I totally love Aldi. I love the prices. I love the products. I love the wages they pay their employees. I love that whenever I shop there, the employees are seated while ringing up purchases. Yes they mainly carry their own brands and the produce/meat can be spotty at times but that won’t stop me from giving them my money. Where else can you pay under $ 3 for a gallon of milk in NYC? If they were closer, I’d go there more often. As it is, I make it a point to do one or two big trips here a month because I just have nothing truly bad to say about the company and this location. I love Aldi.

The place had nice prices, but was very small. I went here because I heard that the produce was a great price. They were but the selection was sparse. I didn’t have much to choose from. I don’t think that I would be back. Also you have to buy your own bags.

I am big fan of Aldi I love the products the last time I went there someone just walked out with a cart full of food they need security. Then I watched another lady steal a whole bunch of stuff shove it in a bag. Come on Aldi your losing money which in turn will make the prices go up. I think I’ll go back to the Rego Park store. I told one of the workers he said it happens at that store all the time. So he went back to the manager they looked at the camera then they called the police. Get it together. For those who don’t realize Aldi products are produced in the same place that name brands are.

Update 3÷1÷2016: Yes credit cards! When I first visited an Aldi a couple of years ago it was all low-priced store-brand knockoffs of name-brand products. That’s still true now, but with a major quality upgrade. I’m glad to see that Aldi now has lots of healthy options. The SimplyNature brand has no antibiotics, no hormones, no animal bi-products, no synthetic colors, no trans fats, and no msg added. Some of their products are even GMO-free. And yay, there’s almond milk and soymilk in the dairy case. It’s possible to eat pretty well and very cheaply by shopping at Aldi. Caveats: no credit cards, no free shopping bags, and long slow checkout lines.

The prices on the staples(milk, bread, eggs) are very good. They have some popular brands and other lesser known brands. Some of the lesser known brands are not of the same quality of the popular brands, but you can’t have it all! I’ll be here often and gradually learn what I like. The prices are great and they treat their workers well, it seems.

I enjoy shopping in aldi’s, i get what i come for every time and much more for the lowest prices. This supermarket is always crowded on the weekends and it always have me wondering if they aren’t over staffed with the amount of help they have on the floor. Don’t need to go to Atlanta no more for aldi’s i hope they don’t raise the prices cause this is NY after all

You definitely can’t do all your grocery shopping here, but the things they do have, you will not find cheaper elsewhere. A 2 quart carton of lactose free milk for under $ 3, ketchup that is cheaper than BJ’s(couldn’t tell the difference between this brand and Heinz), a 10 pound bag of potatoes for $ 3, chicken breasts for $ 1.79 a pound, the list goes on. It’s never terribly crowded at this location and if the line gets long, they always open another register. My only gripe is that they are sometimes really low on stock.

The first time I shopped here I was amazed at the prices and everything was so neat and fresh. The staff was really helpful until we went to check out. The woman ringing us up was extremely rude. She was clearly having a rough day and threw our groceries into the cart(which included produce, bread and a gallon of milk). We tried shopping there again this time the woman was sweet so we decided to give it another shot, thinking maybe the girl was having a bad day. We all have those. But no, we went back and because there was only one register open we waited on a line for the same rude girl. Again she threw our groceries into the cart. Will not be returning. The place has also gone down in the quality of food we have found. Our last time in we noticed the fruits and veggies didn’t look as good.

–Almond milk for $ 2.59. About half the price of anywhere else. Yes, please. –13 cents an egg. It’s cheaper than at BJ’s, even though you think you’re getting a better deal at BJ’s because the cartons are bigger; do the math. BUT, the price of eggs has been creeping up here. From $ 1.50-something a dozen to $ 3-something a dozen. -$ 3 watermelons –Cheap butter –Garlic bread for less than half the price of the brand names –A big ‘ol bag of no-name breakfast sausage on the cheap. I’ll take it! Groceries are expensive, so definitely get the no-frills basics here and walk away happy with the knowledge that you are saving big! Note: They only accept debit and cash; no credit. You need a quarter, which you get back, to use a grocery cart. Bring your own bags if you don’t want to be charged for them. There are some items that you will find cheaper at places other than Aldi, so do your research. Also, I haven’t seen good Idaho potatoes here yet. They seem to be already past their shelf life.

So I’m still looking for a dress to wear to a wedding! So I decided to go to gateway and take a look into Marshalls. As I drive along my usual route… BAM… a development was built over night. New stores are planning to open by the end of August but Aldi was already open for business so I decided to take a peek. I got chills looking at the prices. At any other store I would have spent at least $ 80 to $ 90 dollars but I only spent $ 40.00 on groceries plus $ 3.99 for their bags. Oh yeah, make sure you bring your own bags or you will have to pay. At first I was pretty annoyed but once I saw how cheap my bill was I totally got it, and it’s worth it! .50 cents for bread and .25 cents for a big bag of grapes. Yes you read correctly, there is no typo. I can’t wait to return! I love finding bargains. I took one star off because it’s not a «complete» grocery store but it is pretty darn close! I still have to go to another grocery store for certain items like my favorite cereal… Frosted Flakes.
