This place is just ok. It’s nothing to write home about. The food is good but not great. The atmosphere is nice, but nothing spectacular. Service can be a bit slow when you go in for larger parties, but that can be expected anywhere. Would I go again, sure, if I wasn’t paying. But it wouldn’t be one of those places that i would be like, I can’t wait to go here again!

Delicious food! Convenient location, whether you drive or take the train(2 minute walk).

Go here for your horrible dinning experience. This is the kind of place that will spit in your food just because you asked for something so simple as a water refill and feel no remorse. I believe this is restaurant is cover for italian mafia. So if you are looking for«marana get-f’ucked» you can have one of those coming right up… horrible value for the food, awful customer service, food quality questionable. Need I say more?

Delicious Italian food. The pasta is great. They have a large variety of dishes. They also have fresh brick oven pizza. This place is amazing and it’s the only legit Italian restaurant that I live near. The price is sorta decent. It’s not cheap nor is it expensive.

Mixed reviews. I’ve combined reviews from each portion of this café below. Pizza Shop Great brick oven pizza! Pies only. no individual slices. Have eaten at the restaurant before but the service isn’t anything to write home about. Take it to go if you can! Pretty much have had all their pizzas. all delicious although I notice they’ve been starting to skimp a little on toppings. so one star off. The pizza is the best thing to order here. Pass on the antipasti, overpriced and it’s mostly iceberg lettuce and not enough of the meats/cheeses/olives. Get the large pie since its only an extra $ 2 and the pizza is still good heated up in the oven the next day! Or maybe I’m just used to doing this to all my pizzas in college. Pastry Shop Run of the mill Italian pastry shop with the pastries you would expect. Nothing spectacular and the prices are a tad high. Service overall at the pastry, pizza shop, and restaurant, is pretty terrible, sadly. The only thing that I return for is the pizza and always to go! Restaurant 2.5. Not terrible but nothing great either. Had their papparedelle with sausage and mushroom. Sausage seemed packaged and not fresh at all. No snap with the first bite. Portions are not great and have gotten significantly smaller. Also had soup, which is just a small bowl. $ 8 for soup. it had better be some sort of miracle soup! A friend had ordered Caesar salad.$ 10 with just lettuce and croutons, chicken(a really flatly pounded slice) is extra $ 6. $ 16 for a generic small salad is kind of ridiculous.

Overpriced thanks to the small portions. Left hungry even after app and meal

I’ve had both pasta and pizza here, both of which are very good. Everyone I’ve visited this place with has enjoyed their experience. I actually prefer sitting on the more casual side(which is the store front that is further from the corner,) my experience is usually better in that section for some reason.

I haven’t tried the pizza or food, but I like the bakery section on the side, the gelatto is so good.

Delicious and hearty for either a fun fledged appetizers, pizza and dessert with friends or family or a simple dessert and great cups of cappucino with your sweety. If you’re with friends of different flavors, split your pies in half one flavor and half another. The food is great, the staff is attentive and the desserts… oh my, that’s a whole other salivating experience of delicious sweet delights. The atmosphere is nice and Italian-ish with a tad rustic feel with the bare brick walls and wooden booths. A must visit for a Brooklynite!

This place us still well known and famous but the quality of food and service drastically went down. I was there on 12÷18÷10 the food was just ok, the service is below average. Time for management change?

The pizza here was excellent but the rest of the food was just good. They make the pizzas in a brick oven, which makes it extra delicious. Plenty of different types to choose from, I had the Prosciutto pie and it was fantastic. I also had the lobster bisque which was a little on the salty side and the fried mozzarella which were a little bland. it was lunch time and my family and i were the only ones there, service was top notch, but i wonder how it would be if the place was crowded. all in all i would recommend this place if you love pizza or if you love dining at a gorgeous looking restaurant other then that, i have eaten better italian at more reasonable prices elsewhere.

Café Europa… every time I drive by this restaurant I always think to myself I have to try this place one day. Never got around to it until today. I read all the reviews, heard great things, and then I felt I NEED to go. Oh how I wished I didn’t try it. First off, there are 6 to 10 doors you can walk through but you can’t tell if they are actual doors or simply meant for décor. Well, we walked around the corner until we found a door that said«Pull». As we were eating we realized we could’ve walked through the door that our car was parked in front of(go figure!). The food — what can I say about the food… it was disgustingly SALTY! Everything served was filled with a pound of salt. I love my food to be tasty not just salty. We ordered baked clams, lobster bisque, and a brick oven pizza with italian sausage and broccoli. The baked clams were topped with nasty crumpled breadcrumbs — it tasted like a fistful of sour/salty sand. The worse part was one of the clams didn’t even have a clam on it!!! The lobster bisque came in this large bowl with 4 pieces of croûton and 1 shrimp — it was watery and extremely salty! I needed to take a drink of my coke after every sip. OHTHEPIZZA! How can anyone compare this to any famous brick oven pizzeria!!! The tomato sauce was so watered down it didn’t even taste like tomato, actually it didn’t even taste like much except another pound of SALT!!! I don’t know how else to emphasize the enormous amount of salt they used in this place. If that’s what you call seasoning… I think the chefs/cooks need to go back to culinary school. I’m sorry, but I still love my typical Brooklyn pizzeria — nothing beats plain cheese with tomato sauce on a round slab of dough; the kind of pizza you can get no matter where in Brooklyn you are! You’re better off going to your corner pizzeria!

It’s a Brick Oven Pizza Place/Italian/Restaurant/Pastry Shop/Gelateri in Bensonhurst, run by real Italians, so what could be bad? We had a very good brick oven pizza with fresh mushrooms and fresh mozzarella, fusilli in pesto, and orchietta with broccoli rabe. For desert, chocolate gelato and a napolean. The food was all good, the service was pleasant and not rushed, and its a really big and roomy place — so a pleasure not to be cramped close together. Can’t say it is the best I’ve been to but it is well above average, and definitely will be back many times.

I kept thinking«this must be a chain.» Seems like it’s refined by designers and marketers. It’s a large shop. Pretty. Family friendly. «Family friendly». White white cheese. Slight fluff crust, but nothing stood out. It’s not Pizzeria Uno, but I get the feeling of quality pizzas from a slightly corporate environment — like a franchised Grimaldi’s. I wasn’t blown away by the margherita pie but maybe the other variations of pizza are remarkable. I won’t be back to try.

Its not Gramaldi’s but I have to say its pretty damn close… I am a fan of the classic pizza«cheese and sauce» don’t like to load my pizza so much I have to use a fork… God fordib. Love Europa… beer and a pie… can’t go wrong.

Been here A LOT, so feeling qualified… Fantastic thin crust pizza, so so service, the restaurant side of Europa is Ok, but not as fab as the pizza. Have some gelato post pizza and take some TODIE for Pignoli nut cookies home with you. delish!

Europa definitely has the potential for 4 – 5 stars, but my impression is a bit tainted by the strong flavor of the gorgonzola on the quattro formaggi pizza I had today. It’s not that I hate gorgonzola – I don’t. But somehow when it’s in the oven with mozzarella, fontina, and(I think) gruyère, it develops into this grotesque flavor. That said, minus the gorgonzola, the pizza was pretty good. Europa has many, many pizza options but next time I’ll be having the Margherita. Until then, three stars.

Brick oven pizza in a real brick oven? Yup. A guy who tosses the dough like a pro until it’s wafer thin? Yup. Dozens of pizza topping combos that make you wish you could eat there all day? Yup. Antipasto to drool over during the short wait for your made to order pizza? Yup. Amazing cakes and cappucino for afterwards? Yup. This place used to be a bakery, but about four years ago it opened up the brick oven pizza side to complement the cakes. Now it has expanded again to include a more formal dining space and the menu has also grown to include dinners. The sauce is so good, and the mozzarella is fresh and perfectly melted. Whether you go simple, with basil and tomato slices, or you go nuts with the sausage, anchovies, and other nutty meat-eater happy-makers, you’ll be glad you did. PS: Their booths are big enough to hold a baby car seat. You can also do both at the same time. PPS: NO. There is no relation to the Europa Café chain.
