Clean, good good, great management and staff. Menu has a lot of variety. Great food whether dine in or carry out. I would recommend them to my family and friends.

Love, love, love the burnt ends! Great sauces, too. The sides are okay. Not a fan of their coleslaw or their beans which are my go-to sides at other BBQ places. The french fries and okra are good. Can’t get enough of those burnt ends though.

There are many really good bbq places in Tulsa. This is one of the best, for sure. We ordered a sampler with several different meats and could not have been happier with the quality and flavor. Bonus: their hot bbq sauce is actually hot! Most places with hot bbq sauce is not hot.

Clean store, friendly staff. Sides are great but the brisket was disappointing– they pulled it out of a 1 gal bag pre sliced and the meat was dry. Sept 2015.

I would rate this place right at 3.5 stars. Don’t get me wrong, this is really decent bbq but it’s just missing that authentic smokey flavor that really good bbq should have. The brisket is not bad, but if I were to recommend anything here it would be the ribs which were tender and pretty flavorful. The sides are decent. The sauce couId use a little more spice. I wouldn’t call this my go to place for bbq but it would be worth trying again.

Meh. Not bad. Not great. Okay BBQ. Very typical of Oklahoma BBQ. Reminded me of childhood. The meat was good. They fry their okra whole, which seemed strange at first, but has zero effect on the taste. Their batter is very good. I probably won’t go back, but i’m not crazy about BBQ(which is close to blasphemy here in Green Country).

Oklahoma Joes is an amazing place. There are various awards all over the walls from BBQ competitions all over the United States. Even their BBQ sauce has won awards. I had the house specialty, the pulled pork sandwich. The pork was moist and flavorful. Their sauce was perfect, not too sugary or vinegary. My boyfriend said his brisket sandwich was excellent. I wish Sarasota had a BBQ place like Oklahoma Joes.

I’m a fan of OK Joe’s BUT the last two times I’ve been in the food hasn’t been very good. I hate to say this about one of my favorite BBQ places in Tulsa but it is true. I don’t know if something has changed or if I’ve just been unlucky. The Q has been luke warm and did not taste fresh. The burnt ends were dry. This place is normally way to good to be just OK. I hope they get back on track soon.

Went to Oklahoma Joes with my family for my Birthday. I had never been here before and heard great things about it. Its like a lot of Bar B Q places ive been to in that you get in a line and order your food. By the time you get to the cash register your food is ready. You pay then take your tray of food to your picnic bench type seating. I would rather sit down and order but this is the way a lot of Bar B Q places operate. The food was killer. It is now my favorite Bar B Q place in the Tulsa/Broken Arrow area. They have 3 different types of sauce at the tables and all 3 were excellent. The baked beans were some of the best i have ever tasted. I ordered a full slab of baby backs and had to take ½ home. Everyone in my party was very happy with their meals. They even have unlimited soft drinks. I highly recommend this place for the food.

I live out of town now, and every time I go back to Tulsa, OK Joe’s is on the list of must haves. Their ribs are my favorite, and a full rack can easily feed two. Their fried okra is also the best around; they fry the whole pod, not just chopped pieces. Their sides are great, and I think it’s the best BBQ in town.

Ok I guess I have to give them two stars which is more than I thought they would earn considering their past chananagans. The BBQ was really good, however the chopped BBQ was poured out of a heated bag. The ketchup was soured and the meat on the brisket had a single layer of Texas toast fooling you into thinking you were getting more. I really would have given them a three star but as we were leaving the bus boy was refilling the sauces on the table and he dropped the lid on the floor and it plopped upside down and the young man picked it up and put it back a sauce dispenser. 27.00 for two is too high.

I dream about this place when I leave my hometown area. I miss you Oklahoma Joes. My husband and I usually split the rib platter, and it is more than enough food. I highly recommend the fried okra. It is a full piece of okra, and it is very good. This is a self-serve place, and the food comes out fast. The managers are attentive to your needs. They clean the tables quickly and are always fully stocked with silverware, paper towels, and to-go boxes.

BBQ is just okay. Burnt Ends were really fatty and not really burnt. Okra was stringy. Sweet corn(on the cob) was excellent. I cut it off with a knife on to a plate and added butter, salt, and pepper. Would not go back again.

When a buddy of mine told that this was the best BBQ to be found in the area I thought he was telling a fish tale and said as much. Well the glove had been thrown so he insisted that we go and have dinner to prove his point and redeem his culinary honor. Well I have to say that I ate crow, not off the menu but the figurative kind. It was and is one of the better BBQ’s you’ll find in the area if not the best. The sliced brisket was tender and moist, the pulled pork was flavorful and not overly fatty. Just all around great BBQ! My buddy was vindicated and I got a free meal of fantastic BBQ so it was a win win for both!

Pros: I ate at an Oklahoma Joes in Kansas and wasn’t impressed. Went to this location because my husband wanted some BBQ. This time around, I liked it. I got a fully loaded baker with hot links. They got my order right. Sauce was good. He got ribs and brisket. He’s now calling this place the best in town. Cons: rib meat was odd? I liked that you could eat it with knife and fork. I didn’t like the weird texture.

Let me start by saying I’ve gotten spoiled with BBQ… This was mediocre. I was excited when I saw they had corn on the cob and Bologna so I sampled both… they were good not great but good. I ordered the ribs without sauce and they didn’t have much flavor. The potato salad was pretty good and the slaw was way too sweet, though billed as spicy for my taste. The place was packed… and reminded me of the Rib cage. Missing Off the Bone right now…

Since I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and have been living in Los Angeles since I started college, I consider myself to be pretty spoiled when it comes to food. I recently arrived in Tulsa for a 6-week long business trip. I knew that California’s food would be hard to top, but I also knew that if there was one thing that Oklahoma would smoke(get it?) us at is the barbecue. I looked for a high rated place on Unilocal,so I ended up at Oklahoma Joe’s. I ordered the Grand Champion Platter… for myself. LOL. I have a huge appetite and I knew that I wanted to sample a lot of things, so I felt as if the Grand Champion Platter was the perfect fit for me. I was able to sample brisket, pulled pork, bologna, sausage, hot link, turkey, and ribs. You also get Texas toast and three sides — I chose beans, cole slaw, and sweet potato fries. Out of the meats, the ribs, sausage, and hot link were delicious! The meat fell off of the bone of the ribs. The sausage and hot link were so flavorful. The bologna and brisket were decent. The turkey was ridiculously dry, and I was not a fan of it. The pulled pork was too mushy for my taste. The BBQ sauces were amazing and helped the dryness of the meat. The side dishes were all very good — especially the beans. The sweet potato fries were absolutely delicious. Definitely don’t forget to ask for some ranch dressing for the fries — soooo good. Also a plus — on Sundays, the Grand Champion Platter comes with 2 drinks. I guess the platter is meant for 2 people, but if you have a huge appetite like me, it is for one ;-). The service here is very good. Everyone is very friendly, the food comes out quickly. You literally pay at the register and walk a few feet down the counter and the food is ready within a few minutes. I would give Oklahoma Joe’s 3.5 stars. +1.5 star for the ribs, sausage, and hot link. +1 for the sides. +1 for the great service and prices. The BBQ was overall pretty good, but it did not blow my mind. I think I hyped up Oklahoma BBQ a little too much in my mind, but I was a little underwhelmed. :-(. Maybe I haven’t been to the BESTBBQ place yet?

Best BBQ ribs I’ve had in a long time! I didn’t care too much for the brisket but my boyfriend and I will definitely be coming back for some more ribs. Their beans and potato salad was pretty good too. About the service: We were nicely greeted as soon as we got in. The food came out quickly and I like how they have the to go boxes and lids out for you to grab yourself if needed.
