horrible nail salon and it was my first time, bad attitude and poor service.

Worst nail salon I’ve ever been to! They changed their name to Star Nails, but what they need to change is their employees(among other things). They’re rude, unprofessional, inexperienced and their nail polish selections are terrible. Don’t let all the pretty colors fool you. The nail polishes are cheap and diluted. My manicure only lasted 3 days. Never again will I go to these people.

On 5ave, this is only one of the nail salons. It’s not the best but it isn’t that bad either. The prices are decent, you basically get what you pay for. I would say best to make it seem like you are going to tip them good and act like a crazy person like if it isn’t person you will throw a fit kind of person because just to not have to deal with you, they will actually get it done right. I went with my friends here a couple of times. I think they changed management over the years because when something wasn’t done right and the person refuse to admit that there is something wrong, the manager would personally come can help her fix it for free, which the person that messed up and is suppose to be responsible for it would say that she would have to charge you extra because everything is done already and she isn’t working for free so she would HAVE to charge you to redo it.(such a scam) If possible and for the people that are planning to get their nails done here, pick a guy to do your nails. I am not sure what it is but the guys there tend to do the nails better because they are scare of hurting you when they file your nails so they tend to be more careful rather than the ladies there that would know that they just file you(not your nails but you, your skin) but purposely act like nothing happen and if you give them a look then they would just say oh it’s fine then continue doing whatever they are doing. I guess it just depends if you are lucky on getting the right person to do your nails there. I am random when it comes to who do my nails there but after figuring out that the guys does a better job, I tend to wait till a guy is available to do my nails because the ladies always mess up, I simply just hate my nails being too thick and uneven when i get tips. As for eyebrows, me and my friends got our eyebrows done there once then never again. They didn’t make our eyebrow have a shape or what so ever. It was basically a thin line across, my eyebrows were basically gone and uneven. I had to pencil in my eyebrows till it grew back out just so it looks like I have eyebrows. Nowadays, I go somewhere else to get my nails and eyebrow done because at least other places believe in customer service.

I came here with a friend of mine, my friend got her eyebrows waxed and acrylic nails, while I just got a manicure. The woman applying my friend’s nails messed up on one of the fingers while she was chatting with one of her coworkers, but when I pointed it out, she said it looked fine to her, which pissed me off cause it was obviously crooked and acrylic nails last for a long time. I told her this and she fixed it, but she was obviously mad at me after. Not very good service. My friend’s eyebrows were done nicely though, so I brought another friend here around a week later cause she said she wanted to look nice on a date, and so she came to get her eyebrows done. The lady messed up her right eyebrow, making them uneven, so she had to fix it, and it ended up making my friend’s eyebrows thinner than she’d have liked. It looked fine to me, but it wasn’t to my friend’s preferences, which I guess is what really matters. The employees here are alright, they’re doing their jobs, but they’re not taking it very seriously, which I can sort of understand because they’re just doing nails. Will probably not come back here again.
