Newly renovated. The place is sparkling clean. The staff here is very friendly and they have an «A» rating. The sandwiches here are fresh. Soups are homemade and not too salty. The prices are really fair as well. The lunch specials come with either a bottle of water or can of soda. The lamb gyro is absolutely delicious. It tastes and looks homemade. They aren’t the usual commercial blocks that they slice and grill. There was nice texture in the meat. Another time I had the falafel. I wouldn’t recommend it. Although it was freshly fried, the inside if the ball was cold. They didn’t cook it long enough and the flavor was lacking a little. I found my new lunch spot.

I love this little hole in the wall. For being such a small store it has a lot of variety in sandwiches, the homemade soups are delicious, the prices are great and the staff is super friendly. I“m glad to hear that they’re expanding their store because I can’t wait to see what else they put on the menu. Best deal in there is their half a sandwich and a homemade soup for $ 6. And one of their best sandwiches on their menu is the Shapiro which includes hummus, avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion, cranberries, feta and black olives(I don’t include the olives on my sandwich) on whole wheat. Delicious!

This is truly a hidden gem in the 161st area of the Bronx. East of the Concourse and near the courts’ I was put on to this place by my brother who once worked in the courthouse. I was on jury duty and needed a lunch spot. He told me to go to Farook’s(the F in F.K.). Once inside it looked like a bodega, but the secret was in the back, in the deli. There they had a great selection of sandwiches, a pleasant surprise when you’re used to the usual cold cut fare of bronx deli’s. They had veggie and vegan choices. I opted for the«Shapiro», named after a local legal eagle. It had cranberries, feta, hummus avocado and olives. It certainly was new to me but I enjoyed it. They have a great selection of sandwiches to choose from as well as gourmet chips and bodega beverages. Those who work in the courts know about this place so don’t be surprised by the lunchtime crowd. I havent had jury duty in a while so I wasnt able to try more of the unique sandwiches. I have gone back on non court hours to find it closed so definitely a prime time lunch spot.

This place may look like any old run down place from outside, but it’s my absolute favorite place to get sandwiches in New York. The variety is incredible and all the sandwiches are really interesting and well made. The employees are super friendly, and they always know exactly what I want as soon as I enter. This place is a true gem.

This is a really good sandwich place for the area. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but the deli is pretty good. My favorites are the Sweetness sandwich and the French sandwich with Brie.

Really impressive selection of sandwiches with cute names and well designed. Fast staff and decent prices. Check them out if you’re near the Bronx Courthouses or Yankee Stadium and want a quick bite.
