Closed. Inside is barren. So sad. No more Doris. Heard she opened a new place back in Chinatown called China King.

I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews of this place. It’s a fine, cheaper than most, Americanized Chinese food takeout/delivery place. They deliver until 2am. I’m not expecting a phenomenal meal; I’ve had many late night munchies satisfied by them. Always on time(usually much earlier than estimated delivery time), always hot, and consistent. The deliverymen, also, were always very friendly.

I highly recommend the rice cakes and boiled dumplings. The scallion pancakes are also excellent. This is without a doubt the most authentic Chinese food in the area.

I haven’t eaten here in a little while but the scallion pancakes are awesome as well as the Mongolian Beef dish. Get those two for sure. Throw in some Crab Rangoon. Doris is a great owner. When they were in Chinatown. incredible… but since moving it has slipped in standards.

First time visit, definitely will come back again! My husband and me went to order the take out from this place, the place is clean, great customer service, the server asked us if we would like to get sodas on the house while we waiting, that’s such a great way to take a good care of the customers! We ordered the hot and sour soup, General Gao’s Chicken, their homemade Scallions Pie, and the Beef with Scallions, and also we got the large Chicken Lo Mein for free with our orders. The food served very quick. After we drove 15 minutes back home, we enjoyed the fresh and hot dinner, and the foods were very delicious.

Live in the area and had driven and walked by dozens of times. Finally gave it a try. I don’t mind hole-in-the-wall style, especially for chinese takeout. But this place didn’t quite work for me. We ordered hot & sour soup and two dishes. The soup was by far the weakest. It had quite an odd texture — as if someone decided it wasn’t thick enough, so poured in half a cup of corn starch. Plenty thick then but ugh… it was almost gelatinous. Not appetizing. One member of our party put hers aside after two spoonfulls. I toughed it out, but eating the vegetables only(they were actually just fine) and leaving the broth(such as it was). Rare the our household throws away food, but down the drain this went. The mains were much better. We were surprised by what was and wasn’t on the menu — plenty of standards, but no black bean sauce(one of our favorites), and when we ordered string beans, we learned they were out of those. Well, we found two dishes we liked and both were served hot, with generous portions of vegetables(our preference) but also enough protein that no one could complain of being cheated on that front. Tasty. Portion size was average — not the oversized amount one might expect from a hole-in-the-wall place trying to compete on quantity. Our biggest problem was using the voucher we had bought. We bought it about 7 months ago, but it says«never expires» so we didn’t expect any problem redeeming it. We expected wrong. Restaurant staff called the manager who talked our ear off with various inconsistent explanations and excuses — she never agreed to do , oh wait, she did it only for a month. Which is it?! Best interpretation is that she didn’t read the contract she signed. A good chinese take-out should be more reliable. Though we liked our mains, the noxious soup really turned us off. Combine that with the attitude towards their own voucher, which they and their marketing partner sold us at arms length, and we probably won’t be back despite the convenience.

ordered an hour and forty min ago, still no sign of driver. it was ordered at 10:20pm on a sunday, so i cant imagine it being very busy, and i live less than a mile away. not looking good. edit its now been 2 hours and no one has showed up. i just called and there is no answer. i think they just decided not to make it. my order was just a small one. i am now driving over there to give them a piece of my mind.

I very, very rarely do reviews on here, but I was so disgusted with the food that I felt like I need to. The delivery, even though I live only 20 min away at most, took an hour and 15 minutes from the time I ordered. Needless to say I was starving and ready to year in, but knew after the first bite I’d be extremely disappointed. EVERYTHING(sweet and sour chicken, pork fried rice, crab Rangoon and scallion pancakes) was disgusting, flavorless, and cold I will never get food from here again.

Same as before but it appears they never reopened after this summer. I’m almost certain they are closed.

Don’t expect to get your food on time if you chose delivery. But to their credit, their udon noodles and crab rangoons are solid and reasonably priced for the quantity they give. At the moment 25 minutes late. I really hope food is still at least warm when it does arrive… 45 minutes late. Still no food. Food finally arrived. One of the orders was tepid-warm. Crab rangoons were about room-temperature. Oh, and I should mention that one of the orders was completely wrong and now I have to wait again for that to arrive. I’m done with this place. Update: Scratch what I said about one of the orders(sesame beef combo) being tepid-warm. It was so room-temperature at-best that the sauce had actually gelatinized and I had to microwave it. beef is chewy and not tender at all, nor is the skin crispy. Seriously, you can do better elsewhere.

After YEARS of driving past this place, my husband & I finally ordered from here on Christmas Eve. Since the reviews all said delivery takes a long time, we decided to pickup our food. First thing: the inside of this place is not nice. It has a faintly unpleasant odor and while there are some tables, it is definitely a take-out place. The guy who took our order on the phone and who talked to us when we were there was very pleasant. We had to wait a few minutes, but we had gotten there a bit early. Once our food was ready, we we went home to stuff ourselves. The Peking Ravioli(10 for less than $ 7? Nice!) were a nice size, with a doughy outside and a nice, flavorful inside. I was not a big fan of the ginger dipping sauce(I prefer a scallion-based one), but that’s personal preference. We both got Combination Plates, as they are such a good value. I went with Chicken with Broccoli(and added carrots) and my husband went with Chicken with Cashews. Both had way less chicken than veggie, and his had way more veggies than other places tend to do. The sauce on mine was VERY watery and didn’t have as much flavor as I like. Both had, of course, a ridiculously huge amount of pork fried rice. My husband ate most of it between 2 meals. The boneless spare ribs were very fatty and he said the egg roll was so-so. He said he would probably order from here again, but I want to try some other places first. King Fung Garden in Chinatown is supposed to be fantastic. I just wish this take-out location lived up to the original… If you’re looking for quick, cheap, typical Chinese take-out, this is the place.

1. Crab Rangoons are amazing. Not too greasy, not too chewy. 2. If you like Wontons that are on the flour-y side then you’ll like these, but in my chicken noodle soup they did not taste all that good. The noodles were soaked in soup for too long so they were soggy by the time I got them, and the wontons had barely any meat in them so all that was there tasted like wonton wrap with flour-y after taste.

Well hell, I don’t know where y’all have been eating, but I ordered the sesame chicken combo meal and it was probably one of the worst things I’ve ever tasted. I was super stoked to find a place that had mostly great reviews, was reasonably priced, and delivered… but I won’t be giving this a second shot. The chicken didn’t even have sesame seeds on it, which was a little weird but I was too excited about my food to care… and then I tasted it. Blech. 2% chicken, 98% sawdust. The sauce was extremely watery and brown, and didn’t have much flavor(unless you reeeeally like salt). I even added sesame seeds & sriracha sauce but couldn’t finish half of it. I chose the white rice & crab rangoons. I’m a die hard fan of those bad boys, and these probably deserved a 3-star rating. Decent, but not amazing. Perhaps other items on the menu are much better? Either way, I won’t be finding out.

The udon noodles at this place are insanely good. I’ve tried the shanghai ones with beef, and also the shrimp udon. Both have been amazing every time. The shrimp are baby shrimp cooked perfectly with the noodles. Also, the string beans are so fresh and flavorful. An order of udon noodles and string beans is the perfect meal for 2… and cheap! I’ve had other things off the menu and been unimpressed… but these 2 dishes make this place a delivery staple.

The portions are good for the price, and some of the food does indeed taste fresh, but I was not impressed with the taste of my order. Although the meat in my curry beef tasted like it was grilled that day, the sauce seemed weak to me. Much worse was the hot and sour soup, which was more literally sour than any I’ve ever had. It tasted like a bit a vinegar was added, actually. I was encouraged to order rice(which I did, steamed), although the grilled chicken kabobs came with a large amount of fried rice that seemed to be doused in a lot of cheap soy sauce(the kind consisting of caramel color and MSG, which is what they give you with your order). The delivery was fast, and the ingredients seemed good, so I will probably give them another chance, but I will not be in a hurry to do so.
