Ordered a pizette from the bar to go, which was delicious! However, somehow the server thought that a pizza should be packaged standing up in a mini shopping bag. As a result, when I got home, the sliced pizette had collected at the bottom of the carton with slices stuck together and toppings scattered throughout the box. For $ 13, seems the restaurant should know how to do takeaway better. I can only imagine how good it could have been if presented appropriately. Flatbread with spicy sausage, fresh ricotta and garlicky broccoli rabe… tasty.

I had dinner here last night and was seriously underwhelmed. I ordered the Asian salmon dish with udon noodles which had an Asian flare and was the most underseasoned dish I have ever eaten and had three noodles in it. My friend got the chicken scarpiello and it had way too much oregano and she could barely eat it was so spicy. The service was inadequate at best. The only good thing was bumping into an old friend and the guy on the piano. This place used to be decent but at the prices they are charging, go down the street to Scalini Oseteria where the food and service are actually worth it.

Underhill’s Crossing made for a great Mother’s Day Brunch. The meal was paced well and not rushed at all. The drinks were good and a nice selection of muffins and bagels were brought for the table. The short ribs appetizer was delicious. The soft shell crab wasn’t the greatest but I shared with everyone else at the table. The benedict and milanese were both very good. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The décor is upscale and warm. The downside was that they advertised a much lower prices Mother’s Day Brunch special menu on the website.

Another fantastic meal at Underlhills. We visit the area a few times a year and it has always been wonderful. Last night, another night of great food and perfect service. Shared a decadently dressed perfect caesar salad and perfectly charred Hanger steak frittes. Followed by one of the best desserts of a lifetime — the not to be missed bag of chocolate — dark chocolate carrier of mouse and berries. And we always appreciate great service in which our water glass is always half full, without being intrusive, and of course crumb service between entrée and dessert. It’s a very well run restaurant. Oh and the delightful and gracious piano man!

This review is for the great Sunday brunch we had a few weeks ago, we had oysters for appetizers I had the Cobb Salad and Julie had steak and eggs. everything was exactly as we ordered and the food was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The service was prompt and friendly. I would go back and try dinner.

Underhills Crossing is generally a busy restaurant, primarily because of the location and ambiance. if you are looking for a quiet restaurant, this is not the one. On Friday and Saturday nights the bar is very busy and there is a piano player so if you want a quiet table you better sit in the back of the restaurant. The service and décor are excellent in fact one of the better looking restaurants in Westchester. The food is generally excellent as well although there are some items I don’t order. I think they have an excellent raw bar, very good salads and one of the best sirloin steaks around. The help is great and the management couldn’t be nicer. All in all the restaurants only suffers from it’s own success and popularity.

Uh oh, I hate to say, six years later the place is not as good as it once was. We were there on Saturday night 4⁄29 and it was packed! There was a large birthday party in the dining room(no separate party room) and it was loud. We wonder why they accept large parties on weekend nights when tables turn faster with smaller parties. But the real disappointment was the food. The veal milanese was not good. The short ribs where dry, no bone, not enough sauce. The service was slow… took a long time to refill beers. Needs some work on food, service, and atmosphere(sound level). Oh and it is quite expensive, NYC prices in Bronxville, but not NYC level of quality.

We went for the prix fix menu and he choices were very good. The waiter was able to describe the dishes and offer his opinions. The food was excellent, and the service was great too. They checked in quite a bit — even introducing themselves when they heard it was our first time here. It was a bit of an upscale place — not a place to wear shorts and a T-shirt, but a place to look nice. The piano player added a nice touch to the ambiance. Restaurant was nice and clean, too.

Underhill a crossing is a very nice quaint restaurant. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Tim is our personal favorite. The manager walks from table to table to make sure everyone is happy with their food and having a nice time. I recommend the Fish Tacos & Short Rib.

Bear with me as I give you a little background on this evening. Our original choice of restaurant wasn’t going to work out since we needed to be in Van Cortlandt Manor by 9:30 pm and we really hadn’t thought to make reservations ahead of time. Well that worked out to our advantage. I looked at friends check-in to see where we could go that would be in that northern direction and so we ended up in Bronxville. We had parked and although I really feel Bronxville needs to get with the times and upgrade their meters parking and paying for parking wasn’t that difficult. As we were walking to the restaurant a friend had checked into in the past, we passed by this restaurant that looked delightful from the outside and was happening inside. The owner approached us and told us that although it was restaurant week this evening the offerings would be a la carte. Ok, fair warning but we decided to look at the menu. Immediately various items on the menu caught my eye so I knew I would be satisfied eating here. We waited for about 20 – 30 minutes for a table and we had a drink at the bar while we waited. Not only was the staff friendly but also the patrons. Now as for the food: We ordered the tuna tartare and the heirloom tomato salad, but I could have easily ordered about 6 other items from the starter and garden options. The heirloom tomato was so refreshing and deliciously seasoned. The tuna tartare was delicious but I personally feel it could have used a pinch more salt, then again that is my own taste as I like it on the saltier side. For dinner my partner got the short ribs and I picked the duck breast. Again I could have easily picked about 3 – 4 other entrees but if the menu has duck that is usually my go-to dish. The duck was quite savory with a hint of sweetness. I did try my partners short ribs but I admit that although it was good the flavor combination did clash with my personal dish as again mine was had a hint of sweetness. So I can’t really speak much about her dish, I really enjoyed mine. We sat next to a delightful couple who seem to come here often and enjoy it everytime. We were treated to soft pop and jazz thanks to the piano man. The gentleman next to us and I danced in our seats and enjoyed our night. Overall I wish I could have stayed longer, and tried more of their dishes. If I ever find myself in these necks of the woods I’m definitely making a stop there again.

What a great evening … I was so fortunate to be invited this evening to the election party event at Steve Palm’s restaurant. The food was outstanding, wine was enjoyable and the atmosphere electric ! Steve is a really respected propriétaire d’un restaurant. His staff is professional and experienced, they all work so well together . I would recommend this restaurant as well as for catering. They really know what they are doing. Thank you this has been a great evening !

Wonderful Friday night dinner for two. We had a 7pm reservation and was seated immediately. We started out our evening with Pineapple infused vodka, which was very good and refreshing. The owner Steve Palm, came to our table and greeted us warmly. He recommended we try a few appetizers. They were all good, especially the Roasted Tomato soup. Our entre was umm umm good, my husband had the Bronzini w/asparagus, and I had the Pork Chops w/cherry peppers and potato. Our food was great. The service was great, the atmosphere was nice. I have and will continue to highly recommend Underhill Crossing… Diamond & Ingrid

Super Bravo! Underhills Crossing makes another touchdown! As an adoring fan of this wonderful and lovely bistro, I have a steady sense of what will be delivered for dinner, brunch, tea service and special occasion parties. So, when considering where to watch the Super Bowl this year, Underhills, I must admit, was not the first place to come to mind. An unmistakable and signature mood is created when one walks through the doors of Underhills. This restaurant is synonymous with 5-star luxury food and elegance. The intoxicating mix of aromatic eats wafting through the air, while the scent of fresh flowers greet every guest at their table – all while hearing the delicate sound of the soft keys of the piano, whisk you away to an experience of both enjoyment and relaxation. Underhills has a patent on this experience – and the owner and staff makes sure of it! With this charming image I have in my mind of my favorite bistro in Bronxville, I thought to myself, how on earth will Underhills create a mood for a Super Bowl crowd – a crowd of 6, for my particular party that night! I didn’t flip a coin, I decided to go for it, based on my experience with reliability of consistency over the past 3-years! Not only did Underhills deliver on creating a mood for football fans, they offered a special Super Bowl menu featuring the classic football favorites to compliment the atmosphere! The Super Bowl menu included chili, sliders, mac ‘n cheese, short ribs and double fudge brownies just to name a few! Not every guest was there to watch the Super Bowl, but the manager, Danny, was a master of making both crowds of fans and loyal Sunday night diners feel as if that night was created just for them and their guests. Underhills brought their A-game, pun intended, for Super Bowl night!

Located smack middle of a busy main street in Bronxville, it’s easy to locate and get to, though parking is another story… somehow we were very lucky this day! We got there for an early dinner and no reservation but the hostess still happily sat us at a table near the front row of window panel wall. The space is very small and cozy with a very intimate/romantic feel. It probably can get obnoxiously loud in the since they seem to have a bar crowd as well but for a Friday night it wasn’t too bad. Our server Jesus was so great and attentive just enough to make us feel welcomed and looked after. Menu is heavily Asian influenced with French/Italian influences and technique mixed in. Started the meal with the Tuna tartare. Very nice balance of flavor and the fish was insanely fresh and had a very nice texture to it. Next we had the beet salad and the heirloom tomato salad with burrata both again seasoned just enough and the ingredients were all very fresh. Entrees were the butternut squash raviolis in brown butter and the Miso glazed salmon steak. The butternut squash raviolis has a great texture and the ravioli itself was very thin and a perfect ratio to the delicate squash. The salmon was sadly a huge disappointment though. The miso glaze usually has a sweetness to it and that wasn’t there, the udon noodles were not udon noodles but some sad rendition of a soba noodle or an overcooked linguine. The broth the entire thing was drowned in was flavorless as well. They did cook the salmon perfectly to the temperature I wanted but that was the positive about this dish. Please revamp this dish chef. Desserts were good however. Their vanilla bean cheesecake was insanely creamy and delicious. Their rhubarb crumble was way too heavy on the strawberries… seriously why can’t places just make a straight up rhubarb crumble/pie?! Still the crumble had good texture and enough sweetness to balance the dish out. Looking forward to my next meal here soon!
