A & J Pizzeria

Terrible food. Took 15 minutes of vomiting to get this disgusting pizza out of my body. If you care about what you eat, I strongly recommend not eating here. McDonald’s is a better choice then a.j.s

Pizza arrived cold. Delivery boy gave attitude about tip although they offer free delivery. On top of that, later they made an unauthorized charge and charged additional 5 dollars tip through Eat24. Never will order through the app or this restaurant again!

around the corner from Maimonides hospital. came here for quick bite on NYE and the guys at the counter were super nice. pizza is a little on the crispy side (would prefer it a little softer with some flex) but still pretty good. got a free order of zeppoles so just wanted to give the guys here a shout out!

The fresh mozzarella pie is great! We’ve been getting it for about 2 years. Haven’t got tired of it, so the rest of the menu has gone unexplored. They aren’t stingy with the cheese, and the pie is also topped with thin sliced tomatoes.

I was looking for a place to deliver to our hotel because we were tired and looking for some good eats. This place hit the spot. The woman who took our order was really friendly and a little while later a delicious pepperoni pizza arrived at our door. It was hot, cheesy and absolutely hit the spot. Highly recommend!

Good food, tacos are a little bigger than street tacos.

I been here on Monday night. I was scared of eating pizza at 9 pm but as I was very hungry, I decided to stop by for a slice. I tried many places in the neighborhood already so I didn’t have big expectations, but I got surprised in a very good way. The pizza was not oily at all and it was also thin with full of toppings. I ordered one more right after I finished the first one. The service was awesome, they made me feel really comfortable there. I will be back!

Good food warm attention and clean environment. That’s what I look for in a food service establishment and A&j covers it. Good job guys keep it up!

I’ve been eating pizza here for more than 10 years (minus the stint at college). A wonderful, no-​nonsense family owned business. The pizza is consistently good and fresh, service is super friendly and quick. I love AJ’s! Also their chicken roll is a great

First (1^st) time in fourteen (14) years I have had to order «to go» for something that traditionally should be ordered when present and then wait; VERY VERY VERY pleasantly pleasured! I hopped off the subway and walked over and VOILA it’s ready and waiting and HOT.
(I am out in Borough Park at least two (2) to three (3) days a week for a client of mine. (I’m a film/​TV/​theatre/​literary agent.))
Since there are minimal dining options, I look for something that’s both convenient and with food that (‘s) prepared/​tastes GREAT!
A & J satisfies all three (3) BRILLIANTLY!
When you leave the Ft Hamilton Parkway (D Train) station you cannot miss the sign.
The staff is as attentive and customer-​service-​oriented as the finest five-​star (*****) NY Times-​reviewed establishments; they will «bend over backwards to accommodate.»
A rarity in this age.
Tonight Abraham was in the kitchen and prepared my spaghetti with fried chicken breast with garlic and oil just as competently and professionally as Michelle does during the day. (I’ve eaten there during the day the same meal and so can comment equally as honest.)
I’m a «stickler» for details and THIS place deserves attention both «in the neighborhood» and beyond.

Their pizza is great. Great family atmosphere (restroom amenity). The price is good. It is the best bargain in the neighborhood. Wow, they deliver to Maimonides Hospital.

I went to Elementry School right across the street from this Pizzeria and would get a slice usualLy twice a week here. I had not eaten here in over ten years and within the last few years, I started to order pizzas here. $ 12 bucks for a large pie, that is actually good is a good deal by me, they recently raised the price a dollar, but that is still fine by me. Decent pizza at a decent price!

Eating at A & J Pizzeria made me reminisce of my childhood-​from the good old fashion pizzeria décor to how a real New York thin slice used to be. The slice was good, the sauce was savory, the cheese was tasty and gooey and the dough was perfect as it should be. I live in Kensington and will travel any day to Borough Park for a fresh slice from A & J.

I Keep the lights on in this Place. EVERYTHING is good. Quintessential neighborhood Pizzeria. Beef Patties… great…Slices…Great…Heros…great. The Guys who work here are nice guys and are always friendly. i spend about 50 bucks a week here.

I used to eat at this pizzeria pretty often as a kid. I’ve been coming here for 20 years now!!! I got to know Joe and the entire staff. They are a bunch of great people! Their pizza is always fresh and the crust is yummy! I honestly never tried any toppings as I like cheese slices the best.
Their pasta are pretty damn good as well. Always made fresh! The downside is the wait for it. Stuff shells are my favorite of mine and they do it just right.
I also get beef patties with cheese from them as well.
They’re not the best pizzeria around (when you’re comparing them to other Brooklyn places, but they are up there in my books). When you compare A&J’s to what I get in Jersey, they ARE THE BEST!
With the high cost of cheese and everything else, A&J still manage to keep the prices very reasonable.
Although Joe isn’t working as much as he’s getting older, his staff seems like they’ve learned all his tricks. Every time I go in and see Joe, it brings a great smile to my face knowing the man that built this pizzeria is still able to do what he loves best… making great Italian food!!!

My goto for a slice in the neighborhood.

My boyfriend and I eat a slice from AJ’s almost every other day. It’s awesome pizza, this neighborhood does not have a lot of food options for the non-​kosher eaters and I am lucky to have found this place.
They have a great Brooklyn pizza, the right amount of dough, Sauce and cheese and also great temp, not luke warm and not to hot! They have everything you need a slice. The best thing about them is Free Zepoli’s Thursday with your order!
Also CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP, can’t beat the price!

A competent pizza, however, nothing I would rave about. It’s a solid pizza well executed: the Neapolitan slice is thin and the cheese is tasty. My one criticism is that the sauce is understated and almost an afterthought. I wish it had more of a zesty tomato flavor. This is pretty much what a typical Brooklyn pizza is about.
Here’s my one sentence summary: It’s a very decent pizza, but somewhat forgettable.
I uploaded a picture of a meatball hero. Notice how my hero is «splayed». It tasted good, but I was a little shocked at the presentation.
