I have mixed feelings about this pharmacy in this particular store. When we went to pick up medicine today(March 24), those who worked in the pharmacy were friendly and helpful. The pharmacist was helpful and was nice. The clerk was friendly and helpful when we paid for the medicine. Last night(March 23), the pharmacist on duty had an attitude which came across as rude and inconsiderate; he acted like he didn’t want to wait on us and was doing it because it was his job. He helped other people while he was supposedly helping us, and gave us the wrong price twice. That was a complete contrast to what it was like today. I’m not sure I would go there again for any reason when people have that kind of attitude. I gave this place three stars because the pharmacy staff on the 24th was friendly and helpful. If it had been a repeat of the previous day, I would have given one star.

Getting in and out of this place is like a labyrinth but I’m so glad it is where it is and that they are conveniently open 24 hours a day. Long story short, I left work early and went to the nearest hospital, which happened to be the DePaul. I get out of DePaul Hospital at 1AM and needed to drop off a prescription. Since I wasn’t aware that I was going to have to go to the hospital I didn’t bring my pharmacy card. My job only allows us to do pick up prescriptions at CVS and I was a new customer to the pharmacy and not in their system. The Pharmacist in the drive-thru was super cool and ultra helpful even though it was clear that I was frustrated and in pain. I gave her my name and address and she said she would look it up for me and said she’d make sure she took care of everything and the prescription should be field in the next 30 to 45 minutes. Well I hadn’t eaten and I didn’t want any greasy fast food so I drove up the street to IHOP. By the time I got out of my car to she called my cell phone back and told me that she’d pulled at my insurance, I was in the system now and good to pick up my prescription in drive-thru. That was 15 minutes after I left here — wow! Now that’s what I call customer service! Talk about going above and beyond; she did things that she didn’t have to do. That one experience has now made me an exclusive CVS customer whether it’s a prescription that I need or just getting random items.
