Very good pizza and choices. The crust is Delisious! Tasty and varieties of pizza. Nice selection of cold beverages. Perfect location, step right off the 1 or 2 bus and there you are.

I was over by Sorrento yesterday, and I had really nice slice of Sicilian, it had the perfect combination of sauce and cheese crust and in the old school New York Pizzeria style, and I had few those garlic nuts, I know the are so bad for me but I love em, then watched a little of the Yankee game, fantastic atmosphere over there, smiley little kids, and parents, enjoying their pizza, –I’ll be back for some more of those garlic nuts and another Sicilian corner,

Sorrento’s is good if you’re in the area and looking for a pizza option. I would eat here again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to seek it out. The Sicilian slice is pretty good.

I eat here every week… Slices are very old school… Crunchy Crust, Thin cheese slices… by there are good… Their chicken rolls are VERY good as well… No complaints what so ever! If you are driving there… prepare yourself for NOPARKING… but if you’re on foot… getting off the bus(which the 1&2 bus stops right in front) or ordering out… you’ll be satisfied!

I love their pizza! It’s hard to find a decent pizza place in the Bronx that’s reasonably priced and not lacking in quality. I usually get a large pie with about 4 toppings and that comes out to $ 20. Delivery is pretty fast too. Overall it’s a great neighborhood pizza place

It’s getting harder and harder to find truly great pizza in New York, but Sorrento’s is always solid. If you’re looking for knock-your-socks-off, out of this world pizza, this probably isn’t going to do the trick. If you want a solid pie that will always be good, this is it. I lived in kingsbridge for 5 years and Sorrentos never let me down. If anything, their pizza improved after the management change. Earlier reviews seem to disagree… perhaps I caught them at the end of a tailspin. Not sure. Since 2007, I’ve found their pizza to be above average in taste and freshness. They have an italian sub and fettucini alfredo which are both excellent as well. If I’m getting delivery, I prefer Sorrento’s over nearly anywhere else. They’re quick and the pizza is always still fresh. While other options closer to the train might have a better slice if you’re dropping in, their delivery could take forever and by the time you get the pie it’s all soggy. If I’m ordering in and sitting on my duff playing video games until the pizza arrives, I’m going with Sorrento’s.

I’ve been going to Sorrento’s since I was a kid, and my father and his brother’s have been eating there since they were kids. It’s changed hands several times but it is still the best pizza in the neighborhood in my opinion. My favorite thing to eat there, hands down, is the pesto slice. It’s a thin crust pizza with pesto instead of red sauce, real mozzarella medallions melted on top and thin tomato slices finishing it off. The Sicilian pizza is also great here, and the penne with vodka sauce is delicious. The regular slice is good, this crust with a semi-sweet sauce and nice cheese coverage. I like Sorrento’s. I wish the pesto slice were cheaper! The new interior is quite nice as well, but they should redo the bathroom.

Just moved across the street, not bad, not good either. Ordered 2 slices and ate them there, not good. Ordered a pie while working on the apartment, it was a lot better. The garlic bread sucked though. Will give them a few more shots.

Back in the mid-90s when I was still a little kid we used to order from this place all the time. Actually, now that I think about it we probably ordered from a pizza place that inhabited the same spot, and may have even had the same name. But something has seriously changed, because I am so not a fan now. When I was a kid we used to order a special they had just about every Friday. It was called the belly buster, 14 slices of gooey goodness that could feed just about any family. They weren’t the biggest slices, but they didn’t have to be, and the pizza was certainly bigger than any large pie in the area. The size did not kill the quality, and it was a real treat.(I’m not going into how many slices I would try to pack away as an 8 year old.) Unfortunately today there is no belly buster, and if there was I certainly would not want it. The pizza was not very good, maybe too thick, and not burnt but still overdone. The crust at the end of the slice was very small, but razor sharp when you bit into it. Pain is not what I look for in a slice. I couldn’t find any char on the bottom, but periodically I would get the very distinct taste of burnt pizza while eating. Maybe they were burning something and the smell just came my way, or maybe they need to clean the oven. Either way, it was not appetizing and the search for whatever it was that I was tasting ended up being a distraction. Speaking of which, is there a way to get that char taste all the way up in the cheese? Because after awhile I could swear that it was coming from there. Maybe placing a burnt slice on top of the one I ended up eating would do it. Hmm, the chicken on their specialty slices is also a little funky. Besides that I was a bit uncomfortable there. There were some kids from the public school a block away taking up one table, and a few elderly folks, but it was still mostly empty. Which is unfortunate because it is bigger than a lot of the local places, but no one seems to go there. Also, I couldn’t find Parmesan(don’t care for that spelling) cheese anywhere. Could I have asked the staff? Probably, but they really made me feel awkward. I walked in and after 3 seconds, while I’m clearly trying to see what they have in the display case, I basically get a «What do ya’ what?» Do I have a sign on my face that says«I already know what I’m going to order, but I’ll just stand here for an hour until you force it out of me»? It’s not some state secret, I’ll let you know soon enough. I’m just making up my mind so don’t treat it like a red wire-blue wire situation. You know new customers might want to see what looks good, maybe check out the case with the specialty slices. They certainly don’t want to feel like their presence is unwelcome or an annoyance to the staff. It’s lucky to get 2 stars, but 1 is too harsh.

**** Great pizza. Great everything. It may not look like much, but the pizza and meals are great. This is still one of my favorite places in NYC. Hang out for a lot of locals with friendly service. Has my wife’s favorite Pasta Fagioli. ***** So that was my original 5-star review until our most beloved pizza place of 4 years underwent new management and they changed the pizza and Pasta Fagioli and about everything else. The pizza is just average now and nobody in the neighborhood seems to happy about it, but no change back as of yet. Grrrrr.

An amazing, amazing pizza place. Not only do they have very good pizza, but I’m always surprised how affordable it is for a good-sized pie and they are also real nice guys. I come in there with my uncle who is mentally retarted and they’re always real kind and understanding about it. Their pizza is good and they’re a real, quality neighborhood business. What could be better. ..
