Got the duck bun. Very tasty! A little sweet but with that extra spicy sauce for spicy lovers, it was a great balance. I would recommend this spot.

Bite Size Kitchen catered our wedding! Connie teaches classes at Brooklyn Kitchen, and we got our referral from a friend who works there. Lucky, lucky us. I’m half Filipino, so it was important to me to have some Asian-inspired food at the wedding. I specifically requested lumpia shanghai, and she delivered! We got married almost a year ago, and people still talk about how great the food was. Definitely recommend working with Connie in any capacity

I had their pork bun at the Brooklyn Smorgasburg. Absolutely delicious! Get one. Or two.

Bite Size Kitchen serves up steamed Buns that are definitely more than bite-size. They are still small, but overall they do in-fact take a few bites to finish.(In other words, bigger than your passed hor d’ouerves.) We tried the braised pork belly, and the duck(they cost 1 for $ 4 and 2 for $ 7) and both were delicious. From the bun itself, to the meat(not too fatty, but not too lean either), sauce, and garnishes, it’s tasty and — even if it’s just one of many appetizers while at Smorgasburg — definitely worth trying.

My BFF took me to the Smorgasburg on a chilly Saturday afternoon, and the moment I walked past the Bite Size Kitchen booth, I knew I was going to get something. I’m going to admit it, I’m a smily-bun addict. If you have never had a «smiley bun», it’s a Chinese treat. The bun is a fluffy white bun that has been steamed, not baked, so it’s tender and fluffy without any crust. It’s folded over to look like a smile, and used like a taco, to hold delicious meats. First, I got the duck, which was a deliciously well prepared slice of duck breast. While delicious, I wouldn’t have raved about it, except that they also added a perfectly square and thin slice of tender ginger. At first I thought that it was a slice of cheese, but once I bit into it, the burst of brightness and spicy tangyness, coupled with the tender duck… it was perfection. However, for me, is the braised pork bun. The pork was so tender and succent and fatty and juicy. My mom makes a similar pork bun, and I’m going to say… mom might have lost out by a smidge. This thing was ridiculously good. It was so good that after a few more stalls at Smorgasburg… I headed back to get another one. My only complaint: why are they so small? I wanted my buns to last FOREVEEEEER!

The buns are good here, but nothing amazing. Also, they are small, 2 bites and you’re done. Not worth the $ 4 price tag.

We’re big fans of pork belly. But never had this tasting so wonderfully delicious cooked this way! Not gross heavy fat! Done to perfection.

I discovered Bite Size Kitchen at Smorgasburg. They create the most delectable little dishes. I highly recommend the steamed buns with crispy duck. It just doesn’t get any better than that… well, unless you order the pork belly bun. It’s hard to decide, which is more delicious!

So walking past the chick working there noticed we had a few too many beverages in us and called us out. Now, it’s hot as balls, I walked there from manhattan so I was a little tipsy. She said it with a smile, and thats what pulled me in. I figured what the fuck, let me try these things. I got the Braised Pork Belly with Sliced Cucumber, Pickled Jalapeño, Scallions and Hoisin. I must say, it was delicious. The bun was tasty, the meat was great, the toppings were too. It’s a few bites, but it really is something I could eat again and be completely happy while doing so. I suggest giving it a shot. Well worth it!

We got a couple of things from their stand at the Smorgasburg. This place is FANTASTIC! We had the Bulgogi Pork Sliders and the Braised Pork Belly Buns and both were great. The people we were with had the Peaches with coconut-ginger ricotta and were raving about them(I should have taken an offered taste, my BIG mistake). We wanted to get seconds on our way out of the market, but the line was too long. They deserved the success and the business!
