First I would like to say some positive things about salsa con Fuego. The two ladies in the front were very polite and professional and warm in the greetings. I decided to have my Fiancé Birthday dinner here. One you can’t check in until the entire party arrives, so everyone I invited was stuck in traffic as the reservation was set for 6:30pm and the had this beautiful screen that have shout outs to the persons birthday but because myself along with my fiancé and blind with hearing disability were only there they took his name down and said it was because the entire party didn’t show up at 6:30pm. Then the music was too loud. Don’t get me wrong I understand this a bar, restaurant, and lounge but the waiter couldn’t hear me nor could I hear him or anyone else at the table that was trying to speak and ask questions. I even asked if they could lower the music a smidge not too much because again I understand it’s a lounge and bar but because it was hurting my disabled child’s ear and making her hearing aids bother they said they would not accommodate me… amazing. the personalized party menu is expensive 39.00 per person and the food isn’t even that good the totonoes were good and Yuca fries and the pastelon, and shrimp was good but the rest of the food esp the friend chicken chunks. fucking nasty. I had asked if my daughters food could come out first before everyone else and waiter said no that everyone had to be at the table in order to even put a order in. .I understand it was R&B night but the DJ could of thrown in a few other songs in between. When I finally left it took 2hrs for my hearing to come back to normal and I don’t have a heating disability.

I’ve heard a lot of this place so I decided to check it out. Waiting time for a table wasn’t too bad. The service was great. The food is surprisingly amazing.(I haven’t been to many club/lounges with great food.) I love that it turns into a club at a certain time. The music was on point!

Went there for Comedy night. The place was big and beautiful. I loved where they have the DJ positioned. The sound for the comedy was a bit off for folks in the back. Service was fast and good. The food was meh… regular. Nothing to write to Puerto Rico about. The food taste pretty similar to Don Coqui. Im aware they were affiiated. I had the red sangria(free with check in) and it was nothing special. My mojito lacked the mint taste. Overall experience was ok. Comedy show was amazing.

So my husband and I were there last night for dinner. The ambience is good; mostly people in their 30s. They had a good variety of music and especially 80s music which I enjoyed. The food was a bit mediocre and pricey. I had salmon which looked like it came from a pre packed freezer pack.

I went yesterday with my cousin and sister for my sisters birthday… it also was comedy was our first time going. The place is beautiful… the hostess and servers were great. i love that they had a happy birthday marquee on the big screen for my sister… the only problem was that #1.how was a 4 yr old child allowed into the comedy show with his parents and i was carded at the door… im confused #2 i didnt really like the food i ordered. i orderd the hot wings and mac&cheese…there wasnt much flavor… i shouldn’t have to use alot of salt on my food… whatever my cousin and sister ordered was good. they didnt have any complaints… so i would suggest the cook or chef use more seasoning in the mac&cheese…overall.the ambiance was nice and the comedians were very entertaining. i will def go again

Overrated and overcrowded restaurant, the food quality is not different than what you get at a regular cuchifrito. If even the ambiance were great it might justify the price but that is also disappointing and lacking to say the least. Definitely would not go back. P. S. Parking is horrific

My fiancé and I had dinner at Salsa con Fuego on a Wednesday night. FACILITY I found the restaurant very nice. The décor reminds me of an old school sophisticated salsa club. There are purple and oranges hues and murals of Tito Puento, Marc Anthony, and Celia Cruz. The space is huge. So unlike a Soho restaurant, personal space is honored. The bathroom could have been better. The toilets flush automatically, yet some were dirty. SERVICE Ishmael was our server. He gave us flush igh quality service. He pulled the table for us. He answered our questions with patience and friendliness. He also told us what each food was. I noticed that the hostess had headphones on when we left so she didnt see or hear us leave and didn’t say any farewells. FOOD The food was average. We had the Wednesday pre fixe menu for $ 25. You can’t beat the price! The empanadas and paella were delicious. The other items were average. I wish they were more flavorful.

Salsa Con Fuego. Who knew there were cute spots in The Bronx? Lol I came here for my stepdads birthday(party of 4) and it was a pretty good time. The music was awesome and the décor was nice. As far as food and drinks, meh. It was okay. I had the pork mofongo and the plantains were really hard and dry :-/the pork itself was okay I guess. Drinks tasted like cough syrup with seltzer water. Although we were celebrating a birthday, we didn’t ask the waiter for any bday stuff/special treatment and yet somehow they brought out a cake/flan which of course we had to pay for. Not sure how that works out but whatever.

No cover, great music and massive drinks… What’s not to love! The set up is a bit weird in that half of the venue is indeed a restaurant that operates until 2. The party keeps going til 4. I tried a variety of their drinks… The strawberry daiquiri wasn’t overwhelmingly sugary like most can be, the Mojitos are freshly made with a good amount of crushed mint, they also have a drink that is their signature coquito mixed with Hennessey. That was definitely interesting. We had a lot of fun despite some of the more snobby patrons. Ps men are required to wear shoes, no loafers/boots/sneakers.

I have only been to Salsa on Fridays. If you like live shows and you love dancing, you definitely have to go on a Friday Night. They have a different artist on Stage EVERY Friday, FORFREE! So you basically have nothing to lose if you don’t like the place and want to leave as soon as you enter(tbh, I DOUBTIT). Drinks are good. Atmosphere is good. Not expensive. See for yourself and go on a Friday night.

Went to Salsa Con Fuego for a friend’s birthday at 8pm February 2015. I arrived and noticed they had a mandatory coat check for patrons entering after 8. Since I arrived just a few minutes after 8 I was forced to pay to check my coat in while we see other people coming in and out with their coats and people sitting at the bar with their coats. After going back and forth with security and their foolishness I attempted to go to the bar but it was beyond crowded. It really looked people were swarming for government cheese and on top of that there were only 2.5(One simply watched the other two until you yelled at him to make you something) Bartenders to man an Olympic sized Bar, I mean really tho??? The music was excessively loud and by the time I finally got a girl’s attention to get a drink she cops an attitude and starts moving slower. After getting my drinks homegirl got one of my drinks wrong and tried to overcharge me like I don’t read my bill. This is where the .5 guy steps in gets chewed out by me, fixes the bill, and I roll my eyes at the chick that really think she gonna get a tip after coming out her face… Long story short the place reminded me of a Quinceanera down to the décor, the lighting, and loud music and the bar area was just a rap video gone wrong. Only positive was the 2 for 1 special but that’s if they got the order right. The food was ehh, no bragging rights and way overpriced. I would definitely not do a repeat visit here, I rather go to Sazon for overpriced Spanish food, atleast I’ll be able to keep my coat and get to the bar!

I came here for my cousins birthday and we had a great time. We were welcomed by the hostess and said we had to wait a few minutes. I did not mind the wait because the atmosphere was incredible. It was so vibrant and the light fixtures were so trendy. They had red booths and a big screen in the middle of the restaurant which was so beautiful. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. You receive a free drink of sangria, beer or wine with check in. I had the pork chops and they were so good! I highly recommend it! We also had the appetizer sampler which was good. The music was nice and they played all our Puerto Rican classics! The only complaints i have was my cousins steak was too rare and they have bad parking. Other then that I enjoyed myself and I recommend it.

I had a blast here! I’m usually a small-bar type of person, so I was a little hesitant about this place. But being that it was my friend’s birthday celebration and she came to mine, it was only right I returned the favor– And I’m very glad I did. Let me start by saying the coat check was free(huge plus.) Anyway, this place is huge! It also has really nice décor. My friends and I stayed by the front bar which was a pretty good spot. Messiah was performing when I went and luckily, it wasn’t too crowded. I was able to use my Unilocal offer(free sangria, wine or beer when you check in) and it worked– I got a free sangria. The drinks here are a little pricey, but they aren’t something you wouldn’t expect from a place like this. They have a $ 20 minimum on cards which led me to buy two drinks at the same time. The vibe here was great and so was the music. I didn’t expect to have so much fun here but I did. I will definitely be returning here when I can.

We came Jan. 1, 2016 for the«FREE» Jaheim performance and experienced the worst customer service from the manager at Salsa Con Fuego. My sister made a reservation @5pm and we arrived to be seated when the waiter asked if we plan to do bottle service if we stayed until the performance after buying food and drinks now. My sister was clearly upset because whomever took her reservation did not explain that. The manager came over and when we explained the confusion he told us he does not want our business and he will not be serving us. I refuse to be disrespected to spend my hardworking $$, so I told my sisters I’m leaving. If you intend to patron their venue for an event, ensure that you find out their stipulations before attending. We ended up spending $ 300 that SCF could have received BUT instead had wonderful food and service at Don Conqui in White Plains they are no longer affiliated with.

I really liked this place!!! I went for a friends bday and wasn’t expecting much because I didn’t know what to expect. when I walked in it was PACKED. I loved that they had free coat check because seriously after that I was sold. Most places don’t have free coat check even though it’s like where are people going to leave their jackets?! While it was heavy on Spanish music and I’m not really into a lot of just Spanish music it was expected(duh it’s a Spanish club). That was the only thing that I wish was different. that the music was more diverse all over. As the night continued they did introduce more varieties of music and it was great. We ordered(good) food, drinks and hookah! You can get everything you need for a good night there and I left with an excellent experience. I’m picky so that’s saying a lot. I was also able to use my Unilocal check in for a free sangria! Loved it will be back.

I don’t know why they only have 3 stars but I love this place. After seeing and ad on fb about this place I decided to look them up and liked what I saw. I made Reservations to come here for my birthday which was a Tuesday and I have no regrets. Valet was too expensive, 20 dollars to be exact. But there’s a parking lot for 11 dollars up the street to the left with no time limit. Seating was very fast and the server came right away which was a plus. She was very bubbly and smiley which was also a plus. Our orders came nice and quick. The other best part of this place was the comedy while eating. I don’t know if it’s comedy on all Tuesday’s but it was great. I loved the whole experience of dining and laughing having a great time. I am DEFINITELY coming back here!
