A great experience! Erin was fantastic and very friendly. Made the whole experience that much better with a great haircut, best haircut I’ve ever gotten honestly. Please make it a point to ask for her when you are here.

I wouldn’t want to give you just 1 star. If Unilocal have the –1 star I would like to give you guys that. I don’t know who was the lady talking on the phone with me today. But really rude. I would like to ask if the owner there for today or I would like to make an appointment with him to get my haircut. And the lady just said don’t take appointment after 6 o’clock. Then just hung up for no reason and haven’t say anything for letting me know. It was 4 o’clock when I was make a phone call. I guess you guys are racist just because I don’t speak good English or that salon only for rich and famous people? Poor and Rude service customer I have been never seen before.

I have been going to The Edge Salon and Bill Vandiver exclusively for 12 years now. I have lots of experience with this salon, not just a single visit, and I HIGHLY recommend this salon. Their prices are reasonable, especially being in Brentwood and for the caliber of stylist.
I completely trust Bill with any suggestions he has and have always left happy. When it comes to color in particular, Bill is an expert in the field. He uses really good color than doesn’t dry out my hair, not sure the brand but I really like it. If this means anything to you, he is a highly sought after hairdresser to several country music stars, Titans cheerleaders, and pageant girls. I just go because they do a great job :)!
I find all the stylists very easy to work with and listen to what you want. If something isn’t right, I have no doubt they will do whatever they can to make it right. I haven’t had that happen to me in these 12 years, but I know they always want me to leave happy. I no longer live near the salon and drive 30 minutes to get there, despite having a really good salon within walking distance from my house.
BTW — The salon also has free wifi, which is much appreciated so I can do some work while they work .
Bottom line — GO!
One last thing — about the décor — yes, it’s kitsch. That may not be your taste, but I’d rather a salon not charge me outrageous prices to make up for fancy décor.

I’ve never written a bad review before, but it needs to happen for this place. First, the salon itself is the pits. It was loud, messy, not well cleaned and also the décor is lacking. I mention the décor because it was so bad it was distracting. They also did not keep their combs in barbicide. I feel pretty confident that what touched my head was not cleaned since it last touched someone else’s head. The floors had stains on them. The music was loud and appeared to be on a channel from the 80’s (which hey, if that’s your thing, you’ll like this place).
My cut was disappointing and poorly executed. I’m including a picture where my hair is supposed to be cut to all one length. And this is after I asked her to go back and fix it. She was willing to fix it and listen to what I did not like about the cut. She offered to have me not pay but I ended up paying a discounted rate.
Overall I will not return and I will urge others to not go either.
