While Crocker’s has the best variety, quality and selection of plants in the area, they’re also among the most expensive — but you get what you pay for. Part of the fun of coming to Crocker’s is being able to walk the grounds, looking at plants in their various stages of growth and learning how to select, arrange and plant them. In addition to plants, they sell everything gardening-related, including hoses, mulches, soils, and accessories like gloves and hats. Most of what they sell is grown right there, so you know you’re getting hearty plants meant for the local environment.

I’ve been helping my Dad with his vegetable and flower gardens this spring. We decided to put in an arbor with climbing roses at the house, and my uncle told us to go to Crockers because he thought they had the best roses. When we arrived, I was overwhelmed with the variety of plants they had– and we had been to 5 other garden centers in the Chatham-Harwich-Dennis area that weekend. None of the others were anything like Crockers. We walked up to a random employee to ask him about climbing roses, and he took us right over to them and spent 10 minutes with us explaining everything we needed to know. By the way– each plant was $ 16– seems like a steal to me! Everyone there was extremely nice and helpful, and the selection was terrific.
