I just got my lip wax, nails and hair done here and I was very pleased with the service. they were very patient with me and they showed me a lot of different things that they had for nails like stickers and jewels and stuff so I could see what I would want. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. A few of my friends have always gone to this place and I finally decided to give it a try and I was not disappointed. I’m definitely planning on making this place my usual.

I have a love hate relationship with this place. Allan is why I keep coming but it’s annoying to have a different girl do your toes every time. To be on top of wether instruments are sterile or not. When busy I feel rushed and neglected. Allan is great with nails but his support system sucks. Waiting 2 hours to be seened is unacceptable and God forbid you say anything they’ll look at you like you are crazy. They’re presentation isn’t the best and the dust is overwhelming.

I have been a regular at this place for about 3 years now. The owners keep up the place and make sure the staff is well trained. Never had a problem. Actually, when I have a manicure done here, it lasts about 10 – 15 days. Am talking a regular manicure. Have tried other places when in a rush and they don’t compare. It is worth the walk to 8^th avenue for a mani pedi.

Sucked. It’s messy in there, there is dirt buildup everywhere, and scum in the foot baths. They also had crappy fake nail polish in the expensive bottles, and everything was just CHEAP. Their prices are only a few bucks less than more expensive spas, so don’t go there. do yourself a favor and go somewhere more HYGIENIC (clean).
I’m afraid to get a fungus if I go there.

I’m going to think long and hard before going there again. Talk about horrible customer service. If you are not a regular, don’t bother, they will stop what they are doing to you to cater to a regular or another Asian person. I was there for 2 and half hours for a gel manicure. The only reason I stayed is because my nails were half way done. and I already paid… what a mistake. I am an easy person to please, you can tell by my reviews. but jeez, they are lucky I am not a vindictive person.

Only went here for a quick, super affordable eyebrow & lip wax ($ 5 each), and was unprepared for what an amazing job my waxer did! She was so fast and efficient, only needed 2 strips per eyebrow, and it looked fantastic. My only complaint is that like every other quickie place in the neighborhood, she used baby oil (mineral oil) to remove any leftover wax. Mineral oil is pore-clogging and for those of us with acne prone skin, it’s undesirable. Fortunately I live less than a block from here so I just walked home to wash my face. I’m super thrilled with 8^th Ave Spa and can’t wait to go back and get an $ 11 pedicure!

This place is a pretty decent sized nail salon. I came here for a mani & pedi and was charged $ 25, which is insane because in Brooklyn you can get a mani & pedi for under $ 15. I should’ve asked about the price first.
