This is an interesting spot. I stopped in because they have a bunch of outdoor seating in an area of town where no eateries have outdoor seating(not that there’s a lot of sidewalk people watching on this stretch of Stillwell Ave.). And inside it’s more of a bar than a restaurant. I deduced this by sitting at the big bar dominating the main room, which lacked pretty tables ready for a dining crowd. As the name suggests, they do have a menu with Italian food, but also other bistro/bar fare, from Chicken Marsala to Chicken Wings. The TVs were playing satellite shows from Eastern Europe, so it wasn’t exactly purely Italiano in ambiance. Outside, a Euro crowd(all guys) were enjoying discourse while sipping beers in the summer sun. So I’m not quite sure how to define the place… restaurant? Soccer sports bar? Club at night? What I do know is they have good Euro beers on tap, with glasses they keep in a freezer. This is a very good thing. Some of my favorite days were spent drinking Euro beers on sun filled sidewalks during long lost lazy summer Saturdays. Granted, these places weren’t on Stillwell Ave. but you gotta give the owners props for trying something new!
