This is the same business also listed in Gravesend, Brooklyn. Lazy movers who charge you for their smoking breaks and overcharge you for things you didn’t need or ask for. They were so bad I filed a complaint with the BBB. Avoid like the plague.
Michael quoted me over the phone a moving fee of $ 80/​hr for a 3 person crew, with no transit fee, no climbing-​stairs fee, no extra packaging fee, and 3 free wardrobes.
That was confirmed by Ura, the foreman and I signed a blank bill of lading for the move. When we arrived at my new home and Ura brought over paperwork, he added charges for an extra half hour of work that his crew didn’t perform, a charge for a wardrobe box, a charge for bubble wrap, and a charge for saran wrap — none of which was on the original contract, nor were prices quoted to me, nor was I asked at any time if I wanted the additional items. I objected and Ura threatened to take the truck (with my belongings) away. I was willing to pay the time worked but not the excess charges, especially since I had my own packing materials that were in plain sight (and used by the moving crew) as well as the fact that no one quoted me the extra costs, nor asked my permission to apply them (and they were exhorbitant — $ 100 for saran wrap, $ 90 for bubble wrap, $ 18 for a box); Michael told me that his crew had to ask my permission before using the «extra cost» items, yet no one did. Ura said that my signing the original blank bill of lading was sufficient permission.
