update– to the company’s credit they did call me today (¹⁰⁄₂₂) to apologize. The caller claimed I spoke to service not the office and there was a problem in getting the call. After reading my review they tracked down the call. I appreciate the outreach but don’t expect to use this service.,

I am giving this company 5 stars for the quality of their work, and less than one star for the fairness of their pricing which averages 3 stars. It has taken me several weeks to decide about writing this review. I had a leak from the lead bend under my toilet that had to be replaced, and also replaced the toilet. This company does all it says in its advertising. They are professional, responsive, timely, and referred me to a contractor to repair the floor damage caused by workt he plumber’s helper did to reach the lead bend. The issue here is their flat price pricing structure which results in labor costs in excess of $ 300 per hour per man (including plumber’s helper). They also have a Difficult Access Charge of $ 493 to chop through a bathroom floor. It took the plumber’s helper 17 minutes (not very difficult) which is nearly $ 1500 per hour!
I protestd the charge, without success, since the cost for replacing the lead bend was already $ 797, requires chopping up the adjacent area, and took a bit more than an hour. If you want wuality work use them, be be prepared to pay a hefty price for their services.

These guys are the bomb! They are courteous and do impeccable work. If it’s an emergency they hook you up immediately and stand by their work. Good guys too. Not necessarily cheap. But you get what you pay for. Will only use them from now on.

We had a serious problem with the boiler and contacted the company that installed it originally. They wanted $ 165 to step in the door and we would have to wait at least a day. We called A Good Plumber and the service fee was $ 65. They replaced two parts the same day with a total bill of $ 195. We have always had good service, but this is the first time we could make a direct comparison.
