Co workers and I have been going here for regular cleanings and check-​ups for some time — no complaints. The hours and location work for us, and service is prompt, even without an appointment.

I was referred to this office by a friend who said that Dr. Bakri is a great dentist and that she has been going there for years even though she pays out of pocket and could find a dentist in-​network with her insurance. Must be a great dentist, right?
Well I wouldn’t know. The receptionist at the front desk answered the phone with such an attitude I thought I might have called the wrong place. After explaining to her that I don’t have dental insurance and that I want to pay myself, I asked how much is the cost of an office visit? To which she responded that they don’t give prices over the phone.
I work in a dental office myself. And there are many procedures that we don’t estimate over the phone because they differ by patient and treatment needed. But to not give the cost of the first office visit and evaluation? How would I know how much to bring with me to the first visit? How would I know if I can afford it?
I have never been to a healthcare facility that is unable to quote the price of a new patient office visit over the phone. The whole experience was disappointing and I will be finding a better dental office elsewhere!
