Brian was excellent. He came same day, removed a large sofa from my apartment and down three flights of stairs. When he showed up he was alone and I asked where the other guy was. He said he could do it by himself. I almost laughed out loud. Amazingly, he did just that. It was a seven foot sofa and he carried it down alone. I’m actually still laughing a little bit because it was so unbelievable.
I will definitely use him again. He’s fantastic.

I think it only took about an hour for him to remove my bed frame, mattress, 6-​drawer chest and desk while I was slowly clearing my things from them. He was very patient with me and he was great to talk to. I don’t know how to thank him more! Removing furniture is such a headache here in the city and Brian is definitely the guy to call!!!

Had some set pieces from a play that I needed to get rid of. Brian’s quote was much more reasonable than the other junk removal quotes I received. Driver showed up 30 mins late but it was first thing in the morning and the weather was bad. It took me a couple days and a little prodding to get a receipt. But those complaints are minor — especially when considering the great price. I would definitely use Brian’s service again.

Brian was awesome. He responded instantly to a message I sent over Unilocal early in the morning (before 8am), and was loading up the shipping container from our sidewalk into his van less than an hour afterward. He was incredibly communicative, friendly and professional. He arrived exactly when he said he would and charged a fair and reasonable rate, especially considering it was a same-​day (same-​hour!) job.

I called Brian to remove construction leftovers of a large renovation project cluttering our basement for the last ten years (including dozens of paint cans). He also took apart and removed a heavy Nordic Track treadmill from our second floor. I had first considered 1800GotJunk? for the job, but they were incredibly expensive (charging by volume not weight) and I wanted to work with a small business owner. Brian was great. He was a total professional throughout the process: responsive to my emails, prompt arrival, took care that no damage was done to the walls (from the treadmill), reasonably priced, and gave me time to make sure everything I wanted was out of the house. I wouldn’t hesitate using his services again.

Brian was quick to respond on a Sunday and showed up about 15 minutes after my inquiry for some junk removal. That is of course part luck that he happened to be in my neighborhood at the right time, but still the response time was remarkable. The 5 stars is mainly for the fact that he was just a really nice person to deal with. His price was totally reasonable, and even though I live on an annoyingly narrow block, he pulled his truck up to the intersection at the end of it, and without the slightest fuss or grousing about the narrow block (which believe me, I’ve heard from countless professionals with trucks over the past 5 years) he just started picking up and hauling all our junk halfway up the block. Friendly, hard working and reasonably priced — I’m honestly surprised the man doesn’t have a fluffy rainbow tail and a magic horn growing out of his head. Extremely satisfied.

Brian returned my message within an hour to remove a window AC unit. He messaged me twice to let me know when he was 30 minutes away and then 15 minutes away from my apartment. When he arrived he was polite and listened well to what I needed done. Within 5 minutes, Brian removed my window AC and hauled it away. I was extremely satisfied with the transaction; the cost was reasonable and most importantly, it was accomplished same day. Other contractors that I contacted responded days after my request. Brian was a fantastic mover. Good communication, punctual, honest pricing that he stuck to, and did a good job with the move itself. I moved a pretty heavy butcher block table top (6′ x 3′) from Sunnyside, Queens to the East Village, Manhattan and he was all around great. Very available over text message leading up to the move. I will definitely use him going forward.

Brian helped us move four huge, heavy metal cabinets from one of our offices in Manhattan to another one in Jersey City. He was helpful, flexible, and very communicative. I never write reviews on Unilocal,but I was SO happy with Brian’s service. He was extremely efficient, prompt in replying, punctual, hard working and patient. He shopped for my IKEA items in Brooklyn, spent 3 hours doing so. Then delivered the furniture to my apartment in Manhattan the next morning on time! Always replies quickly, respects his clients, unbelievably efficient and hard working. The price he charges is also reasonable, although i tipped him largely since it is rare to meet such nice movers in the city.
Was absolutely stunned. BEST mover in the NY area. I had contacted him a few days prior to my move in date and he was able to accommodate me. Even while shopping for furniture in IKEA he was patient when some items were out of stock. And I must say, all the items delivered were in pristine condition. Truly dedicated. Brian was awesome! He picked up a fragile piece for me from Riverhead and delivered it to the city. He was very responsive, sent me pictures of the item upon pick up and delivered it on time (early, actually)! He was very fair and worked with me on a price. I highly recommend him.

Working with Brian was fantastic! My roommate and I asked for his help driving some furniture from Ikea Brooklyn to our apartment in the East Village, a fifth floor walk-​up. I contacted a few people and his quote was definitely the lowest. He said he would do the job solo, which I was a little worried about, but that ended up not being a problem at all and I’m glad I was able to save the cost of paying for 2 guys. Brian stayed in great communication over text and phone and was super quick about everything. We finished ahead of schedule, which is always welcome! He even agreed to move my roommate’s old dresser (enormous) down to the curb, not part of our original agreement. Would definitely hire Brian again.

I haven’t written a Unilocal review in over a year but Brian’s stellar service compelled me to come out of my cave and support his business.
Brian and Kyle helped me make 4 stops across Brooklyn to pick up some craigslist purchases. They met me on time at the first address I gave them and were efficient navigating and protecting the multiple items — rearranging the items, after each pick up to protect items with furniture blankets. Their sprinter van is equipped with tie downs, dollies, blankets etc. One of the sellers offered to give me a ceramic set and a second later Brian had arrived up the stairs with a box and tape. Great attitude, efficient, and so friendly! I would definitely hire them again for future moving needs.

Brian has moved me about 5 times now and I can safely say that he’s been the bright happy light in the darkness of my moves. Moving is never particularly enjoyable but having a friendly and reliable guy show up and just take care of everything is just awesome and I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Where do i start for this review. My fiancé and I were moving out of our sublet, late night we had already made plans with a car service to send over an SUV for the last bit of our belongings. The SUV never arrived instead a small four door automobile. I ordered another car, and at this point it was getting late. Long story short I ended up rolling the dice and I got to Brian.
It is now 3 o’clock in the morning and this white knight appears with his trusty van. I told him all I needed was a driver, but no he loaded up the rest of my belongings into his vehicle. He was constantly polite and courteous. You see being from the south we are told to watch out for the northern folks ;), but as stated Brian was great.
We rolled up to our new place and he moved us inside in no time. That’s not even the best part. At some point in the drive my iPad was bounced out of a box mainly due to my not securing it properly. I called Brian, he looked in his van, found it, and what do you think he asked me? If I wanted him to bring it to me! Firstly he found it, didn’t keep it, didn’t spin me a tale. He honest to god told me yep I have it, and I will bring it to you! It was late and I told him if we could meet tomorrow morning that would be great. Yet again he out did himself. We met, he gave me the last bit of my belongings, and really blew my mind with how awesome he is.
This guy is everything that you could want. Please don’t hesitate to give him a call I know I won’t.

Brian or whoever he sent (didn’t catch a name) picked up dresser for me from a Craigslist sale and he was great! He was a man of few words but I’m paying him to move furniture, not to chit chat and that’s what happened. I called last minute, he text me a list of questions, I replied and got a quote back– all within 5 minutes. He arrived an hour later.
The only weird part was he was moving a another person’s couch during the same trip so, there was another client in the front passenger seat. No room for me in the front with them, so Brian (?) had me sit on the couch in the back part of the van. It was quite hot and stuffy and I felt a little like I might be getting kid-​napped. I could see that we were going the right way from the window in the back and I still had access on my phone to the outside world so I just tried to relax, not sweat too much and not think about the situation at hand.
When we got to my place… he moved the dresser into my room. I gave him his money and that was that. Easy as pie! :-)
I will definitely use him again but this time… I’m gonna insist on sitting in front!
