Probably one the best Italian restaurants in the Bronx. Service is great which is a plus for me I came for a late lunch early dinner. But I was with my newborn son It is a great relaxing environment Our appetizer was great and came in a fashionable time. Our main course melted in the mouth

The food in this place is pretty good. I was hesitant at first because it’s so deep in the Bronx but I am so glad we came here. I had mussels in white sauce and they were amazing, my friend ordered the coconut shrimp as an appetizer and it wasn’t the best but it wasn’t bad. For our entrees my friend got the lobster ravioli which was delicious(they add way too much sauce on top) but it was still yummy(I took some from his plate). I ordered the michaelangelos chicken with linguini and it was delicious, my other friend got pizza and she seemed to like it. The place is also beautiful, the one complain I have is the slow service as well as how small and crowded the bathrooms are. I felt claustrophobic in there. Other than that, I definitely recommend this place.

Service was great, the sauce that’s served with the bread is by now the tastiest. My boyfriend then asked for a beer and apparently they couldn’t get through to the bar. What?! Are you serious? Disappointed with the chicken francese the chicken was far from having any lemon flavor, the sauce looked thick and it seems to be made out of egg. The only thing i liked was the potatoes served as a side other.

Calamari, rice balls, sangria was good. Nice space in the back for corporate event. They also have happy hour. I’d say the food is good for Arthur Ave

The food here is very tasty – the rigatoni bolognese and penne vodka are especially good. But the best part of the meal is probably the tomato and oil dipping sauce that comes with the bread. Absolutely delicious. The back covered seating area is very pleasant, although can get a little loud when full.

The food was very good. I had the Buffalo Wing Sauce Pizza and my friend had the Chicken Marsala — both were delicious. Our server was very attentive and we didn’t have to call him once to fill our glasses. We didn’t feel ignored nor hurried. Great food. Great place. Great service! Will definitely go back to try other menu items.

Ive been here many many times and I’m not really sure why I’ve never reviewed this place. It’s deff a hole in the wall, which I LOVE. You walk in thinking you’re going to an ordinary pizza place in the Bronx, but when you walk through the hall way that leads you to the back, you’re in for a surprise. I love the open space and the décor. Pizza is great and the penne ala vodka is my favorite. My only complaint is that the staff kind of takes forever to wait on you and didn’t ask us if we wanted more drinks as we sat with empty glasses. And we were sitting so close to the party next to us that I found myself hearing their conversation at some points and couldn’t focus on my own.

This place is such a hidden gem. Ive been coming here for about three years now, and all have are such wonderful memories. I was introduced to it by some friends on a whim. What makes this place so wonderful is, its versatility. Not only can you kick back and relax with some drinks during happy hour. You can enjoy a quite night with your honey as well. Every Time I’ve come the food was excellent !. The drinks are good, and the prices are just right. I highly suggest this venue. Keep up the good work michealangelo’s Jussjess

Chicken Francese is too oily. The lemon butter sauce, just so-so. Can you believe that the Free bread and dipping sauce are the best thing in my meal? But the environment here is quite good.

I came here with my coworker after a meeting. The food was delicious. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the friendly hostess who informed us in order to get the happy hour special, we would have to sit at the bar. She walked us to this backyard indoor patio which was extremely nice! We were seated right away. However, we were highly disappointed with the service. We had to call our waitress over multiple times to get drinks and to order our food. She obviously didn’t like her job very much. The pizza was absolutely delicious. We shared a vegetarian slice which came with spinach, broccoli, onions and pesto sauce. The pie was perfect for two prowl to share. The only reason why I did not give this place 5 stars is because our waitress was rude. However, I will definitely come back when I am in the area to grab a quick bite to eat!

Been to this place multiple times – before as a Fordham student and now as an alum. This place have not changed one bit. Food is delicious with good portions. Love the indoor patio that we ate at. Completely do not feel like the Bronx. Highly recommend this place!

This place is hard to rate overall, so let me break it dow : Ambience: 5 stars, cute little back patio and comfy seats Service: 0 stars. Literally took 30 minutes each time we wanted a drink or to order food. No exaggeration. Yet they add gratuity to the bill, so there no real motivation for them to change. Food: pizza was amazing 5 stars, the bread was nice too. As other reviewers mentioned, the mussels were inedible, super dry, and seemed very old. 0 stars. Drinks: 0 stars: if you could actually obtain a drink(I just gave up at one point), stick to beer or wine because the mixed drinks had no alcohol in it. So insider tip: sit in the back, order beer and pizza as soon as you walk in and probably order multiple drinks at the same time.

We really enjoyed the pizza here. Great individual coal burned pizza. The crust was delicious. Our kids had the rigatoni bolognase and loved it. The stuffed mushrooms were not our favorite but mainly Nevada we prefer sausage stuffed to crab stuffed. Service was very friendly and I always appreciate it when they are nice to the kids.

Arthur Ave has become a tourist spot and a hangout for Fordham students. This place is no exception however, the food is pretty good and the service is really on point. When you go inside you want to stay and eat they take you to the back that is like a private oasis you’d never expect. Start with the stuffed mushrooms they are pretty damn good. The drinks are pretty good as well, the shark something is awesome. I had the lobster Ravioli and I was not impressed with that. Go with the penne alla vodka. The bread and dipping sauce is by far some of the best. I will be coming back to try more things on the menu.

Whaaaaat was I thinking ?! I actually thought this place was good last week but coming here tonight I am EXTREMELY mind blown and disappointed. Came here with a party of 4 and a child to have a few mojitos. We decided to order some food afterwords. They sat us by the bar and didnt even bother to ask if we would like to move since we ordered food. They brang us a pizza pie with no plates or napkins or anything. We had to call different waiters just to get anything. We were told we had to ask someone else and this person and the next. totally confusing and unorganized place ! Now we wanted a pitcher of mojito and the guy swore it was huge and worth the money it was 36.00 and when we got it it literally filled up 2 and a half cups. Meanwhile they sell mojitos at 10 dollars each. So they basically overcharged us !!! The pitcher was a pointless idea and the bartender was a douche for not telling us the truth. Now the mojitos were alllllll soda and no alcohol. We ordered 6 mojitos and a whole liter of mojito and when we left we were still sober !! We didnt wanna say anything because the whole time we just kept complaining to them and it became so annoying. But we spent 170.00 on garbage ! 20 dollar plate of 5 raviolis ! Not worth it at allllllll !!! We got the buffalo pizza which was the best part but everything else is a freaking scam! The gratituty came out to 24.50 !!! For what ?! A bartender and 10’other waiters running around without a head on their shoulders? For service that was terrible and we had to keep waving our hands and yelling for attention to get drinks and food? This place is not worth it at allll !!! Stay away !!!

This place was ok, but not worth going out of your way in my opinion. Especially if you’re walking there from the 4 train(15 min walk!). There were lots of students there so I suppose most of the people come from Fordham anyway. While the bread they give you is delicious, and the buffalo chicken pizza is good, I can’t rave about the entrees. We tried the Michaelangelo chicken and when the plate arrived(and ok maybe I’m just too used to Carmine’s), there were just 2 small pieces of chicken on a giant plate! It came with a pasta of your choice and we got the fettucine alfredo, but the pasta tasted like pure butter and nothing much more. I ordered the shrimp da frivalo and while it was ok, I wasn’t a fan of them leaving the tails on the shrimp(so I had to cut them off) and again, wasn’t as big as I would expect for $ 23. The service was pretty good, though I would recommend that the restaurant either choose to take the food back to the kitchen to pack, or just leave the container and have me pack it myself. I personally found it a little strange to watch the waiter pack it in front of us. We sort of just stared while he did it. Nothing was wrong with it, it was just odd to us.

Celebrated my son’s 18th birthday with the family and had an amazing dinner. I ordered a PreFix Menu that included delicious appetizers, salad, pasta, chicken, salmon, vegetables, fruits, soda, coffee and water. Everyone absolutely loved the entire menu, service and especially the beautifully decorated environment. Best family dinner ever!

Pros: * Michaelangelo’s Little Italy is one of the few solid choices for satisfactory sit-down meals around the Bronx Botanical Gardens. If you’re commuting by subway from outside the Bronx. better to come here when the weather is nice because it’s a 15 – 20 minute walk from train station and another 15 – 20 to the Gardens. * Lovely outdoor backyard space that is great for large groups or parties. * Huge portions served with fresh ingredients. We were pleased with our dishes of Linguini Vongole(manila clams sautéed with a garlic olive oil and white wine sauce), Michaelangelo’s Seafood Special(with shrimp and squid) and Fettuccini Alfredo Fettuccini Pasta(with chicken, cream sauce finished with parmigiano). With such immense, leftovers turned into another meal! * Heated and soft starter bread with delicious tomato olive oil sauce * Service was great Cons: * They seated us at a big table where water would not stop dripping onto my boyfriend until we resorted to moving tables… hope they fix that ceiling leak! With entrée and coffee total came to $ 36 including tax and tip.
