For a Bronx location u can def have a fab time. Been there 2times.
There’s street parking. ID a must, sometimes there’s a charge @ the door $ 10 – 20 depends. Went with a group of 6 we got a table where the DJ was doing a great job !!!
They have beer Buckets $ 15 for 15. Some days They have the bottles from $ 50 – 100. guys & girl go go dancers on certain days so if u want to see call b4 u Go.;)

Where most places a cup of seltzer is free, I was charged 5 $ ridiculous. Some of these kids aren’t even of age. Total miss… But there is parking around. No dress code, Jordan’s and jeans are common. Mandatory coat check…

Had a work holiday party here. The restaurant closed down the space and catered for our party. The venue, service, food, and drinks was alright. But the food was not good. There was a HAIR in my salad, the shrimp in the shrimp pasta was not fresh at all. It tasted old and very overcooked. Also, they promised pernil and monfongo. But all we got was some old seafood, an unsanitary salad, and some overcooked meat. No dessert! What kind of monfongo house doesn’t serve monfongo?

I made reservations for a birthday celebration for a group of 15. Not only where they unprepared but also the place no had room for a group of us. The space was tight, music all right, but the kicker was when a group of teenagers decided to create a riot. The security guards all sprayed tear gas and threw all the patrons of the business to fend for themselves. I was trying to get back into the establishment for my belongings that were left behind such my purse and one security guard decided that he didn’t want to deal with me? Threw this has on my face. I am disgusted with the service and even more that I had spend over 700 dollars in this illegal space. Please do not even try going if you would like to leave the place alive.

Horrible Serivce… waited 35mins for my food the promotion on IG for the 20 cents wings during happy hr are a lie. my waitress to busy drinking beer she forgot about my table. My GF food came out after the 35mins, And i waited for my food for an hr and its wasn’t even to busy. the menu doesnt honor anything it stats… the waitress are all clueless… i won’t ever come back

LIT SITUATION! My boyfriend and I went there for his cousins birthday party last week on a Tuesday!!! To be honest it wasn’t my scene very «urban» to say the least… It was very crowded, like barely any room to dance and there was always a line for the ladies bathroom which ran out of toilet tissue smh! But I was very intoxicated and hey let’s be honest, r&b and hiphop is the best kind of music when you’re drunk, right? Puma from black ink was there so that was pretty cool. Would I go back? yes!!! Just be on your ps&qs (be alert of the crowd). They had 2 bottles of Ciroc and cranberry which I believe we’re 400.00 plus tax. Overall??? It was a really good time!

This place is just strange. The music is decent and the food is meh. However the service is down right outrageous. They claim that they charge $ 50 for bottles during happy hour then when you ask for another after 7pm they refuse. Then when you complain the waitress claims she is pregnant and the staff has threatened to fire her. Even better, after she clears a table with half full drinks on it and we complain again the SAME waitress claims she just had a miscarriage and points to a spot on her pants… Needless to say the good location and decent DJ is entirely negated by the bizarre and terrible servers.

My review of Kasike is mixed and I suspect that this place is more of a hit or miss than a consistent knock out of the park. I came in with fairly low expectations based on the Unilocal reviews and ordinarily would pass on coming here based on them but since this was the location my best friend chose for her birthday brunch and drinks I was determined to enjoy and make the best of it.
First off it’s a Dominican restaurant/​bar so there’s lots of hookah smoke, loud Spanish music blaring and very loud people (its part of their charm) — So if you don’t care for loud music or smoke in your face then this is definitely not a place you would enjoy. The service was irregular but the waitstaff were nice. They were lax in bringing silverware, napkins & water and brunch was served with some of our group not having utensils, which is a negative but they were consistent in bringing our bottomless Kasike punch and mimosas so we definitely got our money’s worth!
I was prepared for the food to be less than stellar but to my surprise, and to the surprise of my friends the dishes were quite delicious. We all ordered different dishes and everyone enjoyed without complaint. I ordered the steak, and despite their overcooking it (I prefer medium rare to well done) the flavor was still fabulous. What I especially liked is that the food was flavorful without being salty. Additionally, the plating was pretty and the portions were large enough to feed a hungry appetite — definitely a win here.
As the place started getting packed, it transitioned from restaurant to bar rather quickly — with an entirely different vibe to it. As a bar, it was a little more chaotic with inconsistent service at best. The wait staff seem to stick around off duty to partake in the partying and a new set of scantily clad girls started working the tables. The music is fun, and the DJ pumped up the volume but I definitely prefer it more as a restaurant than as a bar.
The downside is that despite this being a bit of a party place, people still brought their children here which I think is inappropriate considering the amount of hookah smoke and alcohol consumption going on, but I’m no puritan — they’re not my children. Also, my chair was broken so I almost fell through when I went to sit down.
So my assessment is, Kasike could easily be fun and enjoyable (it was for me and my friends) but I can also see how it can easily not be if you don’t care for some of the elements I just described above. It’s one of those places that has so many interesting variables that you gotta go for yourself and form your own opinion.

Went here for a coworkers birthday, it was amazing! DJs had great song selection, a lot of bachata, salsa, merengue, and hip hop/​rap. Hookahs were moderately priced at $ 15 and the atmosphere was absolutely littt! Lots of thick, beautiful Dominican girls with fat asses everywhere, it was heaven! Definitely will be back for future events and happy hours: D

Went there on a Saturday night with my gf. We were too lazy to take the trip to the city and figured this would be a nice place for a few drinks and dances. First off, the place was incredibly over crowded. We were stuck in a corner for two hours before deciding to just call it a night. Second, there were beer cans, soaked napkins and cups covering EVERY inch of the bar. There was nowhere to stand nor place your drink w. o losing it in the abyss. Lastly, our bartender. Mexican looking guy, clearly did not want to be there. We asked for Heineken, none. Corona? No. Bud? Nope. We had to settle for two cans of coors. We also ordered two shots of fireball. 12 dollars PER shot. It’s fireball! Unreasonable. You get charged ⁷⁄₈ in the city. To top it off, without exaggeration and in full honesty, it took him about 45 minutes to give me my change despite the fact that I asked twice. Was simply too busy I suppose.

Decided to stop by with a friend to get some chicharron de pollo. We sat down and the waitress handed us 2 dirty menus. She came over and took our orders. I asked for passion fruit juice. They didn’t have. I asked for lemonade, they didn’t have. So I asked for another and they didn’t have it. I placed my order and she had to come back 3 times to ask me again my order. She looked like she didn’t want to be there. We waited at least an hour for our food and the restaurant wasn’t packed. She finally came with our food and I wanted lime and she disappeared. I had to ask another waitress for it. I will never return to this place. The waitress was rude and seemed bother she had to serve us,

The only reason I gave it one star is because I can’t submit the review without doing so. They say they open at 4pm I stood out there with a group of people till almost 5pm they couldn’t open the door because the girl with the liquor license wasn’t there unacceptable to leave your patrons standing out in the cold.

Total ripofff. The service is super slow. The charge $ 5 for every coat. Plus the entry charge from $ 10 on a regular night up to $ 50 when have any artist. Plus they announced good prices on drink on certain days and when you go they tell you that the special is no longer avaliable. Also they always have a crappy excuse for their credit card machine never works. Also beware of the servers 8 of 10 never will not give you. Your change back.

Tuesday nights are 60 $ bottle nights and the music is always on point. Only down side is the service behind the bar. My server josue was very inattentive. He took over 20 minutes to acknowledge me and when he finally did he told me and my party we could no longer get our bottle for 60 $ and wanted to charge 140 $ instead. No cool, especially when we watched him take someone else’s bottle order shortly after ours. Only reason I got his name was because I happen to find my receipt in my pants pocket. When I asked him what his name was he pretended not to speak English and walked away smiling.

I went to this place and it has the worst customer service. The girl that served us dranked from our botle, and smoked from our hooka. Ive never been to a place were you have employees serve them self a cup of alcohol that you pay for.

What would have been a good experience quickly changed. My roommate and I went to get a drink and an appetizer. We were charged way more than what we should have been charged for a screwdriver ($ 13)
We had appetizers which were fine price wise. The bartender was coughing into her hands and then without sanitizing her hands went back to preparing drinks and garnishing. Gross!
Also, gratuity was added to a party of two who were sitting at the bar. We were told after the fact that it was cash only! Poor service.
Very disappointed. Would not suggest this place, but if you end up here, watch your bill and the cleanliness.

Really disappointed at the lack of customer service. We walked in and no one greeted us. We had to literally choose where to sit. The ikea tags where not even removed from the glasses. Ordered mofongo since that’s their «specialty» and was surprised out my mind to find the worst and less authentic mofongo of my list so far. Even less better looking joints have better food and customer service. Worst is that the wait for the check was just as long than for the food. Could have walked out of the place and the gum chewing waitress would not have even noticed since she was giving her back to the entrance too engrossed in conversation with the other one to even bother.

I have eaten inside the restaurant and have also ordered takeout. When they first opened up for business, the food was amazing. I had very high hopes for this restaurant, it would’ve been nice to have a top notch Mofongo house right under my nose. However, as time passed, and the more I had food here, the more you saw the lack of effort being put into possibly every single aspect from the business; the food has gotten worse, the attention is lacking from the staff and it seems like if you aren’t buying large doses of liquor they won’t pay any mind to you. The upside is it’s not hard to find the place and also the setting is pretty decent.
