You guys were better before the reno. The inside looks cool but your layout has become more cookie cutter like most clubs. An the lack of seating for anyone other then VIP is bad for business. Your saving grace is the quality of shows that come into the club, and a floor staff who are super respectful and friendly.

A relaxed and comfy spot where you can have a drink and not scream over the noise to have a conversation. The drinks are good priced, feels like HH all day. I would def go back. If you enjoy pool theres a table in the back room, go for it!

Came in here on a wait for Lucalis. The bartender was super nice. He was telling us the history of the place which sounds pretty cool. It was empty but he said that’s not common. There is a cool backyard space. We got a girly cocktail for me and a beer for the fiancé. A chill spot. I imagine it would be nice to meet people there. Look out for it — might walk passed the door like I did!

Another Round Please! Great cocktails at a very affordable price of $ 10 a pop. Highlights: Great tasting cocktails and ample quantity per drink, no cover, never a line to get in and you can always find some space to hang and have a chat, really affordable drinks for NY standard. Can improve: Take credit cards and maybe look into opening up the space a little more. Benchmark: They set the standard for cocktails along with Ward lll. Always tried to stop by when in the area. Last visited in late 2014.

Came here for a night cap on a date… Super intimate, but fun and lively spot. Great vibe, dimly lit, a little bit difficult to find on the street. Came here to play pool, and they had a table in the back, and we didn’t have to wait to play. Drinks were great, lots of handmade specialty cocktails. I had one with gin, rosewater, and prosecco. Not too expensive either. It’s not trying to be pretentious, but is trendy nonetheless.

There is something about this bar that makes it stand out a little. The place has an old-fashioned look to it which is interesting(it used to be a social club). I’ve been here a few times and it can get a little crowded but there is still enough room to at least stand by the bar, maybe get a seat if you are lucky or stop in earlier. Overall, nice crowd and relaxing atmosphere. Great place to stop in for a drink or two, before or after dinner.

Hands down, my personal favorite. I love the people who come here, the bartenders, and the drinks. I even find the price reasonable — flat fee, $ 10 per drink. It’s a no-nonsense let’s get shit-faced on fancy cocktails kind of bar. I think everyone there would easily admit they are there to get DRUNK. The bartender clearly enjoys himself in that atmosphere. I find the clientele friendly, polite, and not at all poser-y. In fact, I shouldn’t be writing this review bc I don’t want a bunch of a-holes showing up.

I was on a first date. Very nice guy, but no sparks. The head bartender, on the other hand, was never out of my sight. Sparks definitely flew. He lives in Philly. I hope he contacts me. The curly hair and sweet smile are irresistible.

Always love this place. Whether it’s chillin with a friend over a few pints or sippin delicious martini’s on a Saturday night, the music is always great. The vibe, relaxed and sexy.

I get the kitsch and the location is great but I have simply not been too impressed by the cocktails here. I always find them to be either too over the top or not interesting enough. No balance here as far as the drinks are concerned. The service is great, though. Friendly bartenders. And the crowd is fine. I just don’t know if this is my favorite place to go out in the area.

Hmmmm… The Bartender were nice but the drinks were gross… It was so watered down. The bar is an old Italian gentlemen club. explains the oldness and creaky sticky floors. I am not opposing to «preservation», but perservation can be done better. The place just feels run down. Brooklyn Social– i know you want to be a humble neighborhood bar, but I think you have so much potential to do better. I am sorry that I didn’t fall in love with you too… oh, and you’re Cash Only! What a headache :(

Keep your eyes open, because you might miss it. And believe me, you won’t want to. To get your cocktail or beverage fix in a dimly lit, yet inviting, bar, look out for Brooklyn Social in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. At 335 Smith Street, you’ll find an all black façade, tiny slits for windows and an unassuming, recessed door. What started out years ago as a Sicilian men’s social club, is now open to «non-members», serving up some really great, potent drinks. Through the first room, toward the back, you’ll walk into another smaller room with a private couch and pool table. Just past that, walk out and enjoy the outdoor patio on a nice night. How amazing do all of these things sound? For my drink, I ordered the Neapolitan(citron vodka, lemon, Italian triple sec, pomegranate juice). This was great. The drink is a little sweet, with a great citrusy quality and nice subtle tartness from the pomegranate. You won’t even notice how pleasantly strong it is until you’re about half way through. Cheers.

A local secret. All the bartenders are so lovely. Drinks are $ 10 and strong pours. They’ll get you to where you want to be. Atmosphere is warm. I enjoyed the music the patrons were choosing from the jukebox. I got there around 6:30 and got a table in the corner. The bar was already pretty busy, for no signage on the outside.

Well, this place is awesome. All drinks are $ 10, and worth it. Bartenders are fantastic. Super chill, laid-back vibe that’ll have me coming back many, many times. The fact that I only live a few blocks away is icing on the cake. We got 4 drinks, and the total somehow came to $ 35. Now, math isn’t really my strong point, but 10×4 = 40, right? Right. Whatever! It was awesome. I definitely plan on going back, if only for the bartender recommendations. Those guys can make one helluva drink. Note: 1 star off for the music. Please turn it down – it was LOUD.

Brooklyn social is a nice crowded bar to have a cocktail at on a Saturday night! Really good cocktails but it does get crowded. Good place to wait for a table at area dinner spots.

The feeling I got was that of the shining, entering the overlook hotels bar. Totally cool right? Yeah it is. I’m very much into design and the place was spot on. The people mixed at the bar were strange maybe it was a weird night? The energy just wasn’t there. Music on was the bartenders choice. Was pretty period of the time of what the bar was supposed to be about. I liked that. The bartender was pretty reserved but sometimes you’re just not in the mood to talk a ton to patrons I guess. I wanted to like the place more and I’ll give it another try once I go back again.

Terrific old fashioned for $ 10! Dimly lit bar. Chill speakeasy vibe. Pool table. Candle lit. Cocktail love in Brooklyn. Seems like a cozy and intimate kind of place with speakeasy-like cocktails. At only $ 10 a drink it’s also much cheaper than their Manhattan counterparts. Limited cocktail menu though, but I’m sure if asked the bartenders can come up with many different concoctions. Not a lot of seating but some nooks and crannies to sit at with a few booths and tables. A solid spot for a proper cocktail for sure if looking for a more civilized spot to enjoy a libation among the many loud and crazy bars along Smith Street. Just be aware that this place is cash only which is a real fail for a cocktail bar. Don’t accept credit cards? Really?

I have been here a handful of times over the past 10 years and still feel it’s a solid neighborhood spot and a great alternative to some of the hipper pretentious cocktail bars in the area. the only downfall is that it is cash only but all cocktails are a fair $ 10. None of their specialty drinks are sweet or girly(hit Zombie Hut down the block if you are looking for something tropical!) but it’s a nice Italian inspired menu(a drink called the Neapolitan, another with Sicilian grapes and they still have remnants of the original Italian social club hanging on the wall, like a map of Sicily in the back.

Surprisingly reasonably priced cocktail bar in Carroll Gardens. Always try to saddle up here to close out a night with some pool and cheap Budweiser. They have a quaint backyard area that is sweet for summer nights before the mosquitoes eat you alive and the heat is suffocating.

Happened to be in the area, it was raining, really needed to find a bathroom, and after checking out their menu – became instantly thirsty for cocktails. We tried the Fellini, Sicilian Fizz, and Palermo Fix(all pictured above). Dimly lit and we found a cozy corner to chill. Very tasty and a nice surprise treat for a bathroom break.
