Best Italian food in the area. Seriously, no need to say more. Next to the famous Rock Deli. This plaza produces some great grub. Anything you get from this place will be worth it. Saw the mayor of Bridgewater in here the other day. If this is the mayors go to then you know its gotta be fanstastical

Saw they served GF(gluten free) pizza and gave it a try. It was excellent. GF crust is what it is, but they made a phenomenal GF Margarita pizza. If you GF, run, dont walk, to this place. Delicious.

Ordered some takeout, by far the best friendly service and best tasting food in my area. Calzone was delicious, cheese steak was amazing, and pizza was the best. Will be calling again.

Stopped in for a quick lunch today and I was not that impressed with Carlo’s pizza. I am quite surprised this pizzeria received 4+ stars in Unilocal ratings. My coworker and I ordered 1 sausage slice, 1 plain slice, 1 plain square slice, and one rice ball. Guys at the counter were very friendly and brought our slices and rice ball to the table. Slices are big and hearty. Rice ball was bland and barely room temperature. Quite disappointing. The flavor of the sausage was delicious but the slice itself was not proportioned correctly. It seemed like the pizza crust needed to be thicker. There was too much topping(sausage/sauce/cheese vs crust). Pizza also needed to be hotter and crispier. My coworker did not eat the plain slice he ordered. It was one big mush and he did not enjoy it one bit. My square speciality slice had some type of delicious red sauce on it and this was the only win from Carlo’s. All in all, 4 stars for service but 2.5−3 stars for their food. I will continue to order my pizza from Frank’s down the street since their pizza here was not appealing to me.

I felt like pizza today. After reading the reviews for Carlos, decided to give it a try. I got sausage and onion with anchovies. They broken up the sausage and chopped the anchovies and sprinkled them over the pizza. Much better than a few big chunks. Really good pizza. The crust is not as thin with a doughy edge like NY pizza. Still a good pizza, great sauce. I also tried their Arancini. They were great, especially with a side of their sauce.

My wife, daughter and I were doing some shopping at a complex nearby and decided to try this place for lunch. Typically, we’d go to the Panatieri’s in Bound Brook but we wanted to switch it up. Given the great Unilocal reviews and some of the pictures, we decided to come here. They’re located in a pretty unassuming strip mall, like many pizza joints in NJ. This is what I would classify as an old school pizzeria. They didn’t have a ton of the«unique» pizza combinations and probably only had about 7 – 8 different slice pies to choose from. This may be hard for a pizza purist to read but I’m more into the whacky combinations now and trying all kinds of hard to find slices. I went with a slice of Grandma’s pie and a sausage slice. Both slices were pretty good. They were definitely not the best I’ve had but they were solid. I liked that were a decent size and the prices were reasonable. I’d have no problems coming back; everything was fine. The guys working behind the counter were nice, too.

This place is a gem. I can’t remember a more perfect crust on a pizza that I’ve had… ever. My two young sons and I all had slices and devoured them. It’s in a small plaza so don’t whizz by it, you’ll be mad if you do. My only complaint is that we found this place while out and about and it’s too far to go to on a regular basis. Too bad it’s not closer to the house!

Good pizza, good meals & good prices. Quick and easy. Décor in restaurant needs major help but if you can see through that give this place a try. I enjoy the chef salad & the garlic bread. My hubby usually gets some type of chicken or sausage sandwich. Very good.

The best pizza!!! We made it a tradition to grab friday night dinner at Carlo’s! Best, fresh, delicious food. The only restaurant that makes the most amazing vodka grandma’s pie — which is absolutely a must try! The penne vodka w/chicken is another favorite! Great place to grab a quick slice or have a nice sit down dinner. Highly recommend it!

I have been a customer of Carlo’s for five years and will keep on coming back for as long as it is open. Carlo makes the best Pizza and parm. sandwiches in NJ from my experience and his crew is always ready to help and serve. I send people to his business all the time and never heard one negative thing about it from anybody.

Great NY style pizza. Probably the best I’ve has in NJ so far. I had two slices fresh out of the oven. Prices are decent, two plain slices and a bottle of water for about $ 5. Will definitely be back!

First timer at Carlo’s. I’m on business in the area and wanted Italian take out. Read the reviews, and decided to give it a try. So glad I did. When I came in, I told the guy behind the counter I had read some reviews on line, he told me that I couldn’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I think he is right. Had the Penne ala Vodka with chicken. It came with a nice side salad and garlic bread. I took it to go. Delicious! Really hit the spot. Will visit Carlo’s again when in the area. Took a star away for the bread… wished it was crusty.

Love their pizza! My husband and I used to love Franks in Bound Brook(Shoprite complex), but after they went downhill, we were looking for a new go-to pizza place. We spent an evening trying slices from a number of places and Carlos won by a landslide! On top of great pizza, they also make a great salad(and will sub romaine for iceberg if you ask). They are also very accommodating. I wanted bruschetta(which is not on the menu) and they whipped it up for me! This is our current fave local pizzeria!
