I don’t go to this C-Town all that often but when I do, I usually leave wondering why I don’t go here more often. This particular store is clean, well stocked and on my visits, not overly crowded. It was also nice to see them putting out fresh meat on a Sunday! The employees are friendly which is another plus. I have been in other C-Towns that were not as nice as this one, so if you live nearby, give it a try! Update: Now called Ideal. Seems to be even better run

I don’t particularly dislike this C-town. It’s clean, not very crowded with customers, and has a small parking lot next to it. There are pros and cons: Pros: — You can score many sales items on weekly specials, such as Honest Tea at $ 1 per bottle. — You can get many discounted bagels, bread, canned and frozen vegetables. — You can always get different kind of seasoning and items for Spanish/Russian/Chinese/Jamaican/Indian cooking. The variety are not as many as specialty stores and a little overpriced, but it saves me 2 hour round trips. Cons: — There are times beef steak that have gone bad(e.g. bones and the meat gone dark brown) sell at regular price. — There may be some expired products on shelf. — The membership card is useless. I guess you can also call it a good thing, you don’t have to give out your info to get a C-town card to buy weekly special items. –Lastly but not least, 1) Some items that stated on ‘sale’ have regular price tag. There are times I have to point to the original price tags to the store manager to have the cashier to ring the right price. 2) You may find stuff you don’t have on your receipt. Today when I got home I found out that they charged me a $ 4 item that I don’t have. =( Thus it’s very important for you to look at the price when they ring your items, and to double-check the items you are buying and the receipt they give you, especially when you buy a lot of grocery items.

Today was the first day for a new job. I was only here for the morning and I had to head to Manhattan to volunteer. I decided to pick up some deli meat and bread for a quicksandwich. This supermarket is very big compared to some of the other C-Town stores I’ve been to. The cashier was courteous and there was no line.
