly recommend!

I visited Element Therapeutic massage for the first time 3 weeks ago. I called and made an appointment with Shakira (whom was recommended by the receptionist). Shakira greeted me promptly and brought me back to the room. We discussed my problem areas in detail. As the massage began, I noticed that she was massaging me with the sheet over me, which I thought was very strange! I’ve had multiple massages in my lifetime, however, I was new to this facility, so I didn’t say anything. After 30 minutes into the massage, she finally removed the sheet and used massage oil on my back. This lasted approximately 5 minutes, and then she pulled the sheet back up over my back. She started massaging again. I noticed that the left side of my back started stinging. I mentioned to her that it was hurting and her reply was that my back was extremely tight and it was due to my muscles. The massage ended and as I got up off the table and began to get dressed, I noticed that my back felt «raw»! There was a tiny mirror and I tried looking in the mirror to see if I could see what had happened, however, it was too dark. I opened the door and Shakira was standing there. I asked her to look at my back and tell me what was wrong. She then stated it looked like a had a sunburn. She then put bio freeze on my back, which felt like FIRE! I then quickly went to the restroom and that’s when I noticed that my skin was raw! The skin was literally hanging off my back. At this time, I come out and the front desk lady and Shakira bring me to a closet right at the front of the salon to give me some antibiotic ointment to put on it. At this point, they are still trying to convince me that it looks like a sunburn, which is complete bull considering I had already looked at it in the well lit bathroom. The lady at the front states, «we are going to comp your session today». Really? Well, if you thought I was paying for this, you’ve got another thing coming! I leave and go home. I showed my husband and he was livid! 3 weeks have passed and my back FINALLY looks better. I would definitely think twice before visiting this location or this massage therapist. The owner called me once to check on me. He said he would call again to f/​up with me, but never did. Very disappointing experience and I truly hope this NEVER happens to anyone else, therefore, that is why I’m writing this review. I will attach photos of my back so you can see what I’ve been dealing with.

My first visit was with Kesha and I will be a lifelong client of hers. I’ve never had anyone that could get the stress, knots and tension out of my back and she can! She’s wonderful and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs a deep tissue massage!
The only downfall is that it’s a new location and they seem to be working some kinks out with their system and employees (my membership was put in their system incorrectly), but I was very happy with the issues I had that were personally fixed by the owner and haven’t had any issues since.
