This museum is a little secret in Bridgeport, since not everyone knows about it. I was so glad to find it. It has a lot of history about the local area, which I love. If you like museums you’ll like this place. I wish they had more stuff to show, but for the price it was worth it. I want to go back again, but this time spend more time. You need to read all the exhibits so expect to spend at least 2 hours. Children zapped out on sugar will not have the patience for this place, so make sure you only bring mellow children, or skip the sugar.

What a nifty place! In downtown Bridgeport, right in front of the People’s Bank HQ is the P.T. Barnum Museum — it is a great piece of local history. We got the free passes from the Milford Library last August and proceeded to bring the kids on a very HOT Wednesday afternoon to utilize the AC. What a pleasant surprise! We were the only patrons that day and had the run of the place. People’s Bank also sponsored a recycling exhibit in the«Gallery» that was particularly thought provoking.
