At first, I was turned off by the moldy produce and green meat. Really? Slight improvements lately on those two areas, but it would be hard to get worse LOL. However… you can actually find a few choice items in here, and at reasonable prices, which is great if you live in the area. Such as: Chobani Greek Yogurt, various other organic dairy products, Bushwick Beer(Yumm!), various Brooklyn Beers, etc. Hence the 3 stars. Just know that the vast majority of the store, other than the above items, is filled with nothing more than carbs and sugar, pure processed junk food. It’s kind of more like a super giant Bodega rather than a real supermarket, in my personal opinion. Other neighbors shop there, but I can’t imagine what they buy. Oh and they have free delivery, no minimum purchase.

This place is my go-to spot whenever I have an imitation wine and cheese party. Pork product is cheap as well. But in all honesty, if you want anything fresh or healthy, this probably wouldn’t be your best bet. It’s super close to me, so I still continue to go here for a few staples like cereal or peanut butter, but I just can’t bring myself to buy any of the produce or meat that I see there.

We have been going there for the past 3 years and while it’s not Whole Foods, the quality has VASTLY improved from our first visit all those years ago. Some organic fruits and items are cropping up slowly but surely and the meat selection is thorough and fresh! Mmm ground turkey for meatballs and smoked ham hocks for split pea soup! The dairy selection is respectable and the eggs are free range organic if need be! Overall don’t go expecting the cashier to be your new best friend but the deli guy knows how to make a mean sammie on the cheap!

Absolutely horrible produce section. If you’re a fan of shriveled up asparagus, rock hard limes, and month old greens, by all means, come on down. Everything else is not much better, poor customer service, dusty fixtures, mediocre selection of goods and not to mention terrible hours.

This place is down the street from me and it’s everything I expect of a NY grocery. I dont hate it and I don’t love it. This is where I pick up everything I forgot from the farmer’s market and Aldis.

C-town is a conveniently located, neighborhood, fairly priced grocery store. It makes Trader Joe’s feels like whole foods. No there is not an organic section but their produce is fresh and priced better than most. The green bags are kind of cute, although I wish they were either recycled and or paper bags. …But I’m not complaining. I don’t have extra tons of Benjamin’s to blow on expensive food. Best time to go would be around 7 o’clock on a weekday which is about an hour before they close. The store hours aren’t on Unilocal so I’m gonna add that in a few minutes – hold tight, boo.

One thing I like about C-Town is that the prices seem consistent for all locations at least in Brooklyn and Queens. This particular location had very overcrowded aisles making it difficult to walk through. I can only imagine if one had a shopping cart. The quality of the produce and fresh bread were good. The service was quick as well for noon.
