This was without a doubt the worst experience I’ve ever had with Panera Bread which I usually love. We came in around 1pm on Saturday and the place was packed so we ordered our food 2 sandwiches and a bowl of soup. Since the place was busy the only place where seats were available was the high counter near the front of the store directly by the bakery good. So 35 minutes go by and we still haven’t received our food so I go up and ask about it and it turns out they couldn’t find us so they threw our food away the manager assures me that the team is making it fresh and it should be ready in no time. Now after waiting an additional 20 minutes I just ended up getting back in line and asking for a refund. While the receptionist apologized and refunded me without any problem, I just think its a little ridiculous to wait 50 minutes plus for a grilled cheese sandwich, a panini, and a bowl of tomato soup. And of course when I was leaving the manager was nowhere to be found. Seriously. The show is not Narnia, its fairly small. LEARNYOURFLOOR. And since our food was thrown out our order should have been priority the fact that we had to wait 20 additional minutes was ridiculous. I hope the store can learn from this experience because I can tell you right now nobody would pay 21.06 for a meal and then just leave.

Yum! Happiness! Cobb Salad with eggs, cheese and avocados! Fresh, plentiful, bursting with flavor and just the right amount of dressing, not over saturation! The bread, spot on, joy! So delicious, all the delightful flavors. Great way to begin shopping!

I first encountered Panera when I lived in the south. The location I normally frequented was beautifully maintained, clean, and served great food. They even had a working fireplace that really enhanced the ambiance and artisan pizza that was to die for. Additionally, the staff was extremely friendly, engaging and looked like they enjoyed their job. I’ve tried to fall in love with this location and was actually a fan of it after I moved to NYC. Now, I’m officially done with this Panera. After unfavorable treatment at the hands of unprofessional higher-level staff members, their inability to fulfill simple orders, and poor sanitary conditions in the dining area, I will no longer support this location. Folks, you would boycott this Panera if you tasted and experienced the difference of other Panera markets(i.e. the south). The standards of this shop wouldn’t fly in other places. The Bronx patrons deserve A LOT better than what they are getting.

I use to frequent this place when I worked in Coop City. Very nice staff. Very good tea, coffee, bread, deserts,… It’s like a Starbucks with more stuff. I live that I can make/pour out my own tea/coffee/drinks.

I came in here a few minutes after 11AM. I was gonna meet up with an old coworker about a potential job. I’d really had my eye set on breakfast, however I was told that they stopped the breakfast service at 11AM promptly. I think breakfast everywhere should go until at least noon. And it’s not as if they’re whipping up pancakes. They’re breakfast menu consists of oatmeal, bagels, and other quick things so I was a little annoyed about being forced to have an early lunch. I decided on the«You Pick 2» and got the chicken caesar salad and the mac and cheese. The salad was great and is my usual go to meal there. The mac and cheese was also good and cheesy.

The first time we came here, we did not receive what we ordered even though we were charged. And ut took forever. The 2nd and LAST time we waited Waited half an hour for an eggwhite and avocado sandwich. I used to love Panera, but these rude, slow employees are going to ruin it for them. Never again. They have lost my husband and I as customers. I hope they open their eyes and step it up.

Sunday evenings may not be an opportune time to visit this location. They appeared to be under staffed. Many customers expressed there frustration over the lack of service. To be sure, the assistant manager was actually assembling orders but her efforts weren’t enough to turn things around. We ordered two salads after waiting close to 40 minutes, I found my order laying on the counter. It wasn’t quite what we ordered. My wife got a half salad even though we ordered two full salads. Rather than add to the chaos, we just ate and ran. Won’t be back for awhile, at least never on a Sunday.

You can’t really go wrong with Panera; you’re getting quality, delicious food at reasonable prices. Their pick two deal is great if you’re the kind of eater who likes to a get ‘a little bit of this and a little bit of that’ like I am. Some of my favorite menu items are the steak and white cheddar panini and the creamy tomato soup. I also hear that the broccoli cheddar soup and mac & cheese are great, too. They also offer healthier sandwiches and salads if you’re watching your calorie intake. There are meal options for just about anyone, including kids. This location also has plenty of seating. The downside is that if you come during high traffic times the lines can get pretty long. But even then you’ll still receive your food in a timely manner. This place has a Starbucks-esque café feel, with people studying or working at tables, friends catching up, or people grabbing a bite for their kids after a long day of shopping. As far as food options in the area, Panera is a healthier and definitely tastier alternative to the fast food joints and food court options.

Love the food, hate the looks of misery coming from the employees. The girl taking our order(says Victoria on my receipt) looked like she would rather be just about ANYPLACE else but at work. Attitude in her voice, just not pleasant or friendly at all. Sorry to bother you at work Miss. The usual employee banter, yelling from across the room about who knows what, dirty tables everywhere. Ugh. Before we left we did see someone cleaning up but I think Victoria’s negative attitude set the tone. I’m torn, I love the place but hate the unwelcome atmosphere. Boo. Hoo…

Came here a week ago for the first time on a Saturday around 3. There is always a line at any Panera and this was about the same & moved quickly. There was a lot of ppl there w/computers(like every Panera and Starbucks cause of that good olé’ free wifi) but we still got a seats. I always get the pick 2 deal. I switch it up between pannini & salad & soup. Mmm that broccoli cheddar in that bread bowl is bangin’ btw(don’t be decieved cause it’s soup. those are a lot calories honey). Anyway this visit, I had the turkey avocodo club which is normally cold but she let me make it hot and choose the bread(thanks boo) w/the bbq chicken salad. Both were good. So nice to have this in that location along w/some other places that opened up in Bay Plaza. I’ve dined at the Panera in Queens(Woodhaven blvd) for the most part and I thought it was awesome they give you a # here to place on your table and bring your food(Queens you are slackin’ there)! Overall, we had a pleasant experience here and will definitly come back. In reference to the review about not wanting to throw out their dishes to get near other ppl’s.This is a Panera standard they do everywhere, not just here. Also, in my humble opinion I rather eat on a real plate with real silverware over plastic/styrofoam any day. Small things like this make a difference in comparison to other«fast food» places. I would suggest going to a café or other place if you want someone to pick up your dishes for you(where you would tip them). Highly doubt you will get Ebola because you are placing a plate and silverware in a containter with others. I mean unless you plan on rubbing these other plates all over your body once you place yours down?!

I’ve alway felt relaxed at any Panera. It’s like a Starbucks but more choices. I love the ‘pick two’ deal. I always get the bowl of tomato soup(upgrade to a bred bowl) with a salad or the pest pasta. You can also get a dessert for a upgrade too. After you place your order they give you a number and you go sit down. Someone will bring your food to you. Once you are done eating you bring your dishes near the garbage. You desperate the forks from your bowls also throw out your napkins. All in separate box. That’s the only thing I dislike about Panera. I wouldn’t mind giving a tip for someone to clean up instead of me going near someone’s else dirty dishes. But I still like the food.

Is it possible to give no stars? Went there to get a breakfast sandwich, AVOCADO(and I’m stressing on the avocado) egg whites and spinach. Should have checked my sandwich then and there because when I got home, the was no avocado in the AVOCADO, egg whites and spinach sandwich. but instead a slice of tomato(which I’m allergic to). If they didn’t have the avocado, tell me and let me decide if still want the sandwich, don’t make the decision for me!

So I’ve been here in the past when it first opened and it was great but now the line is out the door and barely moves and their whole pastry shelf is empty their back cooking station looks a mess they didn’t bother to ask if I had my panara rewards card and the drinks area where the condiments are is a complete disaster and when I asked for milk since the container was empty the woman just rolled her eyes at me she didn’t even bother washing it oh and to top it off she uses the soda machine water to wash her hands and then picks up someone’s food to bring to their table like are you kidding me I never write nasty reviews but who even manages this place even the floor is dirty just gross can’t wait to see how my food turns out if they ever bring it to the table …

I came here with my best friend last weekend. We come about once a month but this is the first time I noticed an old man sitting alone, talking to himself. The man proceeded to urinate on the booth seat where he was sitting, and then got up and left. As you can imagine, he left the area very wet. We quickly alerted Victoria, the employee who was delivering food to the tables. She replied«Oh, he did? Ok.» She was curiously unmoved by the situation. Me and the bff were horrified, but wait, there’s more… Victoria comes back with a rag– no gloves on– and proceeds to wipe the urine off the seat. Then, she uses the same rag to wipe down the table top. The bff gagged, I made the sign of the cross and a lady at a nearby table watched in disgust. After«cleaning» Victoria goes straight to the condiments section– she did not wash her hands, didn’t pass go, didn’t collect $ 200, and then she grabbed napkins which she then used to dry off the table and seat. The bestie and I tried to eavesdrop as the woman who was watching in disgust called Victoria over and explained to her that she could not wipe pee from the seat to the table. We then watch as Victoria continues to serve food without missing a beat. We told the manager on our way out. To our surprise, she wasn’t at all surprised by the situation either! She said the old man came there all the time and there was nothing she could do because when she tries approaching him, he yells. She also told us that Victoria was new and that she’s spoken to her about her cleaning habits before. Panera, I love you– but get your ish together. Everything about that situation was unacceptable. I’m not sure which one was worse– the man peeing, or the way the staff and management handled it.

¾ stars. I hate giving in to the corporate food devils, but I did like my experience here. However the prices are stupidly high! Loved the BBQ salad. The BBQ vinaigrette is truly good and something I have never had before. I would go back to get it again. TomAto soup was just ok. This Panera offers a lot of space and outlets for people to bring their laptops and do work. I originally just went here to study, but I had to buy food to do so. I would come back here to work and eat.
