Amazing food, but they kind of mislead you with the view. It is right along the river but there’s too many trees to have a view there. We were disappointed in that. The food and drinks were great though, and the music was fantastic! I’d still go back :)

I’ve just found a spot that I will return to again and again! It’s just fabulous when you can leave home with no expectation and be pleasantly surprised by the outcome. My bestie and I wanted to just take a walk around Brooklyn Bridge Park and perhaps get a bite to eat; down by the waterfront. At no time, did I have an agenda for what I/we were going to eat. We strolled and honestly, I thought perhaps I would end up having pizza or something like that because it was so late. Well, as we were walking and taking in the beautifully renovated Brooklyn Bridge Park/Dumbo, we happened upon the Brooklyn Bridge Garden Bar. Truly, I must have walked passed this place many many times but never recognized it. It’s actually hidden from view by small scrubs and trees. Naturally, this gives the inner park restaurant it’s character and ambiance. The open air café/restaurant is outdoors and because of this, I really didn’t have any expectations. I was overly impressed by the attention we received and the food was excellent. I enjoyed the special of the day(lamb burger with steaks fries) and my friend enjoyed a regular burger with fries as well. At some point between our eating and laughing, we both looked up and acknowledged each other’s mutual satisfaction.

Great food, nice waiters, beer choices could be better. Not everyone loves IPAs and they should switch up the music. Kind of boring vibe because of the music. Would still come back though!

Loved the food and staff couldn’t have been nicer and accommodating. The burger was juicy with a special sauce of tasty carmelized onions and chipotle mayonnaise. Try the piña coladas that are freshly made daily…

Great place, awesome view. Okay prices. Horrible hostess 8÷23÷2015. Rude and generally annoyed at having to be here.

Meh! Tourist trap. Subpar service. Subpar food. Only redemption is outside and location. For true NYCers… we can do better.

Horrribleee service!!! We were seated where it was crowded even though a lot of their tables were EMPTY! so we sit and the menu is so limited and expensive for whatever reason. For drinks I ordered the mojito, & it tasted like gingerale soda & was the smallest cup I’ve seen for the price. Onto the food we both ordered fish tacos, I mean THE fish taco. It was one big ass taco with a side of salty ass salad. The sauce from the taco made the bread soggy you just had to cut into it as if you’re eating a quesadilla. Who made up this menu?! On the side I ordered the potatoes, they never came! Idiot waiter forgot to fucking put that order in. How smart!

Tantalizing view of the Brooklyn bridge and the Manhattan bridge right behind it. Good food. I had the grilled salmon burger and really liked it. The open air settings makes it a perfect super spot for lunch! Had to wait 10 minutes to get a table, may be because it was a holiday. The wait for food was just about the right amount of time. Which means the cooked it right then and served! Great experience overall!

Very nice place to eat and drink. It’s private due to the trees and plants that block you from the other side. The problem is the view. Service is a little slow and it’s seems like there are tourists who work there. The food is pricy but it’s good. The music was awesome all night until they switched it to «I want to kill myself» songs came on. That prompted me to get the check and be gone. They have some interesting mixed drinks. Check it out.

Appears to be a family run place with all of the negatives and none of the positives. The serving staff(likely the owner’s close relatives) were rude and disgruntled, performing their duties with the enthusiasm of an indentured servant. Went on a empty Wednesday night and was greeted by a dispirited server asking us in an annoyed tone of voice: «what are you here for? Drinks or food?» We responded that we just wanted to get some drinks. The server then tried to usher us to the less desirable seating area despite there being plenty of seating available. After some protest the server finally let us sit where we wanted to go. After being allowed the privilege of picking our seats on an empty night we were allowed to order a overpriced $ 40 bottle of cheap prosecco. I wanted to like this place due to the great location but they don’t make it easy!

Great location. Beautiful view of the bridge and skyline. The setting is cozy and relaxing. The staff are nice, but take a while to serve you and refill drinks, etc. The night my friends and i went wasn’t really busy, but the wait time was long. I didn’t like that the drinks were served in little plastic cups. The burger i ordered was very good though, and came with mixed greens and dressing. The burger was worth the money, but my friends all agreed that the drinks were watered down and overpriced. Overall this is a nice place to grab a bite and chat with frineds and look at a great view.

Nice little breezy outdoor bar/grill…no wait on a Friday afternoon. Ordered a brooklyn bridge sunset. Delicious, but expensive. I expected to pay 6 or 7 dollars tops. For 12 dollars I want an umbrella, glass with ice and more than a 10 Oz plastic cup.

«It is not allowed!»… Depois: «ITISNOTALLOWEDSIR! SORRY!» Ok! No tip!

The sangria was just ok. It’s definitely an order yourself at the counter and grab a seat situation. Despite the humid day(that I went), it was fairly cool in the shade, and you can’t beat the ambiance. The menu selection is skimpy. The meat plate was very small(I thought) for the price. On the flip side, the watermelon salad was REALLY delicious. I’d file this under places to go for to appreciate the view.

I LOVED this place! We walked across the bridge from Manhattan so we were looking for a nice place to relax, have a drink and get a view of the water and skyline — Unilocal guided us to Brooklyn Bridge Wine Bar. We used our map app on our smartphone because it is a bit off the beaten path(to the right off Water St. tucked away behind trees) and discovered this hidden gem, dotted with colorful umbrellas and tables. We picked a spot with a very limited view of the water and ordered some drinks. The prices were steep but the drinks weren’t weak like some places in the city. Our server was quick and pleasant enough. We stayed long enough for a round and then off we went to see more sights in Brooklyn Bridge Park. All in all this was a great spot and we would recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

Perfectly articulated by other Unilocalers. It’s fantastic for the ambiance and the view but sadly it ain’t for locals. Overrun with tourists, service is mediocre and the food is really really overpriced. Had the hanger steak($ 22!!) that came with a side like of tomatoes. Bland and slightly overcooked. The quesadilla($ 13) was uninspired and underwhelming. The presentation of both was good(on wooden boards) but the plastic cutlery kills it. Come for the view and a drink or two but grab a pizza to go at Juliana’s instead for food.

Four Things I Appreciate About Brooklyn Bridge Garden Bar. 1. The view. 2. All the beers on tap are local. 3. They serve pitchers. 4. The other patrons barely looked outraged when one of my compatriots so callously(and audibly) used the word«cuntpunt» in conversation.
