Chandler’s Pond

i love finding random bodies of water tucked in unsuspecting neighborhoods. this is right in between oak square and boston college area comm. ave and is surrounded by adorable little houses and happy nice people walking around on sunny mornings. so cute and clean and pleasant, considering it’s like right in boston.

I am a worshipper of water – river, lake, pond, puddle, I don’t care. And man-​made – well, that’s better than nothing. I like for my walks with the dog to end up by a body of water, so I was psyched to find Chandler Pond. It’s off Washington Street on Lake Street, just past St. John’s Seminary. It’s small and beautiful with ducks and a nice grassy area to sit. That’s all there is to it really. I did not see any signs expressly forbidding swimming, so I will be sure to try it out on the first hot day.
