Man, what in the hell ever happened to K-Mart? When I was growing up in Detroit, K-Mart was where it was at. Forget Walmart. And Target was too expensive. It was all about K-Mart, and they had everything from lawn mowers to oyster sauce stationary to TVs to lingerie. I admit it’s been a few years since I’ve been to a K-Mart. I came here looking for a winter coat after going to Lowe’s one day, and hoooooooooooly crap, what the heck happened to the K-Mart brand? This place was more like Big Lots!!! For one thing, their food section was like 3 aisles deep, top, as if it were an after-thought. What little this store did have was scattered about and not organized. oh, and how the heck do you not have winter coats in November? Nothing, zilch, nada, in neither men’s nor women’s? Just sayin’. This place was ridiciulous. Not going back.

Don’t go here. Plain and simple. You can get cheaper items at Walmart or Target. Secondly, when I went to check out, the cashier was texting on her cell phone and didn’t even acknowledge me till a minute later. Even after she saw that I was there, she continued to text until she finished. Horrible customer service, expensive prices. Save your time and money.

Horrible slow service at the customer service desk. They need to have more than one person working there. I went to the customer service desk to pick up an item I purchased online. The wait was extremely long so once I got my order, then I’m told by the lazy customer service worker that I had to stand in line again in the check out lanes to pay for the items I had in my cart. Why couldn’t she just ring my items up that I had in my cart, seeing that I already waited forever in line to get my store pick up item. LAZYPIG

A quasi political rant and a store review all wrapped in one, so enjoy. Ever since Target hit the scene I really have to ask, «Who even goes to Kmart anymore?» I asked this to myself out loud the other day as I had to get my meds filled due to a sinus infection. No one looked at me odd, as there seemed to be several people talking to themselves. I now go here because of the stolid contractual war between Express Scripts and Walgreens. Thanks you two… idiots…qausi-political rant over. This store is harshly bright, rather dingy, and the selections, especially in the electronic section, are on the cheaper end. On top of that, I’ve found the mainstream DVD and Blu-Ray movies are overpriced. I laughed at the men’s area, especially the young man’s department, as they had a tv with music videos playing. I laughed because it just seemed a lame attempt to be cool and creating a shopping experience that you will find at a department store like Macy’s or Dillard’s. This is hard to create when everything is whitewashed. You will feel like you are in that August Burns Red’s «Whitewashed.» The best WTF moment is discovering the opportunity to purchase Joe Boxer male thongs. Who knew that Kmart cared about male panty line? One great tip is you can find patio furniture cheap during the off season and clearance days. I bought a great patio table for under $ 50. So, keep that in mind. The extra star is for the pharmacy, as they filled my prescription out efficiently and with the greatest of ease. The hours are little later than Target. No problems there and credit when credit is due! The later 80s quote, «K-Mart sucks», remains as true as ever and who knows, you may even bump into someone who still dresses from that Tom Cruise era who cares about male panty line. One never knows?

I have popped in an out of here a few times when I couldn’t find what I needed any place else. Basic Kmart store with employees that act like they’d rather be someplace else. When you ask them where something is they will point in the general direction and that is as far as your help is going to go. This is a store that if I could find the something somewhere else I would not be in here. Best thing about them is that the prices and sales are very good(I needed to get something for a relative; it was an emergency and they were the only store that had it — and on sale too!) for household type items or things to stock your pantry with. Clothes? Meh!
