I really like the pizza here. I knocked off one star because they are a little stingy on toppings. I asked for extra garlic and she only added 2 more and still there wasn’t even 1 piece of garlic on each piece. I knocked another star off because this is my second time here and there are always a lot of flys. Not enough to make me not eat here but enough that I’ve noticed it both times. The food is good but the service is so slow. I work nearby and this is NOT the place to come for lunch. I get an hour for lunch it took 35 minutes to get my food! It wasn’t even that busy. The people are always friendly and explain how things work.

I always enjoy the pizza, and friendly employee’s at this location. I would like to complain about the water faucet in the women’s bathroom. I understand there’s a drought going on but it’s really really hard to wash your hands the way you have the faucet set. You push it down and it immediately turns off. You end up having to either hold it down with one hand or your arm, while you wash the other hand. Please set it to stay on for a little while so we can actually wash both hands at the same time. :)

Ok my review changed a bit I really do like the pizza here it’s really good. My only complaint is the staff. I know they are young but it’s so inconsistent. U have to sit there and make sure everything is done correctly. Don’t phone in a pizza cuz it’s always made weird. Also they need to train their employees on toppings. Sometimes they don’t know what the topping is and how much to put on. They never put enough cheese but will put a pound of sun dried tomatoes on it. That’s not a good combo!

As a new vegan, I let my family pick where we were going to eat and they chose Mod Pizza. Mind you the rest of my family is not vegan, so I was apprehensive about going there. Once we got there I asked one of the employees if they had any dough that was made without milk or eggs. He recommended the gluten free dough but also went and read the ingredients to make sure. Lately when I go to a restaurant and tell someone I’m vegan they still ask«do you want cheese on that» or «would you like to add bacon?» MOD’s employees knew what was up and knew what Vegan was so, I didn’t have to give any of them the Are you serious?! Face. The whole staff was Great and very helpful and knowledgable which I really appreciated!!! The pizza was sooooo good & I even had left overs!

I’ve seen MOD tucked away in the corner of this shopping center for quite some time now and just decided to give it a shot while shopping at Trader Joe’s the other day(right next door). How It Works — Pick your pizza crust size, choose your toppings(unlimited), pizza cooks(about 7 minutes), add any additional topping(yes, after the pizza is cooked!), then enjoy! We came in around 5PM on a Saturday and the store had an appropriate number of employees to ensure quick service. Everyone was friendly and super helpful given that we were newbies to MOD. We ordered 1 mini($ 5.50) and 2GF’s($ 10.25 each). We were asked if the GF’s were for preference or allergy. Once I confirmed allergy, they changed gloves and noted allergy on the cooking paper. We brought our pizza home to enjoy. The GF’s were so Y-U-M-M-Y and while there is always a chance of gluten contamination as they are not a GF kitchen, my BF did not get sick or have a gluten reaction, so an extra star for proper food handling. Out of Domino’s, Mountain Mike’s, Papa Murphy’s, Skipolini’s, Mello’s, and MOD, MOD is definitely the value winner. I rank them in the same quality category as Mello’s and Skipolini’s, but for a much better price. Savings of roughly $ 7 per GF pizza, with unlimited toppings. Definitely worth checking out … I mean, where can you get a fresh mini pizza, with unlimited«healthy» options for less than $ 6 with tax!!!

Make your own pizzas are just the thing is it? There’s a bunch of different chains capitalizing on the idea; of being the Chipotle of pizzas. So let’s see how this one was. I’ve only been here twice. It’s a ways away from Pittsburg. But it’s easy toget here. Just get on the freeway toward Stockton, exit 33 Lone Tree Way. Lots of parking that varies from a few seconds walk to a few minutes walk. Don’t want to make your own choices. Order from one of many specials like the Tristan. But I suggest you make your own. That’s what this place is all for huh? White sauce, pesto, or red sauce. Spinach or lettuce. Three different types of sausages, and many types of meat. So many types of cheese and veggies. You can even add stuff on top after it comes out of the oven. First time trying this place was a blast. We(family of four) got sodas, pizzas, a salad(yeah they have salads) and milkshakes. Tasted pretty good. The think crust was a bit crunchy, the sausage so good, re jalapeños were super spicy, and it was a bit greasy but pretty good. I love how it’s made in a brick oven. I like the three different sizes. I always choose the Mod. I like the many different choices of toppings, and they got pesto! I love pesto! I would suggest now to order to go though especially if you live far away. It just makes the pizzas even more greasy and soggy too. Not the best pizza I have ever had. I prefer my crust a bit thicker. I wish they would add more to the pizza without me having to ask more than once for more. But it was tasty enough that I finished my meal.

New and unique pizza styles are definitely trending right now. Rather than taking a chance at a well-known establishment like Dominos or Pizza Hut, I would much rather give places like Mod a chance. Let’s admit it; in the end they do it better anyways. Mod works in the same way that Pieolgy works. Taking the Chipotle/Subway style set up where you have ingredients out in full view, just awaiting your crazy custom creations. Or, you can go the easy route and pick a signature pie from their giant menu. I went for their seasonal pie which was the«Lucca». It starts the way any traditional pizza starts, with red sauce and mozzarella. Add salami, sun-dried tomatoes, and roasted red peppers, and my friends, you have the«Lucca». The mod size is a little bigger than a personal pan pizza you would get other places, and it’s the perfect size for hungry maniacs like me. Two BIG reasons I’ll be back: The cheese, and the sauce. Two simple, main ingredients in pretty much every pie, ever; yet at Mod you can really taste the quality in every bite. It should go without saying but, quality tastes good. The pie was the perfect amount of crispy without being burnt. The center was soft, yet still firm enough to hold it together. In essence, it was the perfect pie. Their Caeser salad comes with diced tomatoes, which was a little strange sounding at first but turns out to be a great addition. They make it right in front of you, quick, and within a minute it’s ready to eat. The staffs were all very friendly and helpful. Checking on customers though out the dining room, while picking up discarded plates at the same time; all with a smile you say? Yes I do. If only I lived closer, Mod would definitely be a more frequent stop of mine.

Awesome pizza! Everything is made to order as you go along. Also this is excellently priced. They do have an alright beer selection as well. I love the model of this place, if I were to open a franchise this would hands down be the one. Really awesome concept.

There is the good and the so so. Nothing bad. First the good: the price. A pizza to feed two and a beer for $ 12 something, tax included. Amazing. It had to be just a cheese pizza right? Wrong. all the toppings we wanted. You go to the counter, choose a size and a sauce and then they add whatever toppings you want. All for the one price and a very low one. The so so is the crust, if you could call it that. It is just a bit of flatbread that serves no purpose other than to hold the toppings. It is not nasty, I have tasted a few of those, but the best that can be said of it is that it is not bad. Then there is the ambiance: Industrial. Add in a nice selection of beers and t can be a good meal, just not one you will be talking about the next day.

4 stars for price No long lines and easy ordering no fuss I picked maddy for kids which is some term just for cheese pizza and a no 5 Lucy sunshine COZ it sounded sunshiney… if u pick your own ingredients you get lots more toppings and I believe it’s the same price Nice place to take kids and a better pizza than when u don’t want to eat Little Ceasars I remember by chance going to Blaze in Fremont Oh my that was a blaze… super looooonnnnggg lines and too chaotic I can’t really compare tastes COZ that was quite awhile ago but Mod should be fine if you want quick economical kiddie pizza place They have shakes too and salads for dieting moms It’s fire brick oven cooked or something like that similar to all these new pizza joints popping up It’s just a cheaper option than going to tomatinas or Italian restaurants for a simple pizza craving

MOD is very similar to Pieology. I don’t know what it is, however I am a bigger Pieology fan. With that being said, the pizza was still good and for the price it can’t be beat. Unlimited toppings per pizza with as little or as much as you want. Great selection of cheeses and toppings, meat and veggies offer a lot to choose from. If pizza isn’t your thing, they have salads that can be made as well. Beer, soda, and milkshakes to choose from!

Hi, I’m Andrea, and I’m a pizza aficionado. Or so I like to think. I am not even halfway through my meal and writing this review. I am so incredibly disappointed in the pizza here. There were only 3 people in line so I can’t say, «Oh maybe since they were busy, that’s why the food came out bad.» I picked the MOD size which is the medium 11″ pizza, with red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, and olives. Simple, hard to mess up, right? Wrong… I also got a side Caesar salad and a drink it came out to about $ 15 and change. I was excited, I love pizza, and I was ready to go home and try it out. Got home annnnnd a burnt pizza! Like BURNT. I even attempted to eat a slice and I just can’t do it. I’m angry. I’m HANGRY. And I don’t think I’ll be back. The two stars is for customer service, they just need to learn how to bake a pizza.

I love Pieology in Concord, so I figured this place was similar. It is but it isn’t… The assembly line concept is the same but you have the option to add another layer of crust to your pizza here, and they have Daiya VEGANCHEESE here! You tell them what you want on your pizza & they put it on, there’s no extra charge for any toppings, and there are a bunch to choose from! The process should be fairly quick, but I was stuck behind indecisive people that were trying to recreate a pizza on the menu, but edit it somehow. Which took an eternity to a starving person! Waiting in line until when my pizza was done, probably took a total of 15min. which is quite a long time considering I’m in & out of Pieology in about 5−10min max. They have awesome options like garlic bread sticks, cinnamon strips with chocolate or strawberry dipping sauce… Which is really cool. There are plates at every table so you don’t have to fuss with having them brought to you, or having to bring them to your table. The seating is like community seating where you share tables with other people, it’s nice, but I’m a huge fan of very intimate eating settings. This place is ideal for large groups! Parking is a pain, You’ll probably never find a close spot. Overall it’s a great local place to eat, with good quality pizza! They even have good beers &IPA’s there! The pizza at Pieology taste better & somehow have more flavor, it may be the difference in the crust being fresh at Pieology vs. Being a dried cardboard looking disc at MOD, but it’s still a good place & I’d definitely come back again. The price here is also a little cheaper than Pieology as well!

Have you tried MOD Pizza? I am still wondering. Save your time and go to Kinders next door. (M)ade(O)n(D)elay Pizza was a disappointment. Got out of line after 20 minutes with 2 people still in front of us. Line started just at the door. As you can see from the picture, more pizza on the middle counter and on the staging area. At one point the pizza oven was empty. Meaning no pizzas cooking. Great business model. At Pieology, pizza is in the oven right before you even pay and pretty much at your table by the time you get your drink. I guess they are not competitors. Pieology has nothing to worry about. Funny thing is, some of the people behind us in line, we saw them at next door at Kinders.

Pizza was good. Make sure if you order the mega tell them please cook a bit longer do the middle of pizza i more than just warm with uncooked second crust layer. Most employees where very friendly. There was one on the line that just needed to be fired very unfriendly and just tossing stuff like you where inconvenienceing her maker her do her job. Also please hire somebody to actually clean was there about 45 min and never once seen anybody clean a table. Customers where just having to wipe off the table from previous person. And the plates over trash where overflowing and would tumple off on the floor as more people stacked there’s. Fix these issues and rates will be 4 and 5 stars.

Our first time here the kids and I went with the Dillon James(mozzarella, asiago, fresh chopped basil, garlic, sliced tomatoes, MOD sauce)… think CPK’s Margherita pizza… and the Maddy(classic cheese). We’ve gone back a couple of other times and have incorporated the Pizza Salad(create your own salad on a warm asiago pizza crust) into our rotation. Endless make your own possibilities. Thinking I’ll try my own pesto, mozzarella, spinach, and artichoke combo next time. I like the idea of choosing what you want… without being charged extra for it. Your average tasting pizza restaurant with a good central location. Parking in the busy Trader Joe’s parking lot is less than ideal or desirable. The menu and choice of toppings are fairly extensive. The prices are appealing. Decent option amongst limited others.
